Important safety precautions

Please read and follow this user guide thoroughly before
using the SL15.
•
Incorrect use or incompatibility with your device may result
in reduced battery performance or damage to your device.
Verify device is 5V, for compatibility with the SL15.
•
Do not attempt to disassemble product. Tampering with
the product can result in damage to your SL15, void the
warranty, and could cause injuries.
•
Store and operate between 32° F–113° F.
•
Do not allow this product to have contact with liquids.
•
Do not place unit near a heat source or ame.
•
Do not throw or shake.
•
Do not operate if unit has been subjected to shock or damage.
•
Do not crush or puncture the housing.
•
Use a soft cloth to clean the exterior. Do not use harsh
chemicals or strong cleaning solvents.
•
Do not dispose of this product with other household waste.

Setting up the SL15
Included: SL15, charge dock, 100/240V AC adaptor, user guide.
1.
Place the SL15 on a at surface.
2.
Insert the included AC adapter into the opening labeled
“DC IN” before plugging the adapter into a wall socket.
Only use the included AC adapter.
Charging your mobile device
1.
Use the original USB cable included with your mobile device.
2.
Turn the SL15 ON by pressing the power button.
A white power indicator LED will illuminate.
3.
Plug the mobile device to be charged into one of the USB ports.
4.
Rest the mobile device in one of the charging trays.
NOTE: Certain devices have proprietary charging requirements
and may not properly charge.

Charging specications
1.
Mobile device must take 5 volts and no more than 2.5 Amps.
2.
If you plug in a device that requires more than 2.5 Amps, the
unit will automatically shut off, for safety purposes.
3.
Charge up to ve 2.4 Amp devices simultaneously. For
example: 5 tablets, smartphones, mp3 players or other USB
devices. (See FAQ)
4.
The SL15 will not charge any device that is not 5V, such as a
laptop.
NOTE: Charging times vary depending on device.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Q. What are the power requirements for the devices to be
charged?
A. The SL15 will charge any device with a maximum current
requirement of 2.5 Amps. For example, the iPhone requires a
maximum of 1.2 Amps. However, when multiple devices are
charged simultaneously, they must not exceed 12.5 Amps total.
The voltage requirement of each device charged is 5V.
Q. What are some examples of devices that can be charged
simultaneously?
A. Some examples of devices the battery can charge simultaneously:
•
5 tablets
•
2 tablets and 3 smartphones
•
1 tablet and 4 smartphones
•
Up to 5 smartphones
•
Up to 5 mp3 players

Q. What happens if the devices to be charged simultaneously
total more than 12.5 Amps?
A. If devices totaling more than 12.5 Amps are connected
simultaneously, the SL15 will cease operating. If this occurs,
disconnect all devices and unplug the SL15 from the wall
to reset it. Wait a few minutes and try again. Conrm that
the devices to be charged simultaneously do not together
exceed a total of 12.5 Amps.
Q. How long does it take to charge a device, such as the iPhone 5,
or other similar devices?
A. The charging time for devices like the iPhone and iPod
depends on the model. For example, the iPhone 5 will fully
charge in around two hours. Please refer to the technical
specications for each device.
Q. Does the charging time for each device change if multiple
devices are plugged in?
A. No.
Q. Does the SL15 charge all USB devices?
A.
The SL15 charges most USB charged devices. Some devices
require charging with the original AC adapter sold with the device
or with a computer with a special driver installed for the device.
Q. Is there a battery inside the SL15?
A. No.
Q. Is there a maximum and minimum temperature for using and
storing the SL15?
A. The SL15 will operate at temperatures ranging from 32˚ to
113˚ Fahrenheit (0° to 45° Celsius), with slight performance
changes based on extreme temperatures. The unit should not
be used if condensation appears.
Q. What is the best way to store the SL15?
A. Store in a cool (room temperature), non-refrigerated, dry
place. Avoid high temperatures.

Troubleshooting
1.
Device will not charge.
Verify:
•
The SL15 is powered on.
•
Your wall outlet is supplying power.
•
The device to be charged requires 5V.
•
Devices to be simultaneously charged do not total more
than 12.5 Amps.
•
Any devices plugged into the 2.4 Amp ports do not draw
more than 2.5 Amps.
•
The USB charge cable is correctly inserted into the SL15
and device and is free from dirt and debris.

The SL15 will not turn on.
Verify:
•
Proper connection between AC adapter and the SL15.
•
Proper connection between AC adapter and wall socket.
•
The wall socket has power.

This equipment complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for
an uncontrolled environment. This equipment should be installed and
operated with minimum 20cm between the radiator and your body.
This transmitter must not be collocated or operating in conjunction with
any other antenna or transmitter unless authorized to do so by the FCC.
NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits
for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These
limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful
interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses,
and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in
accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio
communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not

occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful
interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by
turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct
the interference by one or more of the following measures:

Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
•
Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.

Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from
that to which the receiver is connected.

Warranty information
Schumacher
Electric Corporation warrants to the original consumer
purchaser that this product will be free from defects in material
and workmanship for a period of 90 days from original purchase.
If a defect covered by this warranty is found, Schumacher Electric
Corporation, at its sole option, will repair or replace the product at
no charge. If a replacement is necessary, and the product is no longer
available, a comparable product may be substituted.
This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, abusive use or misuse,
modication, tampering or otherwise not related to either materials or
workmanship. This warranty does not apply to products used for any
industrial, professional or commercial purposes.
Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.
