!
ASSEMBLY OF THE TILT MOUNTING SYSTEM
!
1.
Slide the left and right triangle frame (6a and 6b) into slot 1 and slot 3 on both ends of the top and
bottom link bars (6d and 6c) as seen in fig 1.
2.
Push the top link bar (6d) down to slot 2 to lock assembly in place. See Fig 2.
3.
Secure the frame to its mounting location with hardware (not supplied) through the four holes at
the bottom of the left and right triangle frames.
4.
Carefully place each solar panel on the front of the frame so that the bottom of each solar panel
fits in to each slot at the bottom of the frame assembly.
5.
Lock the two eye hooks on the back center frame into the two protruding bolts on the top link bar

INSTALLATION OF THE SOLAR PANELS TO THE REGULATOR
!
1.
Use the 3-in-1 adaptor to connect the Solar Panels in parallel by connecting the J-plugs together.
2.
Run wires from solar panels through weatherproof grommets to where the charge controller is
located.
3.
Connect the ‘O-Rings’ to the solar terminals on the regulator by unscrewing the terminal caps and
placing the ‘O-Rings’ on the terminals ensuring the correct polarity is observed
(Positive [red, +], Negative [black, -]). See Fig 4.
4.
Replace the terminal caps to secure the ‘O-Rings’ in place.
5.
Secure all connections using terminals and ensure all connections are safe with no bare
connections exposed.

CONNECTING THE REGULATOR TO THE BATTERIES
!
1.
Connect the O-Rings to the Battery Terminals on the regulator by unscrewing the terminal caps
and placing the O-Rings on the terminals, ensuring the correct polarity is observed
(Positive [red, +], Negative [black, -]). See Fig 4.
2.
Connect the Black Clamp (Negative -) to the negative terminal on the battery. Then, connect the
Red Clamp (Positive +) to the positive terminal on the battery.
3.
To charge the batteries the Regulator must be switched ON.
!
Note: Do not change the order above to avoid any risks of electric shock.

OPERATION
!
The Regulator provides the following protection while charging:
!
1.
Overcharge Protection When battery is charging and because full, the regulator will shut off
power if the voltage goes too high (above 14.5 Volts) to prevent damage to the battery.
2.
Over-Discharge Protection When the battery is being used and the charge level goes too low
(Below 11 Volts) the regulator will shut off the power output to prevent damage to the battery. If
this happens refrain from using the battery and charge it until the voltage readout shows 13 Volts.
3.
Overload Protection If the output current exceeds 4 Amps, the fuse will blow to prevent any
damage to the regulator. If this occurs, have a qualified technician replace the fuse.
!
Note: The regulator must be turned on to activate the protective functions.
!
!
!
!
!
!
!

!
!
This system can also be used to power other small 3 Volt, 5 Volt, 6 Volt and 9 Volt DC appliances.
!
1.
Insert the appropriate plug on the multi-purpose adaptor into your appliance.
2.
The adaptor has 3 Volt, 5 Volt, 6 Volt and 9 Volt DC plugs.
3.
Insert the plug on the other end of the wire into the appropriate DC outlet on the regulator.
4.
The 5 Volt plug is for USB devices only (cable not included).
!
Note: Once finished, ensure the appliance the Multi-Purpose Adaptor are unplugged from the regulator.
!
!
!
Digital Voltage Meter
!
1.
To activate the Digital Voltage Meter simply depress the Switch for Digital Voltage Meter button
located on the left hand side of the Digital Voltage Meter.
2.
This will give a readout of the battery voltage.
!
Note: It is recommended to leave the Digital Voltage Meter off when not monitoring the battery voltage as
the voltage meter consumes energy.
