Always connect to a polarized outlet (left slot is wider
than right). Unplug from outlet when not in use and
before conducting maintenance.

Do not modify the polarized plug to fit a
non-polarized outlet or extension cord.
Do not leave vacuum cleaner unattended when it
is plugged in.
Unplug from outlet when not in use and
before servicing.
Do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces.
Do not allow children to operate vacuum cleaner
or use as a toy.
Close attention is necessary when used by or
near children.
Do not use for any purpose other than described in
this User’s Guide.
Use only manufacturer’s recommended attachments.
Do not use with damaged cord or plug.
If appliance is not working as it should, has been
dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into
water, have it repaired at an authorized
service center.
Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle,
close a door on cord, or pull cord around sharp
edges or corners. Do not run appliance over cord.
Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp
the plug, not the cord.
Do not handle vacuum cleaner or plug with wet hands.
Do not put any object into openings. Do not use with
any opening blocked; keep openings free of dust,
lint, hair, and anything that may reduce air flow.

nails, screws, coins, etc.
Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking,
such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes.
Do not use without filters in place.
Use only on dry, indoor surfaces.
Keep appliance on a level surface.

THIS APPLIANCE HAS
A POLARIZED PLUG.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has a
polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). This plug
will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does
not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not
fit, contact a qualified electrician to install a proper outlet.
Do not change the plug in any way.

Tool required: Phillips screwdriver
1. Slide upper handle onto unit. Insert one screw
into hole and tighten until snug. Screw will
be taped directly above cord wrap on back of
handle.
2. Hose will come assembled and wrapped on unit.
Note: It is important that hose is fully inserted
into base for air to be directed properly to foot
during vacuuming.
3. Wrap power cord around cord wrap.
4. Store crevice tool on back lower left side of
unit by snapping into place. Store the crevice
tool on vacuum as shown.
Foot assembly
No tools are required for assembly.
1. Slide foot pivot into suction path on body of
unit until pivot clicks into place. Ensure
connection is secure.
Transporting your cleaner
Place unit in upright position and tip back to roll
on rear wheels.
Power switch
Power switch is located just below handle on
left side of dirt container. Push switch “ON” (I) to
vacuum, and “OFF” (0) when cleaning is complete.
Handle positions
1. Upright – For storage and above floor
cleaning with crevice tool.
2. Normal cleaning – Lightly press foot of
vacuum and pull handle back to detent.

How to use your bare floor vacuum
The bare floor vacuum is a quick and easy way
to clean your bare floors and low pile carpets.
1. Lightly press foot of vacuum and pull handle
back to detent.
2. Turn power switch to ON (I) position.
3. Clean along edges, in corners, and around
tables and chairs by lining unit up along
surface you want to clean.
4. When finished cleaning, turn power switch
to OFF (0) position.
5. To properly store, return handle to upright
position.
Emptying the dirt container
Dirt container should be emptied before debris
reaches the “full” line on front of container.
1. Unplug unit from electrical outlet.
2. Slide Lock ‘n Seal
®
lever to “unlock” position.
3. Grasp clear dirt container and pull out to
remove from vacuum.
4. Empty dirt into trash can.
5 . Put dirt container back in vacuum and slide
lever to “lock” position.
Note: Dirt container needs to align with
notch inside of unit in order to click into
place. Make sure dirt container is secure
before turning unit on.

Cleaning the separator grill
Dirt container should be emptied before debris
reaches the “full” line on front of container.
1. Unplug unit from electrical outlet. Ensure
power is OFF.
2. Separator grill can be reached by removing
dirt container, reaching underneath and
turning rim of separator grill clockwise to
unlock. Pull straight down to remove
separator grill.
3. Separator grill may be wiped clean with
a damp cloth. Air dry thoroughly before
replacing.
Cleaning the pre-motor filter
1. Unplug unit from electrical outlet.
2. Pre-Motor filter protects motor from dirt particles.
It is located in slide out tray underneath dirt
container. If filter becomes dirty, pull out tray,
lift filter out and clean. This filter may be hand
washed in cold water with mild detergent. Rinse
well and air dry thoroughly before replacing.

Clearing clogs
Low suction or poor pickup may be due to a clog
in dirt cup. If this occurs, follow these steps to
check for and clear clog:
1. Unplug unit from electrical outlet. Ensure power
is OFF.
2. Empty dirt container.
3. Check upper tank for build up or clogs.
4. Remove separator grill and check suction inlet
for clog.
5. Grasp hose grip and lift to separate from suction
opening. Check for clog in base or hose.
6. Release twist n’ snap hose from unit by turning
hose to the left. Straighten hose and remove any
clog found.
7. Check foot for clogs in air path.
Brush and wiper maintenance
Regularly check rear angle brush and front
wipers on the underside of unit
to keep clean. Wipe any debris that has
accumulated on the angled brush or front
wipers with a damp cloth.
1. Unsnap rear angled brush by pulling up from
one side. Replace with a new brush by
snapping into track.
2 . To remove wipers, unscrew two tip screws.
Slide old wiper out and insert new wiper.
Note: Any other servicing should be
performed by an authorized service
representative.
