1. MAINTENANCE CHECKS AND UPDATES
1.1 Cooling liquid chec k
Phenom enon
Projector can overheat and to protect itself, it can switch off the lamps.
Cause
After a long time, during the operation of the projector, small particles of t
he cooling liquid
can evaporate and air is coming into its place. These air bubbles and the reduction of the
amount of cooling liquid reduce the cooling capability of the circuit.
Solution
We advise to check the cooling liquid level on a regular base and refill when necessary.
Check at least once every 3 months.

Open the top cover and look to the cooling liquid reservoir. When the marker line is in the
service area then a refill is necessary.
You can easily refill or add liquid to
the system f ollowing the procedure included in the refill
kit. It only takes a few minutes and ensures your shows will continue to run smoothly.

1.2 Air flow check
Phenom enon
Projector can overheat and stops running.
Cause
The air inlet on top of the projector and on the front of the projector are blocked.
Solution
The air filters cannot be cleaned. Replace the air filters on a regular time with new filters.
Consult the projector’s user guide for more information on how to replace the filters.

1.3 Lamp info cables check and replacement
Phenom enon
The latest CLM s oftware update - version 1.7.11 - features an additional lamp status mon-
itor function. Hence, to complete this update successfully, you need to install a new type
of lamp info ca ble.
Scoop
All projectors shipped before June 2008 must be checked and updated if necessary before
updating the software.
Solution
To check the lamp info cables, o pen the lamp door.
The old lamp info c ables are FLAT (white or white with black heat shrink). The new lamp
info cables are ROUND.
If it is necessary to change the cables, order the new cables in a free of charge kit w ith
order number Z3472031K and following the instructions inside the kit.
1.4 Anode wires lamp

How to check
Placethelamponitsbacksideonatableanlooktotheanodewire.
If the top side of the anode wire is horizontal then the lamp is correctly aligned. In all other
cases a realignment of the wire is necessary.

How to correct
1. Degrease a plier or a pair of tweezers with alcohol.
2. Place you tool on the wire and turn it until the wire is horizontal.
