1. Do not install the unit in humid, dusty, or sooty locations. Failure to do so may result in fire or
electric shock.
2. If any unusual smells or smoke come from the unit, stop operation. In this case, immediately
disconnect the power source. Continued use in this condition could cause a fire or electric shock.
3. When a fault is detected in the product, contact your nearest service center. Never disassemble
the product and do not modify its structure. (RVi Company is not responsible for any problems
resulting from changes in product design or as a result of attempted repair products).
4. When cleaning the product, do not expose into the body fluids. This may be a reson of a fire or
electric shock.
Be careful
1. Do not drop any objects on the product and blows to it. Do not install the product in places
with excessive vibration or magnetic interference.
2. Do not install the product in places with high (above 50 ° C) or low (below -40 ° C)
temperatures or high humidity. This can cause a fire or electric shock.
3. If you want to relocate the already installed product to a new location, then before you do so,
turn off the power.
4. During a thunderstorm, it is recommended to disconnect the power supply plug from the AC

5. Install the product so that the lens is not in direct sunlight and not there heat radiation sources.
7. Do not install the product in front of bright light sources (the sun, welding equipment,
floodlights), as this may cause damage to the light-sensitive sensor imaging.

2. Appointment
IP-camera RVi-IPC42Z12 is designed for broadcast video information to equipment placed on
security office and another storage/preview device.
The basis of the IP camera is the photo detector matrix, the principle of which is based on the
photoelectric conversion sequentially reading the accumulated charges and their subsequent
transfer to the digitizing device / image compression with subsequent broadcast video over data
networks.
The camera has housing with IP66 protection and is designed for outdoor installation.

6. Getting Started
Installation and Setup
Follow the steps described below (see. Fig. 3):

After mounting the camera on a surface to adjust the angle of the camera (see. Fig. 4), and then
tighten the screw on the camera bracket.

7. Reset to factory settings
Factory reset by the button located inside the housing of the IPC. Hold the RESET button about
5 seconds, then the camera will reboot.
8. Quick configuration software
Quick configuration software is used to detect the current IP address of the network camera on
the network changes its IP address, but also be used to update the camera firmware. CAUTION!
Some features may be available only on the condition that the IP-camera and a computer that is
running the program on the same subnet.
Run (shortcut "ConfigTool.exe"). The software interface is shown in Figure 5. In the list of
devices (Device list) you can see the IP-address of the devices, the port number, subnet mask,
gateway, the MAC address of the device.

Selecting one of the IP-addresses in the device list, click on it, right-click, and then open the
context menu, shown in Figure 6

Selecting "Open Device Web", you will find yourself in Web-based interface of the device where
you will be prompted to log in to access the network device. *
If you want to change the IP-address of the camera without entering the Web-based interface,
you must go to the menu list of devices quick configuration utility. In the menu, the list of
devices (Fig. 6) to select IP-address of the camera, and then double-click to open the interface
"Login" or choose IP-address in the device list and click the "Login" (Fig. 7). Figure 7 displays
the window "Login" which displays the IP-address, user name, password, and port number. Each
parameter can be changed.
Note: The port number must match the TCP port number of the camera installed in the WEB
interface. If the camera is updated in the background, to access it using port 3800, other ports are
not available.

In this menu you can configure IP address, date / time, update the firmware.
9. Access to the Web interface of the device
IPC maintains control through a Web interface and through the software on the PC. WEB-
interface allows you to view the camera settings and implement IP-cameras. For network
connection IP-cameras, do the following: - make sure that the IP-camera is physically connected
to the network. - Set the IP-address, subnet mask and gateway of one network for PC and IP-
cameras. In IP-cameras standard address 192.168.1.108, a network mask 255.255.255.0, gateway
192.168.1.1. - To test the connection from the command line, run the command ping
192.168.1.108 (see. Fig. 9)

Open Internet Explorer and enter the IP-address of the camera in the address bar of your browser.
For example, if the IP-cameras address 192.168.1.108, enter http://192.168.1.108 in the address
bar of Internet Explorer.
When you enter the WEB interface you will withdraw the following - Figure 10. Enter your
username and password. The default username and password admin.

Note: For security reasons, urge to change the username and password when you first log in
WEB interface.

When you first time connect to the WEB interface, the system message with a proposal to install
a component. Click on the OK button, the operating system will automatically install the
components. If you are unable to automatically install the file ActiveX, check your browser
settings (Tools - Internet Options - Security - Custom Level..).
After a successful login you will be taken to the main window WEB interface.
10. Transport and storage
IPC in transport containers are transported by any kind of covered vehicles (railcars, closed type
holds and compartments of ships, aircraft pressurized heated compartments, etc.) in accordance
with applicable regulations.
11. Disposal
IPC does not pose no danger to human life and health, as well as to the environment after the end
of its life. Disposal of IPC is carried out without taking special measures to protect the
environment.
12. Manufacturer's warranty
The manufacturer guarantees compliance with IPC technical requirements, subject to
terms of transportation, storage, installation and operation.
Warranty period - 36 months from the date of sale.
In the absence of a mark on the date of sale warranty period is calculated from the date
of manufacture

The warranty is invalid if the cause of the malfunction IPC are:
vandalism;
fire, flood, natural disasters;
accident in the power supply;
electrical breakdown chip electronic board due to an error in the polarity of the power.
Warranty valid only upon presentation of this manual.
The manufacturer is not responsible and does not cover damage caused by the defects caused by
the fault of the consumer-compliance with the rules of operation and installation.
