PRINCIPE DE L’INDUCTION

Les courants, dits “d’induction”, chauffent instantanément le récipient*qui cède
sa chaleur aux aliments qu’il contient.
*Récipient en acier émaillé, fonte, inox adapté à l’induction.
Avec votre table la chaleur nécessaire à la cuisson des aliments étant produite
directement à l’intérieur du récipient, le verre vitrocéramique ne chauffe
pratiquement pas car il reçoit JUSTE la chaleur du récipient posé dessus..

Vous possédez sans doute déjà des récipients adaptés :

Le test ”récipient”
Grâce à sa technologie de pointe votre table à induction est capable de re-
connaître la plupart des récipients.
Poser votre récipient sur une zone de chauffe en puissance 4, si l’afficheur reste
fixe votre récipient est compatible, s’il clignote votre récipient n’est pas utili-
sable pour la cuisson à induction.
Vous pouvez aussi utiliser l’aimant, si celui-ci «accroche» votre casserole : elle est
certainement compatible.

PRINCIPE OF INDUCTION
The so-called “induction currents” instantaneously heat up the container*which
transfers the heat directly to the food inside.
*Enamelled steel containers, cast iron pans, stainless steel adapted for the
induction.
On your hob, the heat is directly generated by the container itself : the
vitroceramic surface does not real warm up, because it gets just the heating
from the pan put on it.

To use a function button…
Place your finger flat onto the required button.
How to switch on a cooking zone ?
Locate the buttons on the control panel corresponding to the cooking zone on
which you have put your pan.
Press on the button .
The power level display shows a twinkling 0
Set the required heat power.
- For rapid ajustment, keep your finger on the button
If you do not set a power after pressing the button, the setting is canceled
automatically 10 seconds after.
To adjust the power during cooking
At any time you can modify the power from positon 1 to position 9 by using the
buttons.
How to switch off a cooking zone ?
Press on the button of the concerned cooking zone.
Simultaneous use of 2 cooking zones located
on the same side.
The 2 zones on each side has a total power of 2800W, which is shared
automatically between the rear cooking zone and the front cooking zone.
The result of this operating of limiting one zone when the other zone operates at
maximum power.
The last setting has always pririority.

Safety
Check periodically the air inlet under the hob, so that there is no risk of obstruction by some object like
cloth, paper, ... (see built- in).
Protection of the ” electronic”
The temperature of the electronic control circuit is constantly monitored by a sensor. If it rises too
quickly, the output of the cooking zones is reduced.
”Empty Pan” safety
A sensor fitted underneath the glass plate of each cooking zone ensures that the temperature of the
cooking zone is continuously monitored, and so there is no risk of overheating by empty container.
Detection of objects or of a container on the cooking zone
An object of small size like : a fork, a spoon or a ring…, lying alone on the hob, in not detected as a
container. The display flashes and no power arrives to the cooking zones.
This safety device operates in the same way when a container, which is not suitable for induction co-
oking is detected.

Controls can be locked:
- Either when turned off (cleaning)
- Or during use (the operations in progress continue and
the settings displayed stay active).
However when in the locked position, the "STOP" touch
control has priority and cuts off the power to the oven.
The display turns off after a few seconds. It can be
reactivated by touching any touch control.
Automatic stop
Automatic stop is a safety function for your hob. It
starts up automatically if ever you forget to turn off
your cooking.
The letter A is displayed for the heating zone
concerned and the hob will bleep for about 2 mi-
nutes. The A will continue to be displayed until any
control of the zone in question is touched. The hob

Precautions for use
The vitroceramic surface is very resistant but is not, however, unbreakable :
avoid impacts from the containers.
Bottoms of utensils that are too rough can retain and transport materials whi-
ch cause stains or lines on the table.
Over the long term, friction from the containers can result in deterioration to
the patterns on the vitroceramic tops : avoid to slide the pans directly on the
plate.
These defects, which do not result in non functioning or an inability to
be used, are not covered by the guarantee.
The hob must not be used as a work surface for anything at all.
Do not store your CLEANING or INFLAMMABLE products in the area located un-
der your cooking table.
When connecting electrical appliances to plugs located nearby, make sure
that the supply cable does not contact the hot areas.

