INTRODUCTION

Congratulations on your purchase of the Impecca Bamboo Bluetooth Speaker System. Before using your

speaker system, please read through this manual. This manual will help you use many of the exciting and

useful features of your new unit.

Read the following notices & information carefully to ensure proper operation of your Bluetooth speaker system.

This manual is solely provided for informational purposes and in no way constitutes a legally binding

document between the manufacturer, distributor, and consumer.

WARNING: PLEASE READ THIS MANUAL CAREFULLY BEFORE OPERATING AND RESERVE IT FOR FUTURE

REFERENCE. IT WILL BE HELPFUL TO YOU IF YOU ENCOUNTER ANY OPERATING PROBLEMS.

1. WARNING: To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble the unit. There are no user-ser-

viceable parts inside. Contact technical support for further assistance.

2. WARNING: To prevent re or electric shock hazard, do not expose the unit to rain or moisture.

3. Do not expose the adapter and Bluetooth speaker system to any water (including drips or splashes).

Objects lled with liquids, such as vases and water bottles, should not be placed on the unit.

4. Keep the Bluetooth speaker system away from direct sunlight & heat sources such as radiators or stoves.

5. Do not place the Bluetooth speaker system on an unstable table, stand, tripod, bracket or cart. The

unit may fall, resulting in possible damage or injury.

6. Dispose of this unit properly respecting your local laws for electronics and battery disposal.

7. CAUTION: Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Internal battery is sealed and not

intended to be replaced by consumer.

8. WARNING: The battery shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunlight, re or any other

heat source.

9. WARNING: Only use attachments/accessories provided by the manufacturer.

• Standard 3.5mm (1.8”) line in jack allows direct

wired hookup to any audio device that has a

standard headphone (or line-out) jack.

• Ability to control source unit from the speak-

er system – Play, Pause, Previous track, Next

track, etc. when the source is connected via

Bluetooth

GETTING STARTED

1. Charge your unit by plugging the round DC jack into the back of the unit in the DC 5V receptacle and

the USB end into a computer or powered USB wall adapter (not included).

2. While charging, you should see a small red LED underneath the icon.

3. Once fully charged – or if disconnected from power supply – the red LED will extinguish.

4. To power on unit, slide rocker switch on back from “OFF” to “ON.”

5. You should hear “The Bluetooth is ready to pair.” If you prefer to use the “line in” hookup instead of

Bluetooth, skip to step 6.

6. To use the line-in input instead of Bluetooth, press the button briey. You will hear “Line in mode”

and the blue LED will remain steadily lit.

PAIRING BLUETOOTH

1. As soon as you hear “The Bluetooth is ready to

pair,” there should be a small blue LED ashing

quickly (located under the icon). This shows

that the unit is in pairing mode.

2. On your source device (phone, MP3 player,

tablet), start a “search for devices” in your

“Bluetooth” menu. The exact method varies

from device to device.

3. After a few moments, you should see a device

labeled “JQ-168A” in the list of found devices.

This is the device to connect to.

4. If your device prompts you for a connection

code, enter “0000”.

5. You should hear “The Bluetooth is connected

successfully” if the connection is successful.

While this is happening, the blue LED should

ash even more quickly. Once complete, the

blue LED should ash at a slow and steady rate

as long as your device is connected.

6. If your device moves out of range, or Bluetooth

is turned o, the speaker will emit a polyphonic

tone and the blue LED will begin to ash rapidly.

7. Note: Once you have paired to a particular de-

vice, you should not have to pair again, unless the

device lost the settings. Upon powering on in the

future (or switching back to Bluetooth from “line-

in” mode, you will hear “The Bluetooth is ready to

pair.” However, after a few seconds, you should

hear “The Bluetooth is connected successfully”

without any further intervention required.

PLAYING MUSIC

1. If using the line-in method, use your input device

to select songs, etc. Use the volume buttons on

the top of the speaker unit to control volume.

2. If using Bluetooth

, use the buttons on the top

of your speaker unit to play or pause the cur-

rent song; skip or reverse your song selection,

and to change the volume of the playback. Note:

The volume control on your device will also im-

pact the volume coming out of the speaker.

Note: For best results, set the volume on your input device to a moderate level.

PHONE CALLS

This unit is designed exclusively as a speaker system, and does not contain a microphone. As such, if, while

playing music from a smartphone you receive a phone call, you should select “handset” or “speaker” (as

opposed to Bluetooth) from your device’s phone application in order to carry on a two-way conversation.

TROUBLESHOOTING

DEVICE WILL NOT POWER ON

Ensure that the unit is connected to the supplied AC/DC power adapter, or has been fully charged.

DEVICE TAKES VERY LONG TIME TO CHARGE FULLY

This depends on the power amperage of your USB charging adapter. Most computers output 500mA.

Some adapters range from as low as 200mA to as high as 2500mA. Charging time will vary greatly de-

pending on what adapter is used. For best results, purchase an Impecca USB210 wall adapter.

CANNOT CONNECT TO BLUETOOTH

Follow instructions in the “Getting Started and Bluetooth Pairing” section above. If you cannot pair, make

sure that the blue light is ashing rapidly. If it is steady, you are in “line in” mode. Press the Bluetooth

button briey.
