Operation
PENPORT can be used in 3 different ways:
1. without a cable (due to an integrated rechargeable battery – one battery charge
will cover over 1000 disinfection processes)
2. directly connected to an electrical outlet using a power supply unit
3. directly connected to a PC using the supplied USB cable
To use the device without a cable and without a direct power connection, you must charge
the device in advance. To charge the device, simply use the adapter supplied with delivery
or connect the device directly to a PC using the supplied USB cable. Activate the device
using the control panel on the back, and then PENPORT is ready for use:
After use, the pen is placed in the slot provided for this purpose. The cleaning process
then starts automatically thanks to an integrated motion sensor. The pen is irradiated
from all sides by two powerful UV-C lights and is completely disinfected and ready for
use after 9 seconds. Shielding of the light sources is ensured. Individuals in the vicinity
of the device are not exposed to any UV-C radiation.
Warning! Do not expose eyes and skin directly to the UV-C light. Always keep this
device out of reach of children. Do not expose the device to direct sunlight during use.
Please note that UV-C light can cause long-term damage to certain materials. We
therefore recommend that you contact the manufacturer in advance of disinfecting
particularly high-quality pens with special finishes, or find out about the properties
of the relevant materials.
Please note: There are many dangers of infection in practically all areas. It is therefore
important to be aware that the use of PENPORT cannot give an absolute guarantee that the
user will completely avoid illness and infection. A high number of precautionary measures
must be taken to avoid microbial infection. Although the use of PENPORT is an important
precautionary measure, it should not be the only precautionary measure taken.
