Precautions and general suggestions
For best use of electrical
appliances please read the
instructions for use
carefully and keep them in
a safe place.
Remove the cardboard
protection and the
protective plastic film.
Take the accessories out of
the oven and heat it to
200°C for about an hour to
remove the smells and
fumes of insulating
material and protective
greases. Keep the window
open during this operation.
N.B.: When the electrical
appliances are used, the
cooling fan works at two
different speeds
depending on the
component temperature.
Full speed: for high
component temperatures.
Slower intermittent
speed: for low component
temperatures.
The intermittent speed
should be considered a
normal condition of the
electrical appliance at low
speed. The fan may stay
on even after the
electrical appliances are
switched off until the
components and the
adjacent units are cooled
sufficiently.

Any repair or operation on

Make sure that the
electrical cables of other
appliances used near the
hob do not touch hot parts
and are not trapped in the
oven door.
Precautions and general suggestions
Oven
Do not lean or sit on the
open oven door. Do not
hang anything heavy on
the handle of the open
oven door.
Use oven gloves to remove
pans and accessories, when
the oven is hot.
Do not cover the bottom
of the oven with
aluminium foil.
Do not leave any
inflammable material in
the oven. If the appliance is
switched on by mistake, it
could catch fire.
Electric/glass ceramic hob
Do not use the
hotplates/cooking zones
empty.
On the hob there are
plates/cooking zones of
different diameters. Use
pans with base of the same
diameter or slightly larger
than that of the
hotplates/cooking zones.
Use flat-bottomed pans.
Using concave or convex
bottomed pans can
damage the hob.
Do not use the hob for
storage or as a working
surface.
When frying, watch the
pans because they could
catch fire.
Special tips for the glass
ceramic hob
With the booster boiling
function, only use stainless
steel pans with double-
layer bottom.
If breaks are noticed after
heavy objects have fallen
on the hob or it has
received violent blows, do
not use it and call the
After-Sales Service
immediately.
Do not place food wrapped
in aluminium foil, plastic
containers or rags on the
hot cooking zones.
To avoid scratches do not
drag pans over the hob.
If the hob has halogen
lamps, do not stare at them
when they are on.
Avoid spilling sugar or
sugary substances on the
hob. If this does happen,
clean the hob carefully
following the cleaning
instructions in this manual.

Installation
Technical information
for the installer
Oven
Unpack the oven to make
the connections. Rest the
oven on the polystyrene
base to avoid damaging it.
Do not lift the oven by the
door handle, but hold it at
the sides by means of the
side handles.
Make sure that the
appliance has not been
damaged during transport.
The dimensions of the
oven and the unit are
given in the picture at the
side.
Units in contact with the
oven must be heat
resistant (90°C).
If plastic laminates or the
sealing material are not
sufficiently heat resistant,
bubbles may form, the
surface may be deformed
or the coating may detach.
To ensure correct
ventilation, respect the
ventilation openings
indicated in the picture
(200 cm
2
minimum).
There must be a gap of at
least 5 mm between the
upper edge of the oven
and the lower edge of the
working surface. This gap
must never be closed by
strips or unit reinforcing
pieces.
Make the electrical
connection between hob
and oven (see “Electrical
connection”).
Fasten the oven to the unit
with the two screws (A) as
shown.
Installation
Hob
Install the hob in a
working surface from 20
to 50 mm thick. Do not
put anything between
the hob and the oven
(stays, brackets, etc.).
Any column unit must
be at least 100 mm
away from the edge of
the hob.
Make a hole of the
dimensions indicated on
the separate card in the
working surface.
Fit the gasket supplied
(where not already fitted)
on the working surface,
after cleaning the surface
as in the illustration.
Glass ceramic hob
N.B.: before installing the
hob, remove the protective
film.
If the working surface is
made of wood use the
pins and screws supplied.
1.Position the 4 pins (D) as
shown, respecting the
measurements indicated.
2.Fasten them by means of
the screws (E).
3.Fit the hob in the working
surface.
If the working surface is
made of marble,
plastic, ceramic,
stone, etc., fit the hob
using special brackets
(F). These brackets can
be obtained from the
Technical After-Sales
Service with the code
No. 4819 404 78697.
1.Position the hob in the
working surface.
2.Use the 4 brackets (F),
positioning them as shown
in the picture,
according to the
working surface
thickness.
3.Tighten the 4 screws
(G) in the holes (H).
Warning
When the oven is
installed, make sure
that the sides do not
touch the front edges
of the unit or the
adjacent drawers and
door (see picture).
No contacts
Electrical connection
Make sure that the
installation and the
electrical connection are
made by a qualified
engineer according to
the manufacturer’s
instructions and the
local rules in force.
The installer is
responsible for the
correct electrical
connection and for
observance of the
safety rules.
To connect the hob/oven
Make sure that the voltage
stated on the appliance
rating plate is the same as
the voltage in your home.
The rating plate is on the
front edge of the oven
(visible when the door is
open).
Use an HO5RR-F supply
cable, (at least 800 mm
long):
The appliance must be
connected to the mains
by means of an
omnipolar switching
device with a contact
opening distance of at
least 3 mm.
Earthing of appliances
is obligatory by law.
Do not use multiple
sockets or extensions.
After the installation,
the electrical parts must
be inaccessible.
Connect the two
connectors, one 3 pole and
one 4 pole, to the
connectors on the oven.
Connect the yellow/green
earth wire ( ) from the
hob to the screw on the
connectors.
Do not switch on the
oven before connection
is complete.
House the oven in the unit
cavity being careful not to
trap the supply cable.
Warning
During the cooking
process water
evaporates as steam
from the food. All ovens
require this steam, and other
fumes, to be vented from the
oven cavity. For reasons of
safety and appearance, it was
determined that the bottom
of the door is the optimum
position. Consequently
vapours may be seen to be
coming from this area on
occasions (see picture). This is
a normal occurrence and the
bottom trim can be cleaned.

