Naxa NRC-180 is an easy-to-read dual alarm clock radio with a USB charge port. It features a large, easy-to-read LED display, dual alarms with multiple wake-up options, and a sleep timer. The built-in FM radio has 20 presets so you can easily tune in to your favorite stations. You can also connect your smartphone or other compatible device via Bluetooth to stream music wirelessly. Connecting the Unit to
Power
Plug one end of the power adapter into the Power In-
put jack, and then plug the other end into AC wall out-
let. Before switching on the unit, make sure that the
voltage of your electricity supply is the same as that
indicated on the rating label of the power adapter.
ѥѥThe included adapter accepts AC
100-240V power.
Battery Backup
Battery backup will preserve the current time,
alarm settings, and stored radio stations in the
case of power failure or interrupted AC power.
Insert two UM-4 batteries (AAA) into the battery
compartment. Be sure to observe the proper po-
larity (the “+” and “-” signs) as indicated inside the
battery compartment.
Setting the Clock
While the system is in Standby mode (i.e., the radio
is off):
1. Press and hold the PRESET/TIME SET button.
The time will begin to ash on the display.
2. Press the button to adjust the hour; press
the button to adjust the minutes.
Hours and minutes run forward only
when being set; if you pass the desired
time, continue pressing the button until
the time cycles back around.
3. When the correct time is set, press the PRESET/
TIME SET button again to conrm.
ѥL Take note of the PM LED indicator
when setting the clock.

Setting the Alarms
While the system is in Standby mode (i.e., the radio
is off):
1. Press and hold the VOL+/AL1-SET button to set
Alarm 1. The AL1 LED and time will ash on the
display.
To set Alarm 2, press and hold the VOL−/
AL2-SET button instead. The AL2 LED and
time will begin to ash on the display.
2. Press the button to adjust the alarm hour;
press the button to adjust the alarm min-
utes.
Hours and minutes run forward only
when being set; if you pass the desired
time, continue pressing the button until
the time cycles back around.
3. When the correct alarm time is set, press the
VOL+/AL1 -SET button to conrm (or VOL−/
AL2-SET for Alarm 2).
4. To change the alarm type, press the or
button. The available alarm types are:
bp: Beeper
S-1: Birds
S-2: Waves
S-3: Rainforest
S-4: Thunder
Radio frequency: the current FM radio
station.
Snooze Function
1. Whenever the alarm (radio or buzzer) acti-
vates, it can be temporarily suspended for 9
minutes by pressing the SNOOZE/SLEEP/DIM-
MER button once.
2. The alarm will then sound again automatically
after 9 minutes.

Turning o the Alarm
Press the button to turn the alarm off
when it sounds. The alarm will reset and be ready
for the next day.
Listening to the Radio
Press the button until the display
screen shows the FM radio frequency. The FM band
is active when the FM LED is lit.
1. Press the or buttons to manually
tune to a radio station. Press and hold the
or buttons to scan to the next station
with a strong signal.
2. To tune to a preset station:
a. Press the /TIME SET button; the
display screen will ash with the current
preset station number (e.g., “P02”).
b. While the preset station number is ash-
ing, press the or buttons to
change the preset station.
ѥL Stations with a weak signal can only
be tuned in manually.
Saving a Radio Station to
Memory
1. Tune the radio to the frequency you want to
save as a preset station.
2. Press and hold the MEM/ button; the display
screen will show the current preset station num-
ber (e.g., “P01”).
3. Press the or buttons to choose the
preset station number, then press the MEM/
button to save the current frequency as Preset 01.

4. Repeat steps 1 to 3 to save additional preset sta-
tions.
ѥL Up to 20 stations can be stored in
memory (P01 to P20).
Sleep to Music Function
Place the radio on a timer so that you can listen to
music as you fall asleep.
1. Press the SNOOZE/SLEEP/DIMMER button.
The display will show the default sleep time of
90 minutes
2. Continue to press the SNOOZE/SLEEP/DIM-
MER button to toggle through the timer
length options.
3. The options are 90-80-70-60-50-40-30-20-
10-min. or OFF.
4. The radio will turn off automatically after the
set time has elapsed.
Listening to Connected
Bluetooth® Devices
Pairing a Device with Blue-
tooth®
A device must be paired with the system before us-
ing them together for the rst time.
Press the button until the display
screen shows “bt” and the Bluetooth LED is ash-
ing. The system will automatically search for a
paired device to connect to. If it does not detect
a paired device, it will switch to Pairing mode (the
Bluetooth LED will continue to ash.
While the Bluetooth LED is ashing:
1. Make sure Bluetooth® is enabled on your de-
vice. Enable it if it hasn’t.

2. Use your device to search for available Blue-
tooth devices. (This function is usually in the
Bluetooth settings menu; refer to your de-
vice’s instruction manual to learn more.)
3. The speaker will announce itself as the “NAXA
NRC-180.” Select it from the list of devices.
4. If your device asks for a passcode, use “0000”
to complete the pairing process.
ѥL If the speaker fails to pair with your
device: 1) Make sure Bluetooth is
enabled on your device; 2) Press and
hold the MEM/ button until the
Bluetooth LED ashes; 3) Use your
device to search for the Naxa NRC-
180 again.
Using the Bluetooth® Controls
If your device supports Bluetooth remote functions,
you will be able to do the following it is connected to
the system:

Decrease the volume level Press VOL–/AL1-SET.
Increase the volume level Press VOL+/AL2-SET.
ѥL Make sure the volume of your con-
nected device is set to maximum,
then use the speaker’s controls to
adjust the volume to a comfortable
listening level.

Using AUX Input
Connect devices without Bluetooth® by using the
AUX connection. A 3.5mm AUX cable is required to
make this connection.
AUX input only works when the system is in FM
radio mode and a 3.5mm AUX cable is plugged in.
1. Press the button until the dis-
play screen shows the FM radio frequency.
2. Use the 3.5mm plug of the included AUX cable
to connect the device’s headphone or line-out
jack to the AUX connector of the system.
3. Turn on the device and the system. Lower the
volume on both.
4. Set the device volume to 80% of its maximum
and then start playback.
5. Press VOL–/AL1-SET to gradually increase the
volume of the speaker to a comfortable level.
ѥL Use the connected AUX device to
control all functions in AUX mode.
The speaker can only be used to
adjust the volume.
Charging Your Devices
Connect the standard end of a USB cable (not in-
cluded) to the USB port on the rear of the unit and
connect the other end to the charging port of your
device. USB cables may differ by manufacturer, so
be sure to use the one provided with your device.
ѥL Some devices may not support USB
charging or may require a higher
power rating than this product
provides. Observe the charging
status on your device, or refer to
the manufacturer’s specications.
There are many different devices
with different power requirements;
