Safety instructions
This section contains important safety instructions for using the appliance.
This appliance complies with statutory safety regulations. Improper use may
result in personal injury and property damage.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions
should always be followed, including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE!
2. To protect against electrical shock do not immerse cord, plugs
or the appliance motor unit in water or other liquid. If any
liquid gets into the housing, disconnect the appliance from the
power socket immediately and have it repaired by a qualified
technician.
3. Unplug the appliance from outlet in the event of a malfunction,
when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and
before cleaning. Always pull on the plug to disconnect the
appliance from the outlet; never pull on the power cord itself.
4. Do not expose the appliance to moisture and do not use it
outdoors. Indoor use only!
5. This appliance may be used by persons with limited physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge, provided that they are under supervision or have
been told how to use the appliance safely and are aware of
the potential risks.
6. This appliance should not be used by children and care
should be taken when used near children.
7. The appliance and its connecting cord must be kept away
from children.
8. Only plug the power plug into an easily accessible power
socket so that you can pull it out of the power socket quickly
in an emergency.

9. Do not kink or crush the power cord, and route the cord so
that it cannot be stepped on or tripped over.
10. Do not let the cord hang over edge of table or counter.
Do not let the cord touch hot surfaces, including the stove.
11. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord
or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been
dropped or damaged in any manner. Return the appliance
to the nearest authorized service provider for examination,
repair or electrical/mechanical adjustment.
12. Do not attempt to open the motor unit housing. This can
lead to safety risks and also invalidates the warranty.
13. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the
appliance manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock, or
injury to persons.
14. The blade is extremely sharp! Handle it with great care at
all times. There is a risk of injury!
Be very careful when cleaning the appliance and, in
particular, the blender.
Never insert your hand or fingers into the rotating blade.
Never insert objects into the rotating blade.
Keep clothes and long hair away from the rotating blade.
Wait until the blade has stopped rotating before removing
the blender from the motor unit.

15. When mixing liquids, especially hot liquids, use a tall contain-
er or make small quantities at a time to reduce spillage.

Important cord information
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the
other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, there is only one way
this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet. If the plug does
not completely fit into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not
fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the
plug in any way.
Proper use
This appliance is intended exclusively for chopping and pureeing
food. It is intended exclusively for use in domestic households.
The appliance is not intended for commercial use.
The appliance is not suitable for chopping very hard food products,
such as frozen foods or nuts.
Use the appliance only for its intended purpose.
Observe the procedures described in these operating
instructions.
Claims of any kind for damage resulting from improper use,
incompetent repairs, unauthorized modifications, or the use of
non-approved spare parts will not be accepted. The risk shall
be borne solely by the user.

Packaging materials are not children’s toys. Therefore, children
must not be allowed to play with them. Risk of suffocation!
Remove all parts of the appliance and the operating instructions
from the box.
Remove all packaging material.
Clean all parts of the appliance as described in the "Cleaning"
section.
Check the package for completeness and signs of visible
damage. If the delivery is incomplete or damage has occurred
as a result of defective packaging or during transport, contact
the customer service hotline (see section about "3 year limited
warranty").

Assembly
Do not insert the plug into the power socket until the appliance
is fully assembled.
The blade 5 is extremely sharp! Handle it with great care at
all times.
Before first use, clean all parts as described in the "Cleaning"
section.
Place the blender 4 onto the motor unit 3 so that the arrow p
points at the symbol. Rotate the blender 4 towards the
symbol until it clicks into place.
Operation
You can use the blender 4 to make sauces, soups or dips.
We recommend that you operate the hand blender for max.
1 minute at any one time and then let it cool off for about
1 minute.
The foods being processed must not be too hot! Splashing
contents could scald the user.
Do not attempt to process hard foods with the appliance.
This will cause irreparable damage to the appliance!
Once you have assembled the appliance:
Insert the power plug into the power socket.
Slide the blender 4 vertically into the food you wish to puree.
Hold the switch 1 to process food at a normal speed.
Hold the TURBO switch 2 to process food at a high speed.

Use normal speed for soft food and turbo speed for firmer
food.
Once you are done processing, simply release the pressed
speed control button 1/2. Remove the blender 4 as soon
as the blade 5 stops rotating.
Cleaning
Always unplug the appliance before cleaning it.
You must never immerse the motor unit 4 in water during
cleaning or hold it under running water.
The blade 5 is extremely sharp! Handle it with great care at
all times.
Do not use aggressive, chemical or abrasive cleaning agents!
They could irreparably damage the surface!
We recommend that you clean the appliance immediately
after using it to prevent food residue from drying and
becoming stuck.
Remove the plug from the outlet.
Remove the blender 4 from the motor unit 3. To do this,
rotate the blender 4 toward the symbol and pull it off.
Clean the motor unit 3 with a damp cloth. Ensure that water
does not enter the openings of the motor unit 3. For stubborn
dirt, add a small amount of mild detergent to the cloth.

Wipe off any detergent residue with a damp cloth.
Thoroughly clean the blender 4 in soapy water, then rinse off
the soap with clear water.
You can also clean the blender 4 in the dishwasher.
Dry everything thoroughly and ensure that the appliance is
completely dry before using it again.
Storage
Clean the appliance as described in the "Cleaning" section.
Store the cleaned appliance in a clean, dust-free, and dry
location.

Disposal
Disposal of the appliance
Electrical appliances may not be thrown away as part of normal
household trash. If you can no longer use your electrical appliance,
dispose of it in accordance with the legal provisions applicable
in your state. This will ensure that old electrical appliances are
recycled and environmental pollution is kept to a minimum.
Additional information about disposal is available on the Internet
at www.epa.gov.
Disposal of the packaging
The packaging is made of environmentally friendly materials that
can be disposed of at your local recycling center.
Dispose of the packaging in an environmentally friendly manner.
Note the marking on the different packaging materials and
separate them as necessary. The packaging materials are marked
with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with the following
meanings: 1–7: Plastics, 20–22: Paper and cardboard,
80–98: Composites

3 year limited warranty
What does this warranty cover?
The warranty covers:
Damage, breakage or inoperability due to defect.
Damage not caused by normal wear and tear or failure to follow
the safety and maintenance instructions provided in the user
manual.
What is not covered by the warranty?
The warranty does not cover damage caused by:
Normal wear and tear of the product, including fragile parts
(such as switches, glass, etc.);
Improper use or transport;
Disregarding safety and maintenance instructions;
Accidents or acts of nature (e.g. lightning, fire, water, etc.);
Tampering with the product (such as removing cover, unscrewing
screws etc.)
Consequential and incidental damages are also not covered under
this warranty. However, some states do not allow the exclusion or
limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation
or exclusion may not apply to you.
What is the period of coverage and warranty resolu-
tion?
The warranty is for 3 years from the date of purchase.
At our discretion, product will either be refunded or replaced.
What will we not do?