Oven accessories
The accessories vary depending on the model (see Product Card).
Bar rack
The bar rack can be used in
the same way as a flat rack.
The number of shelf
positions can be doubled,
depending on whether the
rack is inserted in the (A) or
(B) position.

Multi-purpose drip tray
This tray can also be used as
a baking tray, and has a
sloping adge for this
purpose.
Use as a baking tray for
cream puff, meringues,
cookies, puff pastry, etc.
When placed under a roast,
it acts as a drip tray to collect
dripping juices and fat.
When half-filled with water,
it can be used as a bain-
marie.

Energy saving hints
Use pans with base of the
same diameter or slightly
larger than that of the
cooking zone.
Use only flat bottomed
pans and frying pans.
If possible, leave covers on
pans during cooking.
Boil vegetables, potatoes,
etc. with just a little water
to save energy.
Pressure cookers help to
save energy and are
quicker than traditional
pans.

Oven cooking functions
The functions change accordingly the model - see the separated product sheet.
Defrosting function
This function is used to
speed up the natural
defrosting of frozen foods. It
can also be used to cool hot
dishes which are to be eaten
cold or lukewarm.
Pastry function
(Static + fan)
Cakes and pastries,
quiches, fruit pies
This cooking method is ideal
for:
- Fine pastry cooking, to
prevent drying out.
- Fruit pies and quiches
which have to be browned
on the top and bottom.
This function can be used for
simultaneous cooking on
different levels: change the
dishes round half-way during
the cooking time.
Fan function
Volailles, tartes, poultry,
pies
This function can be used for
cooking different dishes
simultaneously on two or
three levels without
crossover of odour or
flavour. The dishes are evenly
browned and are tender and
succulent.
The function can also be
used for rapid defrosting at
50° C.
Static function
Pastries, quiches, roast
meats, poultry
-Pre-heat the oven to the
cooking temperature, so that
the dishes start to cook as
soon as they put in the oven.
- Put the dish in the oven as
soon as the thermostat light
goes off.
- Cooking dishes should be
deep enough, and placed on
the middle shelf rack.
For cakes and pastries,
use:
- either the multipurpose
drip tray (short cakes and
pastries, meringue, roulade
cakes)
- or a pie dish or cake tin,
placed on a shelf rack.
It is recommended to use the
two lower shelf levels.
Turbogrill function
(Grill with fan)
Roast meats, meat on the
bone, fish
This method is particularly
suitable for cooking meat so
that it is done but still
succulent. Also for more
succulent fish: turn after half
the cooking time.
During grilling, some parts
of the appliance can become
hot: children must be kept
away.
Grill function
Gratins and grilled dishes
For this cooking method, the
door must be kept closed,
including for grilled dishes.
If the food is placed directly
on the rack, place the drip
tray underneath, to collect
dripping juices.

