working properly. Get fresh air at once! Have the replace
serviced.

ofalcohol,andthoseathighaltitude.

replace can cause serious injury or death from

vermiculite, or rock wool. Using these added items can
causesootbuild-up.

tosmoke,turnoffreplaceandcallaqualiedservice
person.
7. Avoid any drafts that alter burner ame patterns. Do not
allowfanstoblowdirectlyintothereplace.Donotplace
ablowerinsideburnareaoftherebox.Ceilingfansmay
createdraftsthatalterburneramepatterns.Sootbuild-up
andimproperburningwilloccur.Sootbuild-upcansettleon
householdsurfacesoutsidethereplace.
8. Thisreplaceneedsfreshairventilationtorunproperly.

oxygendepletionsensor(ODS)pilotlightsafetysystem.

11. Neverplaceanyobjectsinthereplaceoronlogs.
12. Fireplacescreensmustbeprovidedandaretobeclosed
beforeoperatingthedecorativeroomheater.Ifdoorsare
installed, they must be open during operation. Fireplace
frontandscreenbecomeveryhotwhenrunningreplace.
Keepchildrenandadultsawayfromhotsurfacestoavoid
burns or clothing ignition. The replace will remain hot
for atime after shut down.Allow surfaces to coolbefore
touching.
13. Carefullysuperviseyoungchildrenwhentheyareinthe
roomwiththereplace.
14. Do not use replace if any part has been exposed to or
underwater.Immediatelycallaqualiedservicetechnician
toinspectthereplaceandtoreplaceanypartofthecontrol
systemandgascontrolwhichhasbeenunderwater.
15. Do not operatethe replace if any log is broken.Do not
operate the replace if a log is chipped (dime-sized or
larger). Verify proper log placement prior to operating
appliance.
16. Turn replace off and let cool before servicing. Only a
qualied service person should service and repair the
replace.
17. Operatingthereplaceaboveelevationsof4,500feet
maycausepilotoutage.
