ThedetectorsupportstheautoinclusionfeaturewhereitwillautomaticallyenterInclusionmodewhenrstpoweredup.
1.PutaZ-Wavecontrollerintoinclusionmode.
2.Removethestripofbatteryprotectionlmstickingoutfromthebatterycoveronthefrontofthecasing.TheLEDon
thedeviceshouldturnON.
3.EnterPINnumberintotheZ-Wavecontroller.ThePINnumbercanbefoundonthedevice.Seewhereintheinstallation
guide.
4.TheinclusionprocessshouldbecompletedwhentheLEDstopsblinking.
5.Performtestbeforeyouretthebatterycover.SeeHowtotesttheZ-WaveDevice.

Removethebatterycoverwiththetamperswitchnotbeingpressedonthedetector(testmode)
Separatethemagnetfromthedetector.Thedetectorshouldthenash.
Putthebatterycoverbackonthedetector,andthedetectorwillenternormalmode.
Note
Ifyouhaveremovedthebatteries,wait5secondsbeforeyouretthem.
Operationalguidelines
Duetothelimitedpowersuppliedfromthebatteries,thedevicemaynotoperatecontinuouslyforanextendedperiodof
time.Therefore,thesetuptimefordeviceshouldbeminimized,andrepeatedpressesofthetamperswitchshouldbe
avoided,inordertopreventincidentscausedbyaquickbatteryvoltagedrop.
Youcanentertestmodebyreleasingthetamperswitch.Ifthemagneticsensoristriggeredduringthattime,thentheLED
willbeilluminated.Youcanconrmwhetherthetamperswitchhasbeenpressedproperlybytestingthisfunction.
Whenthetamperswitchhasbeenpressedandthedevicehasenterednormalmode,theLEDwillnotbeilluminatedeven
ifthemagneticsensoristriggered,unlesslowbatteryisdetected.

Z-WaveGroup
ThedetectorsupportseitheroneoftwoZ-WaveAssociationGroups:
Group1:Associationwith1controllernode.
Group2:Associationwith4nodes(i.e.enddevicessuchassmartplugsandotherlightingcontrollers).Thisallowsthedetectorto
transfercommandsdirectlytoenddeviceswithouttheparticipationofthecontroller.Thishastheeffectthatwhenthedetector
triggers,alldevicesassociatedwithdetectorwillbeoperated.
Note
Association-groupsupportcanvaryamongZ-WaveControllers.TheAXISM5065supportsZ-WaveAssociationGroup1.
Group1commands:
IfthedevicealreadyisapartofaZ-Wavenetworkwhenpoweredup,thedevicewillsendaNoticationReportto
thenodeinGroup1.
Whensettingupthedeviceorchangingthedevice’sstatus,thedevicewillsendaBinarySwitchReporttothenodeof
Group1.WhenthedeviceisturnedOFF,theSwitchBinaryReportValue=0x00.WhenthedeviceisturnedON,the
SwitchBinaryReportValue=0xFF.
DeviceReset:WhenperformingFactoryReset,thedevicewillsendDeviceResetLocallyNoticationtothenodeofGroup1.
Group2commands:
Whenthebuttononthedeviceispressed,thedevicewillsendaBasicSetcommandtothenodesofGroup2.Whenthe
deviceisOFF,BasicSetValue=0x00.WhentheunitisON,BasicSetValue=0xFF
