Getting playback started
1. Power ON / OFF
POWER ON
Press Play / Pause to switch on the power; the MP3 Music Player logo will be
displayed on the LCD.
POWER OFF
Press and hold Stop over 5 seconds to power off until the graphic disappear.
Caution: Dont remove the battery while the player is Power On, it will damage the
firmware & the Player.
2. Playing Start
Press Play/Pause button once, it will play the track. The TOC (Table of Content) will be
shown on LCD.

3. Fast Tracking
While the track is being played, press and hold PREV or NEXT for fast-forward or
backward the track.
4. Skip / Return Tracking
· Press Next to skip forward to the next track.
· Press Prev to skip backward to the previous track.
5. Digital Volume Control
To adjust the volume, press volume + to increase the volume or press volume - to
decrease the volume.
6. Pausing playback
· While the track is being played, press "PLAY / PAUSE" for pausing the playback
· Press "PLAY / PAUSE" button again to start playback
7. Stopping playback
· Press "STOP" button for stopping the playback
· It will be Power Off if press "STOP" button over 5 seconds
8. Hold Function
· Push HOLD button to key lock.

9. Low Battery Indicator
Indicates high battery level.
Indicates medium battery level.
Indicates low battery level.
Indicates that the battery level is empty and the player needs to
replace a new battery.
Getting voice recording started
Recording
· Press MENU for 3 seconds
· The player will enter the Record Mode
· It will record the voice automatically after entering the Record Mode
· Press Stop for stop recording
CAUTION: when the recording function cannot proceed, please check the memory
status. If the memory is fully occupied, the recording function cannot be worked.

Operating the FM radio
1. Enter to the FM Radio mode
· While playing in Music Mode, press MENU and select the FM Radio icon with
Next or Prev
· Press MENU to enter the Radio Mode.
* Please make sure that the earphone is connected to the MP3 Player it is because the earphone
wire is the antenna of FM radio.
2. Auto Scanning the whole FM band.
· While in "Radio Mode" and press "MENU".
· The sign of "Autoscan" will show on the LCD display.
· Press "PREV" or "NEXT" for auto scanning
· First 20 FM station detected will be stored in the preset memory
3. How to save desired FM band in Memory Channel
· While in Radio Mode, press "PREV" or "NEXT" button for selecting the channel
· Press "PLAY / PAUSE" button, the signal of "Save Ch" will be shown on the
LCD display
· Adjust the channel position by passing "NEXT" and "PREV"
· Save the Frequency into the memory channel by press "PLAY / PAUSE"

4. How to listen desired FM band fron Memory channel
· While in Radio Mode, press "MENU" for "Preset ch"
· Press "NEXT" and "PREV" for the desired FM band for listening.
5. FM Recording
· In "Radio Mode", hold the "MENU" button for 3 seconds until "FM Record" icon
is shown on the LCD display -The file name "ENCO " will be shown on the
display
· The player will enter the "FM Recording Mode" and it will start recording automatically -
Press " STOP" button for stopping the recording
6. Playback the recorded file
· Press "MENU" button for 3 times and the sign of "Playmode" will be shown on the LCD display
· Press "PLAY/ PAUSE" button for confirming the selection
· The player will back to the "Music Mode"
· Select the saved FM file with "PREV" or "NEXT"
· Press "PLAY/ PAUSE" for playback the saved FM file

7. Return to the Music Mode
· Press "MENU" button over 3 seconds for returning the "Music Mode"
CAUTION: Please note that the better receiving audio will have better effect when saved FM
band in the memory channel
REMARK: FM radio receiving quality will be affected by the location. Make sure the
location can be received FM broadcast signal.

Voice recording and encoding setting
You can record the message by the built-in microphone. This player also includes
MP3 encoding function.
1. Recor d Sour c i n g S e t t ing
· Press "MENU" and select "RECORD SETTING" with "PREV" or "NEXT"
· Press "MENU" button again
· Select" Record Source" with "PREV" or "NEXT" then press "MENU" button for
· confirming the selection
· Select "Mic" by recording the voice
· Select "Line-in" to encode the audio signal to MP3 format
There are two functions that bring convenience to the user. User can record or encode
the voice easy by these two functions. (Please refer below).
2. S tar t R eco r d i n g
· Press "MENU" for 3 seconds after selecting the record source (MIC or Line In).
·
The player will record automatically.
· Press "PLAY/PAUSE" for stopping recording.
· And press "PLAY/PAUSE" again for starting the recording.
· Press "STOP" for finishing recording and the player will switch back to "Music Mode"
automatically

3. MP3 Encoding
· After select "LINE-IN" and connect with external audio source by connecting cable
(included in accessories)
· Press and hold "MENU" button for 3 seconds and switch on the external audio source
· The player will record automatically.
· Press "STOP" for finishing recording.

Adjusting menu mode
1. Entry MENU Mode
· Press MENU to enter MENU mode.
· Press NEXT and PREV to select the required mode.
· Press MENU to confirm the selected mode.
2. Folder
· If the file saved by folder format in the player, press "MENU" for entering
· Two folders <Cur-dir>(CURRENT DIRECTORY) and <Up-dir>(UP- DIRECTORY)
will be shown after entering the folder
· Select the folder <Cur-dir> and press "MENU" for returning the previous title
· Press "NEXT" and "PREV" button for selecting the file or MP3
· Press "MENU" button and select the option of "Play/ Erase / Erase AH" by "PREV" or
NEXT.
· Press "MENU" for confirming the selection

2. System setting
a. CONTRAST
· Press "MENU" button and select "System Setting" by "PREV" or "NEXT"
· Press "MENU" for confirming the selection
· Press "MENU" again after show the icon " Contrast"
· Press "PREV" or "NEXT" for increasing or decreasing the contrast
· Press "MENU" for confirming
· The player will back to the "Music Mode" automatically
b. LCD B/L time
· Select "LCD B/L time" by pressing "PREV" or NEXT button
· Press "MENU" for confirming the selection
· Press "PREV" or "NEXT" button for choosing the LCD Backlight time
· It have 5 options to chose, "5 sec", "10 sec", "15 sec", "20 sec", "Off

· Press "MENU" for confirming the selection
c. ID3 Language

CAUTION: The information of ID3 and the playing file should be matched.
Otherwise, the player cannot show the correct language information
d. FM sleep time
· Select "FM Sleep" by pressing "PREV" or "NEXT: button
· Press "PREV" or "NEXT" for setting the time
· It have 5 options to chose, "30 min", "60 min", "90 min", "120 min" and "Off

· Press "MENU" for confirming the selection
e. Upgrade
· It is utility for updating firmware of the player if the player stops responding
or not functioning.
· Please follow the step of software installation for upgrading the firmware.
f. Return
Caution: ALL data in the flash memory will be erased after upgrading the firmware. Please
back up your data before upgrading the firmware

Software installation
· Switch on the computer
· Connect the player and the computer with the USB cable
· Insert the Installation CD (include in accessories)
· Enter the title of "MP3 EXPIR
)
· If the windows is 98SE/ME/XP, open "INSTALL 98MEXP" file
· If the windows is 2000, select" INSTALL 2000" and double click
