product are familiar with these instructions as well.
WARNING
When the oven is first switched on, it may give off an unpleasant smell. This is due to the
bonding agent used for insulating the panels within the oven. Before using this oven for cooking
we suggest that you run the new empty oven using the conventional cooking function at 250for
90 minutes to clean oil impurities inside the cavity.
During the first use, it is completely normal that there will be some smoke and odours. If
this occurs, please refrain from putting food in the oven until the odour has passed.
The appliance should be installed in a well-ventilated environment. The appliance and
its accessible parts become hot during use. Care should be taken to avoid touching heating
elements. Children under 8 years of age should be kept away unless continuously supervised.
If the surface is damaged or cracked, switch off the appliance immediately to avoid the
possibility of electric shock.
This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they
have been given instruction or are under supervision concerning use of the appliance in a
safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children should not play with the appliance.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
FITTING THE OVEN INTO THE KITCHEN UNIT
Install
the oven into the space provided in the kitchen unit ,t may be fitted underneath a work top or
into an upright unit. Fix WKHRYHQLQSRVLWLRQ by screwing it into place, using the two fixing holes in the

adequate ventilation, please follow the measurements and distances that need to be adhered to
when fitting the oven on page 11.
IMPORTANT
It is important that the kitchen housing unit is suitable, in order for the oven to work properly. The
panels adjacent to the kitchen unit must be made of a heat resistant material. Ensure that the glue of
unit can withstand temperatures of at least 120ºC. Plastics or glues that cannot withstand such
temperatures will melt and deform the unit. Once the oven has been installed in the unit, electrical
parts must be completely insulated. This is a legal safety requirement. All guards must be firmly
fixed into place so that it is impossible to remove them without using special tools. Remove the back
of the kitchen unit to ensure an adequate current of air circulates around the oven. The hob must
have a rear gap of at least 45mm.

When you have unpacked the oven, make sure that it has not
been damaged in any way. If you have any doubts at all, do not use it:
contact the NordMende Service Department. Keep packaging materials
such as plastic bags, olystyrene, or nails out of the reach of children, as

The oven door should not be opened often during the cooking period.

Description of Function
Oven Lamp: This enables the user to observe the progress of cooking without opening the
door. The oven lamp will light for all cooking functions (except the pyrolytic and ECO function).
Defrost: The circulation of air at room temperature enables quicker thawing of frozen food,
(without the use of any heat). It is a gentle but quick way to speed up the defrosting time and
thawing of ready-made dishes and cream filled produce etc.
Bottom Heater: Heat is applied only by the bottom element in the oven. Use this option for
browning the bottom side of the food. Suitable for slow cooking meals or for warming up meals.
The temperature can be set within the range of 60-120 °C. The default temperature is 60 °C.
Conventional Cooking: Elements from the upper and lower sides uniformly heat the exposed food.
The temperature can be set within the range of 50-250 °C. The default temperature is 220 °C.
Conventional Cooking with Fan: The top and bottom heating elements work with the fan. The food
is cooked evenly and quickly all around. This function is suitable for grilling or roasting big pieces
of meat at a higher temperature. The temperature can be set within the range of 50-250 °C. The
default temperature is 220 °C.
Grilling: The inner grill element switches on and off to maintain the temperature.
The temperature can be set within the range of 180-240 °C. The default temperature is 210 °C.
Double Grilling with Fan: The inner heating element and top heating element are working with
the fan. The temperature can be set within the range of 180-240 °C. The default temperature is
210 °C.
Convection: An element around the convection fan provides an additional source of heat for
convection style cooking. In convection mode, the fan automatically comes on to improve air
circulation within the oven and creates an even heat for cooking. The temperature can be set
within the range of 50-240 °C. The default temperature is 180 °C.
Double Grilling: The inner heating element and the top heating element are working.
The temperature can be set within the range of 180-240 °C. The default temperature is 210 °C.
Pyrolytic Function: When the function is set to pyrolytic mode, the LED display will show
" PYR ". The default temperature is 450°C . The timer can be set at either 1 1/2 or 2 hours
duration.

OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Clock Settings
After connecting the unit to the power, the symbol " 0:00 " will be visible on the LED display.
1> Press " " to make the hour figure flash.
2> Rotate Knob 2 to adjust the hour setting (The time should be between 0 and 23).
3> Press " " to make make the minute figure flash.
4> Rotate Knob 2 to adjust the minute setting (The time should be between 0 and 59).

clock is a 24 hour clock. After powering up, if the time is not set, the clock will show "0:00".
2. Function Settings
1> Rotate Knob 1 to choose the cooking function you require. The related symbol will become

2> Rotate Knob 2 to adjust the temperature.
3> Press " " to start cooking.
4> If step two is ignored, press " " to start cooking and the default temperature will appear on
the LED Display.
Note:
You can adjust the cooking time or temperature of the programme by using the rotating knobs.
Rotate Knob 1 to adjust the cooking time. If the programmed cooking time is thirty minutes or
shorter, each turn of the knob will equate to 1 minute. If the cooking time is between thirty minutes and
nine hours, each turn of the knob will equate to five minutes. Press " " to confirm adjustments.
Rotate Knob 2 to adjust the cooking temperature to begin cooking. Each turn of the Knob 2 will
adjust the temperature by 5, except for the radiant grilling function, where the adjustment is 30℃.
Press " " to confirm adjustments.
5> Press " " to start cooking. If it is not pressed within three seconds, the oven will revert back to the
previous setting, in order to continue cooking.
3. Lamp Settings
1> Rotate Knob 1 to select the relevant function, then the corresponding icon will turn on.

4. Time Inquiry Function
If the oven is in use, you can adjust the clock to display the following:

10. Pyrolytic Function
This function allows you to clean the oven cavity thoroughly.
1> Rotate Knob 1 to select the pyrolytic func
tion. The LED will display " PYR ".

When the oven door is not closed, the oven cannot go into pyrolytic mode. An error message will be
displayed, reading "DOOR" and "PYR".

Similarly, when the oven's central temperature is higher than 320°C the oven cannot go into pyrolytic
mode. An error message will be displayed, reading " COOL " and " PYR ". When the oven's
central temperature
is lower than 200°C, press the pause button once to pause the function.
Pressing the stop button again will begin standby mode. If the oven's central temperature is higher
than 200°C, press pause button once and it will return to standby mode..

If the door is opened while pyrolitic cleaning is in process, the LED will display "DOOR" and the
buzzer will sound continuously until the door is closed or the pause button is pressed.

Before activating the pyrolytic cleaning function, remove any excessive spillage and make sure that
the
oven is empty. Do not leave anything inside it (e.g. pans, baking tray , dripping pan, slider bracket
etc.)
as this could heavily damage them.

When finished pyrolytic cleaning, wait one hour before using the appliance again.

support rails on the right and left sides of the oven can
be removed, dishes and tray can be put on the oven
floor, using functions as Radiant grilling, Double grilling,
Double grill with fan.
Note: When placing dishes on the oven floor, please DO
NOT use functions with bottom heater to prevent heat
gathering at bottom.
BULB REPLACEMENT
For replacement, process as follows:
1> Disconnect power from the mains outlet or switch off the circuit breaker of the unit's mains outlet.
2>
Unscrew the glass lamp cover by turning it counter-clockwise (note, it may be stiff) and replace
the bulb with a new one of the same type.
3> Screw the glass lamp cover back in place.
NOTE: Only use 25-40W/220V-240V , T300°C halogen lamps.
SECURING THE OVEN TO THE CABINET
1. Fit oven into the cabinet recess.
2. Open the oven door.

SHELF PLACEMENT WARNING:
To ensure the oven shelves operate safely, correct placement of the shelves between the side rail
is imperative. The pan and shelves can be inserted at five different height levels.
Ensure the shelves are level by using the same height level on each side. This will ensure that hot
food items do not slide out when removing the shelf or tray.
NOTE: The number of accessories included depends on the particular appliance purchased.

is over 75 degree, the cooling fan will continue working for 15 minutes. When the oven's center

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
For the sake of good appearances and reliability, keep this oven clean. The modern design of the
unit means that minimum maintenance is required. The parts of the appliance which come into
contact with food need to be cleaned regularly.
Before carrying out any maintenance or cleaning, first disconnect the power.
Set all controls to the OFF position.
Wait until the inside of the appliance has cooled down and is not hot but slightly warm -
cleaning is easier when the oven is warm.
Clean the surface of the appliance with a damp cloth, soft brush or fine sponge, and then wipe
dry. In the case of heavy soiling, use hot water with non-abrasive cleaning products.
When cleaning the glass in the oven door, do not use abrasive cleaners or sharp metal
scrapers, these can scratch the surface or damage the glass.
Never leave acidic substances (such as lemon juice or vinegar) on stainless steel parts.
