CyberData Unicast-to-Multicast Adaptor is a device that enables the transmission of unicast audio data as a multicast stream in a LAN/WAN environment that does not support the forwarding of multicast data. It has a predefined command port through which the user can send a message to define the multicast output address. The device supports up to 4 channels of audio data, which can be sent simultaneously. It connects to a standard PoE 802.3af compliant hub via a single cable and supports both 10/100 Mbps Ethernet speeds.
