safely. Here is how to use the instruc-
tions:
Read
these instructions fully before
operating the tool. Pay special
attention to the safety information.
If you notice transport damage while
unpacking, notify your supplier
immediately. Do not operate the
tool!
These instructions are intended for
individuals having a basic technical
knowledge in the handling of tools
like the one described herein. If you
have no experience whatsoever with
such tool, we strongly recommend
to seek the advise of experienced
individuals.
Keep all
documents supplied with
this tool for future reference. Also,
retain proof of purchase in case of a
warranty claim.
This tool must not be sold or lent to
someone else without being accom-
panied by these operating instruc-
tions and all other documents sup-
plied with the tool.

3.1 Specified Conditions of
Use
This air tool is intended for the following
applications: chiselling in masonry and
stone, cutting sheet metal, striking off
seized rivets or bolts, bursting seized
nuts, starting bolts.
This air tool shall only be used with chis-
els suitable for use in air tools (see
Techni
cal specifications for shank diam-
eter).
This air tool shall only be driven by an air
compressor. The max. permissible work-
ing pressure stated in the Technical
Spe
cifications must not be exceeded.
This air tool must not be operated using
explosive, combustible gases or gases
detrimental to health.
Any other use is not as specified. Use
n
ot as specified, alteration of the device,
or use of parts not approved by the
equipment manufacturer can cause
unforeseeable damage!
3.2 General safety instruc-
tions
When using this air tool follow the
safety instructions given below, to
exclude the risk of personal injury or
material damage.
Please also observe the special
safety instructions in the respective
chapters.
Observe the statuary accident insur-
ance institution regulations and reg-
ulations for the prevention of acci-
dents pertaining to the operation of
air compressors and
air tools, where
applicable.
This air tool shall only be used by
persons having read and under-
stood these instructions, and who
are aw
are of the dangers associated
with the use of such tool. Persons
under the age of 18 shall use this air
tool only in the course of their voca-
tional training, under supervision of
an instructor.

General hazards!
Keep
your work area tidy – a messy
work area invites accidents.
Be al
ert. Do not operate this tool
while under the influence of drugs,
alcohol or medication.
Keep children and bystanders away
from the work area.
Store air tools out of the reach of
children.
Always use a quick coupler to con-
nect this air tool to a compressor.
Do no
t work materials detrimental to
health.
Working with this tool may generate
sparks. Do not use the tool near
flammable materials, liquids or
gases.
Do no
t touch the chisel while the
tool is operating.
Disconn
ect this tool from air supply
before
changing chisels,
servicing
or
when
tool is left unattended.

s are tansmitted to the
entire body, particularly to arms and
hands. Very heavy vitrations may
cause nerve and vascular disorder.

Caution!
Pro
tect the tool, air inlet and operat-
ing elements in particular, from dust
and dirt.
Make sure that the max. permissible
working pressure stated in the Tech-
nical Specifications is not exceed
ed.
The working pressure must be
adjusted by a pressure regulator.

4.1 Before initial operation
Install the plug nipple.
4.2 Inserting a chisel
1. Choose a suitable chisel (9).
2. Turn quick change chuck (10) on the
chipping hammer.
3. Insert chisel into the quick change
chuck.
Removing a chisel
Pu
ll the clamping ring of the quick
change chuck (10) back and pull the
chisel out.
4.3 Compressed air supply
A
Caution!
To the service life of this tool it
must be supplied with a sufficient
amount of pneumatic oil. This can be
achieved:
By means of a service unit at the
compressor.
B
y means of a line oiler, fitted in
the air line or directly to the air
tool.
By giving 3 - 5 drops of pneu-
matic oil manually per 15 minutes

f operation (continuous duty)
into the air inlet.
1. Set the working pressure at the
compressor (refer to the technical
specifications for max. permissible
working pressure).
2. Connect air hose (quick coupler) to
the compr
essor.
4.4 Chiselling

2. To start: pull the trigger.

Repair and maintenance work other
than described in this section must
be carried out by qualified specialists
only.

heck all screwed connections for
tightness, tighten if necessary.
W
hen the tool is not lubricated by a
service unit or line oiler, manually
add 3 - 5 drops of pneumatic oil for
every 15 minutes of operation (con-
tinuous operation) into the air inlet.

o not store tool unprotected out-
doors or in humid environment.