Maxi grill function
Poultry, fish
For this cooking method, the
door must be kept closed
(including for grilled dishes).
If the food is placed directly
on the rack, place the drip

Booster function
With this function the oven
heats up quickly. When the
selected temperature has
been reached, the oven
automatically switches to the
conventional function

The hob knobs are marked
with a graduated scale which
corresponds to different
power levels and with
various symbols which refer
to the function.
Keep Warm
maintenance function
This function uses a low
power level to keep the food
warm when cooking is
finished.
How it works:
1. Turn the knob to .
2. To switch off the Keep
Warm function, move the
knob.
Dual zone function
(depending on the model)
This function is available on
the front left and back left
hotplates. The dual zone
enlarges the hob heating
area so that large, oval or
rectangular pans can be
used.
How it works:
1. Turn the knob to and
wait until the residual
heat pilot light
corresponding to the
hotplates starts flashing.
2. Select the power level
required, turning the knob
anticlockwise. The residual
heat pilot light stays on to
indicate that the hob is
switched on.
3. To switch off the function,
turn the knob to “0”.
>> ICP function
(initial cooking phase)
This function speeds up
hotplate heating for the time
set during the initial cooking
phase.
How it works:
1. Turn the knob to >>
.
2. Wait for the residual heat
pilot light to flash, then
turn the knob
anticlockwise to the
power level required. E.g.:
if the level is “1”, the
cooking zone will work at
full power for 1 minute
and will then continue on
power level “1” until
cooking is complete,
unless the knob setting is
altered. If the level is “6”,
the cooking zone will
work at full power for 6
minutes and will then
continue on power level
“6” until cooking is
complete, unless the knob
setting is altered. This type
of operation can be
applied to all the levels,
apart from level “10”.
Fast boiling function
With this function water can
be brought to the boil
quickly. It remains active for
a pre-set time. When the
time has elapsed, the hob
automatically returns to the
maximum power level. This
function can be switched on
even if cooking has already
started.
Warning: Before switching
on this function, make sure
that the pan has been put on
the chosen cooking zone to
avoid damaging the hob
surface. The performance
values specified for the Fast
Boiling function are
guaranteed for all types of
glass ceramic hob.
How it works:
1. Put the pan on the
cooking zone chosen.
2. Turn the knob to .
Gentle heat function
This can be used to raise
dough, soften butter taken
from the fridge, keep babies’
bottles or food warm, make
yoghurt, dissolve chocolate,
etc..
This function is only
accessible when the residual
heat pilot light is on.
How it works:
1. Make sure that the
residual heat pilot light of
the cooking zone to be
used is ON.
2. Turn the knob to .
3. To switch off this function,
move the knob.
This function is not
linked to any hob
function; the
heating element is
switched off.

Care tasks
Removing the oven door
To remove the oven door,
guide the lever (A) into the
hinge notch (B): close the
door to its stop position and
pull out towards you.
Refit in the reverse order.
Changing the oven light
bulb
Disconnect the oven from
electrical supply.
To change the bulb, remove
the cover (H). Proceed as
shown in the diagram
opposite. Use only E14 - 15W
- 300°C bulbs. Remember to
replace the seal (J)
Self-cleaning system
Self-cleaning (General)
HOW DOES THE SELF-
CLEANING SYSTEM WORK?
This oven burns off deposits
and fat splashes at high
temperature.
The smoke that is produced
is passed through a catalyst
and out of the appliance as
clean air.
The self-cleaning system
works more efficiently if it is
operated before the oven
becomes too dirty.
The amount of power used is
very low and will be
recovered after the system
has been used a few times.
There is no need to operate
the self-cleaning function
each time the oven is used,
however.
For safety reasons the self-
cleaning function will only
operate following automatic
locking of the oven door.
Once the internal oven
temperature exceeds the
normal operating
temperature, the door can
no longer be opened.the
door can no longer be
opened.
After each use leave the
oven to cool and clean it
to avoid the encrustations
being repeatedly heated.
If the dirt is tough, use a
specific oven cleaning
product following the
instructions on the
packaging.
Clean the outside with a
sponge dampened with
lukewarm water.
Do not use abrasives or
metal pads.
Clean the oven door glass
with a liquid detergent.
Wash the accessories in the
dishwasher or by hand
using an oven cleaning
product.
If cooking lasts for a long
time, or when cooking
simultaneously on several
levels food containing a
large amount of water
(pizza, stuffed vegetables,
etc.) condensation
may form on the
inside of the door
and on the gasket;
when the oven is
cold dry with a cloth
or a sponge.
Cleaning the oven and its accessories
NOTES
The self-cleaning function
can be operated at any time
using the programmer, even
overnight (to take
advantage of lower rates). A
few precautions to note:
remove all accessories
from the oven,
including roasting tins,
drip trays, etc.
remove larger deposits,
since these can ignite or
produce a large amount
of smoke.
When the self-cleaning
operation is complete and
the door can be re-opened,
there may be white deposits
on the inside of the oven;
allow the oven to cool and
remove any residues with a
damp sponge.
The cooling fan will
continue to operate after
the oven has switched
off. This is normal, and it
will switch off
automatically once the
oven has cooled to
normal temperature.
USING THE SELF-CLEANING
FUNCTION
- Turn the mode selector to
the “self-cleaning”
position.
Electronic programmer
The display automatically
shows the time of 1 hour
and 30 minutes.
To change this time, please
refer to the instructions in
the PROGRAMMING section.

