1. Disconnectplanerfrompowersourcebeforeperforminganyoftheseadjustments.
2. Confirmthattheknivesareproperlysetwithinthecutterheadusingthefactoryknife
settingjig.
3. Adjustdepthofcutsothatthecutterheadisapproximately4"abovethetable.
4. InserttheflatpointscrewtipintotheRotacator
®
.
1. Rotatedialindicatorto“Up-reading”position(seeFigure1).
2. Placethedialindicatorbetweenthebedandcutterheadatoneendofthecutterhead
3. Graduallyreducethedepthofcutuntilthedialindicator’splungerisslightlydepressed
byoneoftheknives.Makesurethattheknifeisatthelowestpointofitscuttingarc.
4. Notethereadingonthedialindicatorface.
5. Removethedialindicatorandplaceitinthesamepositionattheoppositeendofthe
knife.Readthedialindicatoragain.Ifthereadingisnotequaltothefirstone,adjust
onesideoftheplanerbeduntilthereadingsarethesameatbothendsoftheknife
.
1. Rotatethedialindicatortothe“Down-reading”position(seeFigure2).
2. Placethedialindicatoronthesurfaceoftheplanerbed.
3. Loosenthesetscrewofthedialindicator,thenrotatethefacedialuntilthezerois
alignedwiththepointer.Tightenthesetscrew.
4. Placethedialindicatoronthesurfaceoftheplanerbedsotheplungeristouchingthe
highpointofoneendofthebedroller.
5. Adjusttheroller’sheightabovetheplanerbedtothespecificationsinyourplaner
instructionmanual.
6. Repeatsteps4and5attheoppositeendofthesameroller.
7. Repeatsteps4,5and6fortheotherbedroller.
1. Consultyourplanerinstructionmanualtodeterminetheproperrelationshipofthe
infeedandoutfeedrollersandchipbreakertotheknivesorcutterhead.Adjustas
neededpertheinstructionmanual.
