Lexus RX400h
This quick reference guide provides you with the information on Dynamic Laser Cruise Control Following Distance Control Mode. This system uses a laser radar sensor to detect the presence of the vehicle ahead and maintain a safe following distance. The detection range of the sensor is about 120 m (400 ft.) ahead. If a vehicle is detected ahead of you, your cruising speed will change in proportion to the speed of the vehicle ahead. If no vehicle is detected ahead of you, your cruising speed is maintained at the preset speed from about 45 km/h (28 mph) to about 135 km/h (85 mph). The following distance can be set to Long, Middle or Short. Each time you pull the distance switch briefly toward you, the setting changes. The system also has an approach warning feature that will flash and beep if your vehicle gets too close to the vehicle ahead.