For a normally dirty oven, set
the self-cleaning function for
90 minutes.
General
recommendations
The self-cleaning function
can be extended to 120
minutes if the oven is very
dirty.
The pilot light indicates that
the oven door is locked. This
light also comes on again at
the end of the programmed
time. The door cannot be re-
opened until the oven has
cooled down to its normal
operating temperature
(maximum cooking
temperature).
Do not try to open the oven
door while it is automatically
locked; this could damage
the door. If the pilot light is
on, wait until it switches off.
Cleaning and maintaining
the glass ceramic hob
We recommend you clean the
hob after each use, when it has
cooled down. This avoids dirt
accumulating and makes
cleaning easier.
Use a clean cloth, kitchen
towel and washing up liquid
or specific products for
cleaning glass ceramic hobs.
Remove stubborn dirt with
the scraper supplied and
specific products.
Avoid letting any spilt food
dry on the hob.
Do not use abrasive products,
bleach, oven cleaning spray
or steel-wool pads.
We recommend a regular
clean with the special waxes
available.
Trouble-shooting guide
The oven does not work
Switch on the appliance
again to see whether the
problem has disappeared.
Check that there is power
to the appliance.
Check that the oven
selector switch is not on
the “O” position.
Check that the
temperature and function
have been selected.
Excessive smoke during
operation
Select a temperature lower
than the recommended
temperature given in the
cooking chart.
Do not use the multi-
purpose drip tray as a
roasting tin.
Clean the oven.
Steam
When cooking dishes
which contain a large
amount of liquid (e.g.
stuffed tomatoes,
courgettes), the oven
should be pre-heated to
the cooking temperature
to prevent condensation
forming on the cold glass
panels of the oven door.
The cooling fan continues
to operate after the oven
has switched off
The fan is an active safety
device which operates
when the oven
temperature is too high. It
may continue to operate
after the oven has been
switched off.
The cooling fan fails to
operate
Call the After-Sales Service.
The oven door fails to
open
When the self-cleaning
function is in operation,
the door remains locked
and the pilot light remains
on. The door cannot be re-
opened until the oven has
cooled down to a normal
operating temperature
(below the maximum
temperature of the
cooking thermostat).
If the appliance still fails
to function properly,
please call the After-Sales
Service.
The hob does not work
Check that it is switched
on.
Check that the knob is not
on position “O”.
Turn the omnipolar
switching device to “OFF
for a few minutes and
then turn it back to the
ON” position.
Before contacting the
After-Sales Service:
1.See whether you can solve
the problem yourself (see
“Trouble-shooting guide”).
2.Switch the appliance off
and on again to see
whether the problem has
disappeared.
If after these checks the
hob or the oven are not
working correctly, contact
the nearest After-Sales
Service.
Always give:
the type of fault
the type and exact number
of the appliance
the Service number (this is
the number after the word
SERVICE on the serial
number plate) under the
hob or on the Product
Card and on the inner left
edge of the cavity.
The After-Sales Service
