 This device is intended for indoor use only.

 Do not expose this device to water or moisture of any kind. Do not place drinks or

the device, immediately unplug it from the power outlet and allow it to fully dry

before reapplying power.

 Do not touch the device, the power cord, or any other connected cables with wet

hands.

 Never unplug the unit by pulling on the power cord. Always grasp the connector

head or adapter body.

 Clean using a soft, dry cloth only. Do not use chemical cleaners, solvents, or

detergents. For stubborn deposits, moisten the cloth with warm water.

 This device has no user serviceable parts. Do not attempt to open, service, or

modify this device.

INTRODUCTION

Thank you for purchasing this Thunderbolt™ 3 Docking Station. It connects to a

Thunderbolt 3-enabled computer or laptop using a USB Type-C connection. It provides five

downstream USB 3.0 Type-A ports, as well as two upstream USB Type-C ports. One of the

USB 3.0 Type-A ports supports the Battery Charging Specification 1.2 for charging mobile

devices, while one of the upstream USB Type-C ports supports the Power Delivery

Specification (PD) revision 2 at 5, 9, 15, or 20 VDC, with up to 60 watts of charging power.

The HDMI® video port supports video resolutions up to 4K@60Hz and the RJ45 port

supports 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet connections. An SD™ 3.0 card reader is

provided, along with a 3.5mm TRRS jack for stereo audio output and microphone input. The

docking station is a true plug and play device with no external drivers required.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Front Panel

1. Power Indicator: The LED illuminates green when power is applied.

2. Link Indicator: The LED illuminates blue when a Thunderbolt 3 embedded device is

connected.

3. SD Card Reader: This SD™ card reader is compatible with the SD 3.0 specification.

4. USB 3.0 Data/Charging Port: This USB 3.0 Type-A port is for connecting USB

compatible devices. It supports the USB Battery Charging (BC) 1.2 standard.

5. USB 3.0 Data Port: This USB 3.0 Type-A port is for connecting USB compatible

devices. It does not support the BC 1.2 standard.

6. Audio Jack: This 3.5mm TRRS jack supports 2-channel audio output and microphone

input.

Rear Panel

7. USB 3.0 Data Ports: These USB 3.0 Type-A ports are for connecting USB compatible

devices. They do not support the BC 1.2 standard.

8. RJ45 Ethernet Jack: This RJ45 jack is for connecting to a 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit

Ethernet network.

9. Thunderbolt 3 Data Port: This USB Type-C port is for connecting to the USB Type-C

port of a computer or laptop. This port does not support the USB Power Delivery

(PD) revision 2 standard.

10. Thunderbolt 3 Data/Charging Port: This USB Type-C port is for connecting to the

USB Type-C port of a computer or laptop. This port supports the Power Delivery

(PD) revision 2 standard. It can provide 5, 9, 15, or 20 VDC with up to 60 watts of

charging power.

11. HDMI Port: This HDMI® 2.0 port is for connecting an HDMI-enabled video display. It

supports video resolutions up to 4K@60Hz.

12. DC Jack: This DC barrel connector is for connecting the included AC power adapter.

WINDOWS MULTI-MONITOR CONFIGURATION

A display connected to the HDMI® port can be configured to extend the Windows®

desktop, to mirror the main display, or as the main display itself. Perform the steps in one

of the following sections to configure the display.

Extended Desktop

1. Right-click the Windows® desktop and select

Display settings from the pop-up menu.

2. Select the preferred monitor at the top of the

page.

3. Select Multiple Displays > Extend these

displays.

4. Click Apply to confirm and exit.

Mirror Mode

1. Right-click the Windows® desktop and select Display settings from the pop-up

menu.

2. Select the preferred monitor at the top of the page.

3. Select Multiple Displays > Duplicate these displays.

4. Click Apply to confirm and exit.

Primary Monitor

1. Right-click the Windows® desktop and select Display settings from the pop-up

menu.

2. Select the preferred monitor at the top of the page.

3. Check the box next to the Make this my main display option.

Note that on some computers, you may need to disable the main display by

unchecking the box next to Extend the desktop onto this monitor or Extend my

Windows desktop onto this monitor.

4. Click Apply to confirm and exit.

WINDOWS AUDIO CONFIGURATION

By default, when the docking station is connected to a Windows® computer, the audio

configuration will automatically be changed to USB

(Multimedia) Audio Device. If it does not, perform the

following steps to set the audio to use the docking station.

1. Open Control Panel and select the Hardware and

Sound icon.

2. Click Sound > Manage audio device, then select USB

Audio Device.

3. Click OK to confirm and exit.

MAC MULTI-MONITOR CONFIGURATION

Perform the following steps to configure Mac® OS X® to use the second display.

1. Click on the Apple icon in the top left corner of the screen, then select System

Preferences... > Displays.

2. Drag the displays to arrange them as desired. Drag the menu bar to the display you

want to serve as the main display.

3. To switch to Mirror Mode, check the box next to Mirror Displays.
