INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
KIT# 22914
RETROFIT OVEN DOOR
A. REMOVE OLD DOOR AND STRIKE ASSEMBLIES
1. Remove oven top panel and lower front panel as required to
access door pivots. Retain all panels and screws for later
reinstallation.
2. Remove door. On left side of new door, retract hinge pins:
a. Remove and save two inner screws
b. Loosen two outer screws
c. Slide hinge pins into door
Remove and save hinge pins, brackets and screws.
3. Remove and save two screws holding strike assembly.
Discard strike assembly.
4. Remove and discard oven door gaskets.
5. Remove two screws holding upper pivot. Discard upper pivot.

Disconnect appliance from electric
power before opening any access
panel.

BURN HAZARD
Allow appliance to cool completely
before servicing.

B. PREPARE OVEN CAVITY
1. Examine oven door gaskets.
2. Install new set of oven door gaskets if old gaskets are worn,
warped, cracked or burnt.
C. INSTALL NEW DOOR ASSEMBLY
1. Clean as necessary all hinge pins, brackets and screws
saved from Step A.
2. Remove all packing materials and protective plastic from new
door assembly.
3. On left side of new door, loosely install hinge pins:
a. Slide hinge pins into door.
b. Install brackets and outer screws.
Do not tighten screws at this time.
4. Insert upper pivot bushing into hole in frame. Insert from the
bottom.
5. Set new door in place. Slide hinge pins out until they are fully
engaged in upper and lower pivots. Install inner screws, then
tighten.
6. Install strike. Flat side of strike mounts away from the oven
cavity.

before servicing.

D. ADJUST DOOR
1. Carefully close door:
a. Door should clear frame top and bottom
b. Strike should securely hold door closed
2. Examine door for alignment:
a. Gap between top of door and frame, and between bottom
of door and frame must be approximately equal. Adjust
height of door by loosening jamb nut, then turning pivot on
its screw mounting. Clockwise lowers the door height.
Re-tighten jamb nut .
b. Gap between left side of door and frame must be the
same from top to bottom. Adjust door for plumb by
loosening holding screws. Turn adjusting bolt to increase
or decrease gap at bottom. Clockwise increases gap.
Re-tighten holding screws.
c. Gap between top of door and frame must be the same
from side to side. Adjust door for level by loosening
holding screws, then raising or lowering latch-end of door
until it is level. Re-tighten holding screws.
E. FINISHING UP
Reinstall top and bottom panels.
Procedure is complete
