Separatethemagnetfromthedetector.Thedetectorshouldthenash.
Putthebatterycoverbackonthedetector,andthedetectorwillenternormalmode.
Note
Ifyouhaveremovedthebatteries,wait5secondsbeforeyouretthem.
Operationalguidelines
Duetothelimitedpowersuppliedfromthebatteries,thedevicemaynotoperatecontinuouslyforanextendedperiodof
time.Therefore,thesetuptimefordeviceshouldbeminimized,andrepeatedpressesofthetamperswitchshouldbe
avoided,inordertopreventincidentscausedbyaquickbatteryvoltagedrop.
Youcanentertestmodebyreleasingthetamperswitch.Ifthemagneticsensoristriggeredduringthattime,thentheLED
willbeilluminated.Youcanconrmwhetherthetamperswitchhasbeenpressedproperlybytestingthisfunction.
Whenthetamperswitchhasbeenpressedandthedevicehasenterednormalmode,theLEDwillnotbeilluminatedeven
ifthemagneticsensoristriggered,unlesslowbatteryisdetected.

ThedetectorsupportseitheroneoftwoZ-WaveAssociationGroups:
Group1:Associationwith1controllernode.
Group2:Associationwith4nodes(i.e.enddevicessuchassmartplugsandotherlightingcontrollers).Thisallowsthedetectorto
transfercommandsdirectlytoenddeviceswithouttheparticipationofthecontroller.Thishastheeffectthatwhenthedetector
triggers,alldevicesassociatedwithdetectorwillbeoperated.
