1. Check that OK appears clearly on the indicator light (see
diagram).
2. Iftheword“OK”doesnotappearitmeansthatthetemperature
istoohigh:adjusttheREFRIGERATOROPERATIONknobtoa
higherposition(colder)andwaitapproximately10hoursuntil
thetemperaturehasbeenstabilised.
3. Checktheindicatorlightagain:ifnecessary,readjustitfollowing
theinitialprocess.Iflargequantitiesoffoodhavebeenadded
oriftherefrigeratordoorhasbeenopened frequently, it is
normalfortheindicatornottoshowOK.Waitatleast10hours
beforeadjustingtheREFRIGERATOROPERATIONknobtoa
higher setting.

When
positionedinthe“lower”partofthefridgecompartment,itisideal
formeatandfish;whenmovedtothe“top”partofthefridge,it
isperfectforcheese.
Itcanbetakenoutofthefridgewhenitis
not needed.
Using the freezer to its full potential
• UsetheFREEZEROPERATIONknobtoadjustthetemperature
(see Description).
• Donotre-freezefoodthatisdefrostingorthathasalreadybeen
defrosted. These foods must be cooked and eaten (within 24
hours).
• Freshfoodthatneedstobefrozenmustnotcomeintocontact
withfoodthathasalreadybeendefrosted.Freshfoodmust
bestoredinthetopFREEZERandSTORAGEcompartment
wherethetemperaturedropsbelow -18°C and guarantees
rapidfreezing.
• Tofreeze fresh food in the best and safestway possible,
activatetheSUPERFREEZEfunction24hoursbeforeplacing
thefoodinthefreezer.Afterplacingthefoodinside,activate
theSUPERFREEZE function again; it will be deactivated
automatically after 24 hours.
• Donotplaceglassbottleswhichcontainliquids,andwhich
arecorkedorhermeticallysealedinthefreezerbecausethey
could break.
• The maximumquantity of food that may befrozen daily is
indicated on the plate containing the technical properties
locatedonthebottomleftsideoftherefrigeratorcompartment
(forexample:Kg/24h:4).
! To avoid blocking the air circulation inside the freezer
compartment,itisadvisablenottoobstructtheventilationholes
with food or containers.
!Donotopenthedoorduringfreezing.
!Ifthereisapowercutormalfunction,donotopenthefreezer
door.Thiswillhelpmaintainthetemperatureinsidethefreezer,
ensuringthatfoodsareconservedforatleast9-14hours.
! To maximise space inside the freezer,all drawers [with the
exceptionofthe bottom drawer] can be removed fromtheir
positionsandthefoodplaceddirectlyontheracks/glassshelves
supplied[wherepresent].

Thefactthattheyaresituatedonthetoppartofthefreezerdrawers
ensuresgreatercleanliness:theicenolongercomesintocontact
withthefoodplacedinsidethefreezercompartment;furthermore,
thedrippingofthewaterduringfillingisavoided(alidtocover
uptheholeafterfillingwithwaterisalsoprovided).
1. Pulloutthetraybypushingitup.Checkthatthetrayisompletely
emptyandfillitwithwaterthroughtheopeningprovided.
2. Takecarenottoexceedthelevelindicated(MAXWATERLEVEL).
Excesswaterprevents the ice cubes from dispensing (ifthis
happens,waitfortheicetomeltandemptythetray).
3. Turnthetray90°:duetotheconnectedcompartmentseachmould
fills with water (see diagram).
4. Closetheopeningwiththelidprovidedandputthetrayback,
placingthetoppartinthecorrespondinghousingandallowing
ittodropinagain.
5. Whentheicehasformed(minimumtimeapproximately8hours)
knock the tray against a hard surface and wet the outside so that
theicecubescomelooseandtakethemoutthroughtheopening.

Switching the appliance off
Duringcleaningandmaintenanceitisnecessarytodisconnect
theappliancefromtheelectricitysupply:

2. pulltheplugoutofthesocket
!Ifthisprocedureisnotfollowed,thealarmmaysound.
This alarm does not indicate a malfunction. To restore normal
operation,itissufficienttosettheFREEZER OPERATION knob
onthedesiredvalue.Todisconnecttheappliance,followpoint
1 and 2.
Cleaning the appliance
• Theexternalandinternalparts,aswellastherubbersealsmay
becleanedusingaspongethathasbeensoakedinlukewarm
waterandbicarbonateofsodaorneutralsoap.Donotuse
solvents,abrasiveproducts,bleachorammonia.
• Theremovableaccessoriesmaybesoakedinwarmwaterand
soapordishwashingliquid.Rinseanddrythemcarefully.
• Theback of the appliance may collect dust whichcan be
removed by delicately using the hose of a vacuum cleaner set
onmediumpower.Theappliancemustbeswitchedoffand
theplugmustbepulledoutbeforecleaningtheappliance.
Avoiding mould and unpleasant odours
• Theapplianceismanufacturedwithhygienicmaterialswhich
areodourfree.Inordertomaintainanodourfreerefrigerator
andtopreventtheformationofstains,foodmustalwaysbe
coveredorsealedproperly.
• Ifyouwanttoswitchtheapplianceoffforanextendedperiod
oftime,cleantheinsideandleavethedoorsopen.
