The instructions for use are part of the product. They
contain important information concerning safety,
use and disposal. Before using the product, please
familiarise yourself with all of the safety information
and instructions for use. Only use the product as
described and for the specified applications. If you

The product is intended to measure body weight.
The product has a weighing range of up to
396 lb / 28 st (180 kg). This product is only suitable
for indoor use. The product is only intended for
household use and is not for commercial use.

able batteries
A non rechargeable battery is
included.
Risk of fire and burns. Do not
recharge, open, crush, heat be-
yond 140°F (60°C) or burn.
Keep the battery out of reach of
children and inside the original
packaging until ready to use.
Dispose of used batteries
promptly.
– Never put
batteries in the mouth. Swallow-
ing may lead to serious injury or
death. If ingested, immediately
seek medical attention and have
the doctor call the National
Capital Poison Control Center at
(202) 625-3333.
Clean the battery contacts, both
on the battery and inside the
product, before installing the
battery.
Remove batteries from the prod-
uct if it will not be used for an
extended period of time.
Since batteries are susceptible
to high temperature, store them
in a cool, dry location.

damaged batteries / recharge-

on contact with the skin. Always
wear suitable safety gloves
when handling leaking batteries.

Before use
Note: Remove all packaging materials from the
product.
Initial use
1. Open the battery compartment 4 at the back
of the product by pushing the battery cover
clip 6 on the battery cover 5 toward the
battery compartment 4 and lifting off the
battery cover 5.
2. Remove the insulating strip 7 under the battery.
3. Reattach the battery compartment cover 5 to
the battery compartment 4. Be sure to insert
the retaining pin on the battery cover 5 into
the notch on the edge of the battery compart-
ment 4.
Firmly press the battery cover 5 into the bat-
tery compartment 4 until you hear it lock into
place.

Replacing the battery
1. Replace the battery when the product is not in
use.
2. Open the battery cover 5 as described under
„Initial use“.
3. Remove the drained battery by pulling the lo-
cking tab 8 until the battery is automatically
released. Remove the battery from the battery
compartment 4.
Note: The LC display 1 will show when to
replace the battery. When standing on the pro-
duct if the battery is low, the LC display 1 will
read “Lo” and the product will automatically
turn off.

Note: When the product displays “Lo”, replace
the drained battery with a new battery of the
type specified under „Technical Information“.
4. Insert a new battery in the battery compart-
ment 4. Be sure to insert the battery correctly,
with the “+” pole up. The battery must be
pushed into the battery compartment 4 until
secured in place by the locking tab 8.
5. Close the battery compartment 4 as descri-
bed under „Initial Use“.

Setting the unit of weight
Note: The standard unit of weight is kilogram (kg).
The factory default setting for the product as sup-
plied is “kg”.
Push the kg / lb / st button 3 located at the
back of the product to select the unit of weight.
The units will be displayed in the
LC display 1 as follows:

Pound (lb): see figure
Stone (st): see figure
Turning the product on/
weighing yourself
Tip: Weigh yourself at the same time of day
(preferably in the morning) after using the toilet, on
an empty stomach and without clothing to ensure
that your results are comparable.
Place the product on a solid, flat and level
surface.
Step on to the product.
Place even weight on each leg.
If at all possible stand on the same areas of the
platform 2 each time and do not move.
Moving during the weighing process can lead
to discrepancies in the results.
The product will start to measure immediately.
The LC display 1 will flash 3 times and then
show the weight.
Note: If the product shows „oL“, the product is
overloaded. Do not exceed the maximum capa-
city of 396 lb (180 kg / 28 st).
Step off the platform 2. The product will auto-
matically turn off after about 10 seconds. Until
then it will continue to show the weight.
Note: The product must be recalibrated after
changing locations and after changing the
battery. To do this, proceed as follows:
Step onto the product. The product will show
you an incorrect measuring result. Step off the
platform 2. The product will calibrate auto-
matically.
Wait until the product turns off automatically.
Step onto the product again. The product will
now show the correct weight.
Troubleshooting
This product has delicate electronic compo-
nents. This means that if it is placed near an
object that transmits radio signals, it could
cause interference. If the LC display 1 indi-
cates a problem, move such objects away from it.
Electrostatic charge can cause the product to
fail. If the product fails to work, remove the
batteries briefly and reinsert.

Cleaning
Clean the product with a slightly moist cloth.
For tough dirt dirt you can also apply a weak
soap solution to the cloth.
Never immerse the product in water or other
liquids. Ignoring this advice may damage the
product.
Disposal
Dispose of the packaging through your
local recycling facilities and in compli-
ance with all federal, state and local
regulations.

Please note the package markings
regarding waste separation, indicated
by abbreviations (a) and numbers (b),
meaning: 1–7: plastics / 20–22: paper
and cardboard / 80–98: composite
materials.
Contact your local waste management
authority for additional information on
how to dispose of the used product.
To help protect the environment, please dispose of
the product properly when it has reached the end
of its useful life, do not throw in the garbage. Infor-
mation on collection sites and their opening hours
is available from your local authority.
Defective or used batteries must be recycled.
Return the batteries and / or the product to the
appropriate collection facilities.
Improper disposal of batteries can
damage the environment!
Never throw batteries in the garbage. They may
contain toxic heavy metals and must be handled as
special waste. The chemical symbols of heavy met-
als are: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead.
Used batteries should therefore be disposed of
through a local collection point.
Warranty
What does this warranty cover?
The warranty covers:
· Damage, breakage or inoperability due to defect.
· Damage not accounted for by normal wear and
tear or following the safety and maintenance
instructions provided in the user manual.
What is not covered by the warranty?
The warranty does not cover damage caused by:
· Normal wear and tear of the product, including
fragile parts (such as switches, glass, etc.);
· Improper use or transport;
· Disregarding safety and maintenance instructions;
· Accidents or acts of nature (e.g. lightning, fire,
water, etc.).
· Tampering with the product (such as removing
cover, unscrewing screws etc.)
What is the period of coverage and
warranty resolution?
The warranty is for 3 years from the date of purchase.
At our discretion, product will either be refunded or
replaced.
What will we not do?
We will not:
· Start a new warranty period upon product
exchange;
· We will not repair product.
