Allow an adequate space and install the

If the appliance is not level, there may be unusual noises
and poor cooling.
• Wait for at least one hour before plugging the appliance in.
Clean the refrigerator/freezer.
• Wipe and clean the appliance inside and outside with a
damp cloth and dry completely.

• Abnormal operation of the freezer may cause material

If the appliance is not to be used for a long period of
time, pull out the power plug.
• Any deterioration in the insulation may cause fire.
Do not let children touch or play with the control panel
on the front of the appliance.
Do not allow children to play with this appliance.
Do not stand or lean on the base panel, pull-out parts,
doors and so on.
Repairs and maintenance of the appliance should only be
performed by a qualified technician. Incorrect repairs by an
unqualified person are a potential source of danger that
may have critical consequences for the user of the
appliance.
Never put ice cubes or ice pops straight from the freezer
into your mouth. (The low temperature may cause "freezer
burns".)

LEVELLING
If thefront of the applianceisslightlyhigher thanthe rear,thedoor canbe openedand closedmore easily.
The appliance tilts down to the left.
Turnthe left adjusting leg in the direction of
the arrow with a flat head screwdriver until
the appliance is level.
The appliance tilts down to the right.
Turn the right adjusting leg in the direction of
the arrow with a flat head screwdriver until
the appliance is level.

To prepare your appliance for use and check that it is running
Installall shelves and compartments
removed during transport and place them in
the correct position.
You are advised to clean the appliance and
accessories before switching the appliance
on for the first time to remove any dust that
accumulated during packing and shipping.
Please clean the water dispenser (select
models only) with an detergent, especially if
there isan odor.
Switch on the appliance for approximately 2
hours before loading it with frozen food for
the first time. Do not load with frozen food
until the freezer temperature is at least O°F.
If you want to store frozen food as rapidly
as possible, set the temperature control to
the coldest temperature (-14°F) and let the
appliance operate for one hour.
The appliance is preset for normal
operation. We recommend temperatures of
38°F in the refrigerator and -2°F in the
freezer.

Your appliance is operated by a
compressor which switches "on and off' to
maintain the internal temperature. When
the compressor is new, it requires running
in for a period d up to five months. During

quite normal and does not represent a fault.

refrigeratorissufficientlylow. It takesa few
hoursafter startingthe refrigeratorto reach

Pressthe FREEZER TEMR button repeatedly untilthe
desired temperature isshown in thetemperature display.

Refrigerator
• The refrigeratorcan be setto a temperaturebetween 34°F
and46°F.
Press the REFRIGERATORTEMR button
repeatedly untilthe desiredtemperature is shown inthe
temperaturedisplay.
• The temperature displaychanges in sequence and revertsto
the averagetemperature inthe same way as the freezer.

The temperatures displayed for the freezer and refrigerator are the actual
temperatures
of each compartment.
There may be a slight difference between the set temperature and the actual
temperature.
When storingfood in the appliance,follow the
recommendationsbelow.
Allow warmfood and beveragesto cooldown before
storing them in the appliance.
Ensurethat food iswell-wrappedor covered beforeit is
stored.This will preventfoodfrom dehydrating,
deterioratingin coloror losingflavor andwill help
maintainfreshness. Fruitsand vegetablesneednot be
wrapped, providedthat they are storedin the refrigerator
vegetabledrawers.
You are advisednot towrap the foodwith paper and
store it in the refrigeratorand freezer.
It couldbe the cause ofodor generation.
Neverlet anyoil or greasecome into contactwiththe
plasticfittings or door seals,as these materialseasily
become porous.
Neverstore any explosivesubstancesinsidethe
appliance. High-proofalcoholshould onlybe stored
uprightin tightly sealedcontainers.
Pleasekeepthe space betweenshelf and the rearwall
of the enclosedspace of the cabinet 1/2inchapartfor air
circulation.

Pack the food in suitablysized portionsfor your household.
Vegetableandfruit portionsshouldbe no heavierthan2 pounds,while meat portionscan be up to 5.5 Ibs.
Smaller portionsfreeze through morequicklyandthe quality is better maintainedwhen defrosting and preparingthe food.
It is importantto sealfood inairtight bagsor containers beforefreezingto prevent itfrom losing its tasteor dehydrating.
Wrap the food, pressout any air and seal itairtight.
Suitablewrapping materials:
Plasticbags,cling-film, aluminiumfoil andfreezer containers.Theseitems are availablefrom any dealer.
Unsuitable wrapping materials:
Wrapping paper,wax paper,cellophane,bin bagsor used carrierbags.
These can cause odors to be generated.
Suitable sealing materials:
Rubber bands, plasticclips, string,freezer tape or similar.
Plasticfilm andbagsmay be heat-sealedusinga special sealing iron or press.
Before placing a package in the freezer, it should be clearlylabelled with the contents and date of freezing.
Pull out the ice-cube trays.
Close the freezer door.

The coldest partsof the refrigeratorare the rear panels andthe lowest shelf. This is the best place to
storedelicatefood.
• Glassbottlescontainingliquidsthat canfreeze shouldnever be storedin the freezer as the glasswill explode.
Making icequickly
Tospeedup the time it takesto make ice, press the "POWERFREEZE"buttonto selectthefast
freezefunction.
Beforecleaningtheappliance,you mustalways switch itoff and unplugitfrom the wall socket.
Do not usea steam cleaner. Hotsteam could damage thesurface of theapplianceor the electrical
components,with a riskof electricshock.
Ice cube tray
Placea hand in the lowergroove, then pull theice cube makerforward.
Removethe icecubetrays and rinsethem in water and dry completely.
Humiditycontrolleddrawers
Pull the high-humiditysaladdrawerout asfar as itwillgo, then remove itby
lifting itslightlyand pullingittowardsyou.
Wipe itwith a dampcloth and dry completely.
Door bins
Holdthe door bin in bothhands, thenremove it by liftingit slightlyand pulling
it towardsyou.
Wash it inwater anddry completely.
Freezerdrawers
Holdingthefreezer drawer in bothhands, pull itout as far asit will
go,then remove it bylifting it upslightlyand pulling ittowardsyou.
Wipeitwith a dampcloth anddry completely.
Transparent,unbreakableshelves
Removetheshelf, thenclean itusingwater and detergentand dry
completely.
Whenreplacingthe shelves,do not mix up the top,middleand
bottomshelves.
Rubberseal
Cleanthe rubber sealswith a damp cloth anddetergent. Usea wooden
skewerwrapped in a small clothto cleanin the grooves.
