Important:Thebatterypackisnotfullychargedwhenitis
purchased.Beforeusingthetrimmerforthersttime,place
thebatterypackinthechargerandchargeituntiltheLED
displayindicatesthebatteryischarged.Makesuretoread
allsafetyprecautions.Withregularuse,itwillneedshorter
chargingtime.Ifstoringfor1monthorlonger,enablestorage
modeonthecharger.Whenreadytouseagain,chargethe
batterypackuntiltheLEDdisplayindicatesthebatteryis

Troubleshooting
Usingthebatterywhenitishotcanreducetheoperatingtime.
Thebatterywillautomaticallystopworkingwhenitisoverheated
topreventdamagetoit.Removethebatteryfromthechargerand
allowittocoolbeforeplacingitbackintothetrimmer.
Usingthebatterywhenthereismoistureontheleadscancause
thetrimmertomalfunction.Allowthebatterytodryorwipeitdry
beforeplacingitbackintothetrimmer.
Usingthetrimmertocutthickgrassintemperaturesabove32°C
(90°F)mayreducetheruntime.Decreasethemotorspeedto
helpincreasetheoperatingtime;referto(StartingtheTrimmer
(page8).
Failingtocleardebrisfromthetrimmerheadventsandshaftmay
resultinreducedruntime.Thetrimmermayalsostopworking
whenitisoverheatedtopreventdamagetothetrimmer.Clear
debrisfromtheairventsonthemotorhousingandshaftandallow
thetrimmertocoolbeforeattemptingtousethetrimmeragain.
