issues
Ergonomics is the science of designing
the job, equipment, and workplace to
fit the worker. Proper ergonomic design
is necessary to prevent Repetitive Strain
Injuries (RSI), which can develop over
time and can lead to long-term disability.
The International Ergonomics Association
defines ergonomics as follows:
Ergonomics (or human factors) is the
scientific discipline concerned with the
understanding of interactions among
humans and other elements of a system,
and the profession that applies theory,
principles, data and methods to design in
order to optimize human well-being and
overall system performance.
The solution to ergonomicly
poor workplaces
Ergoslider provides variation
Ergoslider is an ergonomic mouse option
that enables you to vary your work posi-
tion at the computer simply by switching
between the left and right hand. With
Ergoslider you control your computer
with both hands, simultaneously or alter-
nately.
Ergoslider relieves strain
The centred work approach with your
arms relaxed and close to the body,
decreases the load on your shoulders
and neck and prevents or relieves
Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI). Sit or stand
near the table, working with arms near
the body, the forearms should preferably
be close to your sides. The keyboard
and Ergoslider should be located close
together, as close to the body as pos-
sible. Work with your hands as open and
flat as possible, this reduces the static
load on hands and wrists. The built-in
wrist support provides soft relief on a
wide surface. You can even relieve your
shoulders and neck by resting your arms
against the table or on a comfortable
forearm support.
Ergoslider is very simple to use
You click, control and scroll using the bar
and buttons. Ergoslider connects quickly
with the supplied USB cable, no instal-
lation is required. Ergoslider is ultra-slim,
only 23 mm.
