• Monitor flow rate and fill levels to prevent overflows and spills. Do not overfill containers or drums.
• To prevent spillage, lift the output hose and turn the handle in the opposite direction of the arrow to empty all
remaining liquids into the container before removing the pump.
• When using this product basic precautions should always be followed, including the following;
1. Read all instructions before using this product
2. To reduce the risk of injury, close supervision is necessary when a product is used near children
3. Do not put fingers or hands into this product
• Personnel should always wear proper personal protection equipment and clothing.
• Ensure that all fittings and threaded hose and pipe connections are tightened and leak free.
• Gasoline, kerosene, diesel and other flammable liquids are extremely dangerous. Keep away from heat, sparks,
and open flames as an explosion will result in severe personal injury.
• Do not use electronics or mobile communication devices such as mobile phones while pumping flammable liquids.
• Attach ground wire to pump and bond the containers that are being used to pump from and into. Ground all
containers to an known ground source to dissispate static electricity before pumping liquids.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
General Assembly
Remove the nylon insert nut and washer and install the handle on the pump shaft. Install the flat washer and nylon isert
nut. Tighten securely.
Wrap all fittings with PTFE tape or suitable thread sealant before assembling threaded connections.
A. Thread the 3/4”-NPT suction pipe or tube into the IN port. Tighten to prevent leaks.
B. Assemble the discharge hose ( sold separately) into the opposite port. Tighten to prevent leaks.
Grounding For Use With Flammable Liquids And Fuels
Grounding is the electrical connection between a containers and constant ground. A constant ground would be a pipe
or rod that is in contact with the earth. Bonding is the electrical connection between the containers. Bonding must be
complete before pumping begins.
For metal containers attached the bonding wire either to the pump or to the metal container if the pump is mounted to
the container. For plastic containers the wire must be attached to the pump. Attach the other end to the container or
vehicle that fluid is being dispensed into.
The ground wire can be attached to the pump by removing one socket head cap screw (M6 x 25) and placing the ground
wire terminal under the screw head.
A. Remove the cap screw and place the ground wire under the bolt head and reassemble to pump.
B. Tighten the cap screw and test for continuity before using.
C. Attach the other end to the vehicle or container.
OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
Pump Operation
Turn pump clockwise, in direction of the arrow shown on the pump, to start the flow of pumping liquidl. The pump will self
prime after several turns of the handle.
Stop turning the handle to stop the flow. Reverse the direction to pump in the opposite direction. The flow rate can be
controlled by the speed of rotation.
Always empty the pump after use by lifting the output hose and turn the handle in the opposite direction of the arrow to
empty all remaing liquids into the container before removing the pump.
NOTE: Operating the pump dry will reduce the life of the pump.
Do not use to pump water or water-based solutions.
USER-MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Storage
Most petroleum based liquids and fuels will provide suitable protection against rust inside the pump. It may be
necessary to spray a light oil or penetrating oil into the pump ports while turning the handle to provide additional
corrosion protection.
