3 / INSTALLATION
FREESTANDING APPLIANCE
The back of the appliance must be installed
against the wall. You can use the top surface as a
work surface.
Tip: Do not place the dishwasher too close to
a source of heat because the top could get dama-
ged
BUILT-IN APPLIANCE
If you are going to install your appliance under the
worktop, take into account the dimensions in the figure
(Fig. 3.1). You can do it with or without a cover.
- If you need to remove the cover because it does not
fit properly, remove the screws and move the cover
backwards, as shown in the diagram (Fig. 3.2).
- Bring the dishwasher closer to the worktop and raise
it by turning the rear feet until there is a 3 mm gap bet-
ween the appliance and the worktop.
- Put the dishwasher into the niche.
- Raise it until it touches the worktop by turning the
front feet with a screwdriver (Fig. 3.3).
- Fix the dishwasher to the worktop with two screws,
using the front plastic tabs (Fig. 3.4) or if the worktop
is made of marble or a similar material, you can fix it
to the side using two brackets which are available
from the after-sales service.
Danger: If there is a ceramic, induction or
gas hob fitted above your dishwasher, thermal in-
sulation must be placed on top of your dishwas-
her. You can obtain it from the after-sales service
or your dealer. Remember to leave a space bet-
ween the gas pipe and your dishwasher.
CONNECTING TO THE WATER SUPPLY
This dishwasher can be supplied with cold or hot
water up to a maximum of 60ºC. When supplying with
hot water, check that your original hose allows such
connection (red marking on the pipe). However, we re-
commend that you connect to the cold water supply.
Connect the hose to a tap with a threaded end, diame-
ter 20/27 (3/4" BSP)
Warning: If you use a self-piercing tap,
check that there is sufficient water flow. Check
that the hose seal is present and that the connec-
tion pressure is correct (Fig. 3.5).
If the appliance is connected to new pipes or pipes
that have not been used for a while, let the water run
for a few minutes before connecting the water hose in
order to avoid deposits of sand or rust that could block
the filter.
Danger: The symbol tells you that the
water hose is connected to the power supply (de-
pending on the model). Do not cut the hose or put
it in water while the appliance is plugged in.
Tip: Always close the water tap when the ap-
pliance will not be used for a long period of time.
DRAINING AWAY THE WASTE WATER
You can connect the end of the drain hose to:
- A ventilated U-bend (Fig.3.6) or to the edge of the
sink (Fig. 3.7) using the plastic elbow that is supplied
with the appliance.
- A sink U-bend (Fig.3.8). Remove the cap and tie the
end of the hose to the U-bend, using a clamp if neces-
sary.
The sink must follow the dimensions in (Fig.3.6). In
order to install it in a column unit, the draining
system must be at least 25 cm from the base of the
dishwasher.
Warning: While the dishwasher is being put
in place, pull on the hoses gradually so as not to
kink them. Avoid any kinks or constrictions.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
Before connecting the appliance to the mains power
supply, ensure that:
- The mains voltage indicated on the manu-
facturer’s plate (J) on your machine matches the vol-
tage supplied by your installation (Fig. 4.1).
- Your meter and electrical box can support
the current intensity for your dishwasher. A fuse of at
least 16A is required.
If you must connect your appliance to a different vol-
tage from that indicated on your machine, connect an
appropriate transformer.
Warning: This appliance must be connected
to an earthed plug and socket.
In all cases, it must be connected in accordance with
the prevailing regulations in the country concerned
and any additional regulations from the local electricity
company.
Your dishwasher complies with European Directives
2006/95/EC (Low Voltage Directive), 2004/108/EC
(Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive).
