7. Notes on Rechargeable Batteries
• Keeprechargeablebatteriesoutofreachofchildren.
• Donotleavebatterieslyingaroundopenly;thereisariskofthembeingswallowedby
children or pets. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
• Leakingordamagedbatteries/rechargeablebatteriescancausechemicalburnsto
skin when touched without the use of adequate protective gloves.
• Liquidsleakingfromrechargeablebatteriesarechemicallyhighlyaggressive.Objects
or surfaces that come into contact with them may take severe damage. Therefore,
keep rechargeable batteries in a suitable location.
• Makesurethatrechargeablebatteriesarenotshort-circuited,dismantledorthrown
into fire. There is a danger of explosion!
• Observecorrectpolaritywhenconnectingrechargeablebatteries.
• Useonlytheenclosedrechargeablebatteriesoraccessoryrechargeablebatteriesof
thesamebuildtosupplytheGX111withpower.
• Ifnotusingitforanextendedperiodoftime(e.g.duringstorage),removetherechar-
geablebatteryinsertedintotheGX111;thereisthedangerofdeepdischarge,which
would render the rechargeable battery permanently useless.
• Adamagedrechargeablebatterymustnolongerbeused.Disposeofitinanenviron-
mentally compatible manner.
