Micro Focus Storage Manager 5.3 for eDirectory is primarily a maintenance release. Please note the

updates and changes below.

2 Admin Client

2.1 Updated Requirements

 .NET Framework 4.8 on supported platforms

 Supported platforms include:

 Windows Server 2012 R2 and later

 Windows 10 (currently supported editions), 64-bit only

2.2 General Updates

 Now supports TLS 1.2 for connections with the Engine

 Refreshed look-and-feel

3 Service Components (Engine, Agent, Event Monitor)

3.1 Updated Requirements

 Open Enterprise 2018 SP1 or later required for installation

(Engine and Agent can still manage storage via proxy for older versions of OES)

 Open Enterprise 2018 SP2 support added

3.2 General Updates

 TLS 1.2 now supported and enforced for all service components

 Third party libraries updated to current versions