Information
for users with pacemakers
For the attention of wearers of pacemakers
and active implants:
The functioning of the hob is in conformity with current standards on electro-
magnetic interference.
Your induction hob also fully complies with the legal requirements (EC directives
89/336/EEC). It has been designed not to interfere with the operation of other
electrical appliances as long as these comply with the same legislation.
Your induction hob generates magnetic fields in its immediate area.
So that there is no interference between your hob and a pacemaker, the latter must
be designed in conformity with the relevant regulations.
In this respect, we can only guarantee the conformity of our own product.
Insofar as the conformity of the pacemaker or any incompatibility is concerned,
you should consult its manufacturer or your doctor.

Advice for using
Recommendations
Never leave a empty pan or container on a cooking zone.
Centre the container on the cooking zone.
Never heat an unopened tin of food as there is a serious risk of bursting; this
advice applies, of course, to any other kind of cooker.
If you use a non-stick pan (Teflon type), with some grease or without grease,
pre-heat it on maximum power setting 7 or 8 for a short time.
Never set the position 9 : your container risks to be damaged.
It is not recommanded to store metalic kitchen utensils, cutlery, knifes or
similar metalic things on the hob. They could heat up near an operating
kooking zone.
A container with a smaller bottem than the diameter of the cooking zone can
nevertheless be used without energie loss, in opposition to other
traditional cooking appliances (electirical, gas).
Never prepare any food in aluminium foil and never place any food
wrapped in aluminium foil directly on the hob.
The aluminium would melt down and your appliance would be
damaged for ever and ever.
If a crack appears in the glass surface,
deconnect the appliance immediately from the electric power source,
by removing the fuses or actuating the circuit-breaker.
Do not use any part of the hob before a new
ceramic cooking zone has been fitted.

Containers
What are the best suitable containers ?
You have already some containers which certainly are adapted for induction cooking :
ENAMMELLED STEEL PANS (NON-STICL OR NOT )
saucepans, frying pans, meat grill..
CAST IRON PANS .
Choose pans with an enamelled base to avoid scratching the vitro-ceramic surfa-
ce of the hob and move the pans without sliding.
STAINLESS STEEL PANS
suitable for
INDUCTION COOKING.
The most of stainless steel containers can be used on the induction hob (sauce-
pans, frying pans,...)
ALUMINIUM PANS WITH SPECIAL BASE
CHOOSE UTENSILS WITH THICK BASES, WHICH GIVE MORE EVEN COOKING RESULTS. (THE HEAT IS BETTER
DISTRIBUTED).
NOTE : ANY PAN WITH AN UNEVEN BASE
CAN BE USED IF THE DEFORMATION IS NOT TO IMPORTANT
.
Which types of pan are not suitable ?
GLASS, CERAMIC OR EARTHENWARE PANS, ALUMINIUM PANS WITHOUT SPECIAL BASE OR COPPER PANS AND
NON-MAGNETIC STAINLESS STEEL PANS.
The "hob" test
By means of its microprocessor, your induction hob is able to "recognise"
pans suitable for using on it.
Turn a cooking zone on, set it at position 6 and place your pan on this cooking
zone. If the power setting indicator lights on the keypad flash, your pan is not
suitable.
You can also use the magnet : if it “sticks” on the pan, this is suitable for the
induction hob.

Depending on how your kitchen is laid out, you can fit your hob:
Above a cupboard or drawer unit
Above a oven
Your induction hob must always be adequately ventilated.
Make sure that the air inlet through the fan grid at the back is not
obstructed.
If these recommendations are not adhered to, the hob may
overheat, switch into the "safety" position and stop temporarily (

If the cable is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer, his
