1. Connecting the Router
Before installing the device, please make sure your broadband service
provided by your ISP is available. If there is any problem, please contact
your ISP. You need to connect the device to the phone jack, the power outlet,
and your computer or network. Before cable connection, cut off the power
supply and keep your hands dry.
1) Connect the ADSL LINE.
2) Your splitter divides the data and voice, and then you can access the
Internet and make calls at the same time. The external splitter has three
ports:
LINE: Connect to the wall jack
PHONE: Connect to the phone sets
MODEM: Connect to the ADSL LINE port of DT860W.
Plug one end of the twisted-pair ADSL cable into the ADSL LINE port on
the rear panel of DT860W. Connect the other end to the MODEM port of
the external splitter.
3) Connect the Ethernet cable. Attach one end of a network cable to your
computer’s Ethernet port or a regular hub/switch port, and the other end
to the LAN port on the DT860W.
4) Attach the power adapter. Connect the power adapter to the POWER
connector on the rear of the device and plug in the adapter to a wall
outlet or power extension.
5) Turn on the DT860W and power on the computers and LAN devices.

2. Login to the Router
To connect to the router, you should set up the TCP/IP Protocol in "Obtain
an IP address automatically" mode on your PC(s). If you need instructions
as to how to do this, please refer to the User Guide on the Resource CD.
1) Launch a suitable web browser and type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar
of the browser.
2) After that, the login screen shows. Enter the default User Name admin
and the default Password password, then click Login.

3. Connect to the Internet
1) If the User Name and Password are correct, you can configure the
router using the web browser. Please select the Interface Setup tab,
then the next screen will appear. The default PPPoE username and
password are visible on the screen. Please change it and enter your
username and password. Click the NEXT button.
2) If you have entered your username and password correctly, you should
be now able to connect to Internet.

4. Connect to the Internet
Now to configure Wireless LAN settings, please follow the following steps.
a. Click on Interface Setup and on Wireless tab. You will see the following
screen.

b. Choose the Authentication Type as required and change the password
to your required password.
c. Click on SAVE. Now you have configured your router.
