GENERAL INFORMATION
This document contains installation instructions for the andiron kit used
with traditional SCORPIO direct vent gas fireplaces. The decorative andiron
kit is offered as an enhancement to the firebox appearance.
If you encounter any problems, need clarification of these instructions
or are not qualified to properly install this kit, contact you local distribu-
tor or dealer.
Read this instruction sheet in its entirety before beginning the installation.
ALL WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS IN THE INSTALLATION INSTRUC-
TIONS AND CARE AND OPERATION MANUALS PROVIDED WITH THE
APPLIANCE APPLY TO THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
TURN OFF THE FIREPLACE AND ALLOW IT TO COMPLETELY COOL
BEFORE PROCEEDING.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE: INSTALL ANDIRONS ONLY WHEN FIREPLACE IS OFF AND COOL.
Step 1. Remove barrier and glass door
Step 2. Remove log(s) around andiron placement as necessary taking
care not to break logs.
Step 3. Place andirons so that brackets hooks underneath log grate and
the base sets against the fireplace flood at desired positions
Step 4. Replace logs taking care not to break logs
Step 5. Reinstall glass door and barrier
