Important Safety Instructions
Please keep this instruction manual in a safe place for future reference, along with
your warranty card, purchase receipt and packaging box. When correctly adhered
to, these safety instructions reduce the risk of fire, electrocution and injury.
• The appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• Young children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the
appliance. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or
near children.
• This appliance is intended for household use only. It is not suitable for
commercial/industrial use.
• Do not use this appliance outdoors or in area with high humidity.
• Do not use the appliance for any other use than its intended purpose, and only
use it as described in this manual.
• Improper installation and the use of accessory attachments not recommended or
sold by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
• Before using the deep fryer, make sure you know how it functions and how to
operate it.
• Always leave a gap of approximately 20cm around the exterior of the appliance.
• Never use the appliance near curtains, walls, under cupboards or near other
flammable materials.
• Do not place the appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner, in a heated
oven or near any other heat sources.
• Do not place the appliance near the edge of the benchtop.
• Do not use this appliance with an external timer or a separate remote
• control system.
• Place the appliance only on a dry, stable, flat and heat-resistant surface.
• Never operate the deep fryer without oil or liquid fat as this will damage the
appliance. This deep fryer is not suitable for use with solid fats as these may
contain water.
• Do not touch the appliance housing during use, it heats up and can cause burns.
• The metal materials on top of the appliance can become very hot during use; take
special care.
• Do not touch hot surfaces; use handles or knobs.
• Do not leave appliance unattended while in use. Always disconnect it from the
power outlet.
• Unplug the deep fryer from the power outlet when it is not in use and before
moving and cleaning. Allow it to cool completely before cleaning and storing.
• When not in use, store your appliance and its instruction manual in a safe and
