Stepbystepinstructions
Whenyouremovethe2100fromthebox,firstchecktomakesureallofthepartsare
present.Then,readthoroughlytheentireassemblyinstructionsbeforeyoubegin.
1.Placethewoodenblockunderneaththemachinetoholditinthecorrectposition.
Then,usingthetoolsprovided,removethetoptwoframeboltsandsetasidefor
useinthenextstep.Donotremovethebottmtwoframebolts(seeFig.1).
2.Slidetheseatframeoverthelowertwoframebolts,thensecurewiththetoptwo
framebolts.Tightenallfourbolts(seeFig.2).

3.Removethewoodenblockplacedinpositioninstep1(seeFig.3).

UnderstandingtheElectronicsPackage
MANUAL
Whateachofthesecategoriesmeans
Assoonasyouturnonthemachine,youwillautomaticallyentertheMANUALMode,
startingat"LEVEL3."IfthisistheModeyouwishtouse,youmaybegin.
PLEASENOTE:Thereare7levels,withLEVEL1beingtheeasiestworkout,and
LEVEL7beingthehardestworkout.Pressthekeysto
choosethelevel.
Onceyouhavemadeyourchoice,theelectronicspackagewilldisplaytheword
"MAN'L,"andyouwillbepromptedto"PULLTOSTART."
1.When"MAN'L"appearsinthedisplaywindow,youcanadjusttheLEVELyou
desire.
2.PresstheLEVELkeystochoosetheworkoutLEVEL.Thedisplaywill
promptyouto"PULLTOSTART."
3.Ifyoustopinthemiddleofyourworkout,youwillbepromptedtoPULLTO
START.Allinputdata(TIME,DISTANCE,CAL.,etc.)willberetained.
4.YoucanusetheMODEkeytoswitchbetweenDISTANCE,TIME,CAL,
STROKES,SCANandPULSE.UsethekeystosettheTIME,DISTANCEor
STROKESyoudesire.
DISTANCE:Pressthekeystosetthedistance.Eachpressofthekeychanges
thedistanceinincrementsof10feetormeter.Pressandholdthekey
willchangethedisplayby100feetormeter.Whenyouhavereached
thedistanceyoudesire,pressENTER.
TIME:Usethekeystosetthetimeofyourworkout.Eachpressofthekey
changesthetimeinincrementsof1minute.
Pressandholdthekeywillchangethedisplayby5minutes.Whenyouhave
reachedthetimeyoudesire,pressENTER.
Duringyourworkout,theelectronicspackagewillcountdown,andthenbeep
for10secondswhenthetimeisup.Ifyoucontinueworkout,theunitwillstart
tocountup.
CAL:Thisreadoutgivesyoutheamountofcaloriesburned,basedonthedistance
duringyourworkout.
STROKES:PressthekeystosetthestrokesintheMANUALmode.Eachpress
ofthekeychangesthestrokesinincrementsof10strokes.Pressand
holdthekeywillchangethedisplayby100strokes.Whenyouhave

CAUTION:TurnofftheunitanddisconnecttheACcordbeforecleaning.
RegularcleaningisrecommendedtokeepyourLinearrower2100atpeak
performance.Beforeyourworkout,useadryclothtocleanthesurfaceofthe
electronicspackage.
Shouldwater,forsomereason,getintheelectronicspackage,
immediatelyblowdrytheelectronicspackage.
Tocleantheplasticparts,useamilddetergentandmakesuretheunitis
completelydrybeforeoperating.
Itisrecommendedthatyoukeepallliquidsawayfromtheunitduringoperation.
Spillageofliquidsontoorintothemachinewillvoidthewarranty.

Maintainingthechain
Periodically,aspartofregularmaintenance,thechainofyourlinearrowershould
beoiledtomaintainpremiumperformance.
Pullthechaintoitsmaximumlength,andrubthechainwithanoil-soakedragover
it'sentirelength.(seeFig.9).

GUIDELINESFOREXERCISE
HowlongshouldIexercise?
HowoftenshouldIexercise?
Thedurationofyourexercisesessionisdependentonyourfitnesslevel.Ingeneral,
itisrecommendedthatyoumaintainyourheartrateinthetrainingzoneforatleast
10minutestorealizeanaerobicbenefit.Asyourfitnesslevelincreases,youwillbe
abletomaintainyourheartrateinthetrainingzoneforlongerperiods:usually
between20and30minutes.
Whenfirststartingyourworkout,takethefirstseveralminutestowarmup,then
slowlyincreaseyourworkloadtobringyourheartrateintoyourspecifictraining
zone.Attheendofyourworkout,graduallydecreaseyourworkload,thenexercise
lightlyasa"cooldown".
Aerobicexercises,toachievethegreatestbenefits,shouldbeperformed3-5times
aweek.Itisimportanttoallowsufficienttime,atleast24hours,foryourbodyto
recoverafterexercise.

Ifnothingisdisplayedontheelectronicspackage,pleasecheckthePOWERswitch
locatedonthefrontoftherower.Ifitisnotlit,thenthefuseisdamagedandmust
bereplaced.
MAKESURETHEUNITPLUGISREMOVEDFROMOUTLETBEFORE
REPLACINGTHEFUSE.
Toremove:Findthe2Afuse(100-120V),2Afuse(200-220V)holderonthefrontof
themachine,pushinthefuseholderwithfuseandturnthefuseholder
counterclockwisetoremovethedamagedfuse(seeFig.10-110-2).
Toinstall:Insertanewfuseintotheholder,pushthefuseholderwithfusein,then
turnthefuseholderclockwisetosecure(Fig.9-39-4).
Plugthepowercordintothewallsocketagain.Iftheunit'sdisplaystillrefusesto

4.Replacethebatterycompartmentprotectivecasingandsecurewiththree
