BASIC FUNCTIONS
Before you use your Blinc please charge it fully.
When charging, a faint red light will appear
from inside the units left side window. When
fully charged, and pendant off, this light will
shut off. If your Blinc is on, the red light will
stay on while charging, regardless of charge
level. Allow approximately 2 hours for a full
change.
• To turn on your device, simply press the on/off
button once.
• To turn on/off the utility light press the
power/utility light button on the device or by
selecting the button on the home screen of
the app. To change the brightness of the
utility light, press the power/utility button
again. To turn off press once more.
• To alarm, push the alarm button TWICE
rapidly on the device. Alarm can also be
triggered by tapping the green Occly icon
TWICE rapidly on the app Home or Crime
Map screen.
• To disable the alarm, your 4-digit personal
cancellation code will need to be entered on
the app screen.
• If you have difficulty pairing the Blinc or need
to pair to another phone use the following
procedure:
1. With the Blinc off, hold down the
alarm button and press the powerbutton.
2. While continuing to hold the alarm
button, look for the side lights to flash.
At that time, release the alarm button.
3. Go to your phone’s Bluetooth setting
and pair Blinc to your phone.
4. Once paired, hold down the power
button for approximately 6 seconds to
turn off your Blinc.
5. You may now turn the Blinc back on
for use.

are color coded to the Crime level in any

Report suspicious activity. Used to mark
suspicious activity/crime on the map.
Crime type. Type and location is reported
and entered by users.
Location button. Takes you back to your
exact location on the map.

Takes you to the home screen.

Account - Takes you to My Account screen. Here you
can access the full user account page, change password,
request images, modify HomeWatch addresses,
emergency contact List, and log out.

Settings - Includes settings for Ambient Lighting,
CrowdHelp notifications, Impact Sensor, Blinc Alerts,
Belt Clip Alerts, HomeWatch sound level, Social Media,

You will find a list of Occly devices that are available to
connect to. Any device bluetooth paired will be
selectable from list.
Un-pair the Blinc from the Occly app (does not un-pair
from your phone)
Turn off your Blinc. Note: Alarms will no longer process
from your Blinc when it is off.
Puts your Blinc online. Make sure you power on your
Blinc before pressing this button.
Customize when you’d like to be reminded to take your
device.

E. Settings Menu
AMBIENT LIGHT/FLASHLIGHT - LOW: Ambient,
HIGH: Flashlight
CROWDHELP™ - Notifies user when an alarm is triggered
from a nearby Occly device. ON/OFF setting.
IMPACT SENSOR - Used for triggering automatic alarms.
Senses and measures any sudden impacts. Best for when
using while riding your bike or in vehicle.
BLINC ALERTS - Get alerts about Occly push
notifications. Lights will Flash when push messages are
received.
HOLSTER ALARM – Activate alarm if belt clip unfastens.
HOMEWATCH™ SOUND LEVEL - Used to adjust sound
detection trigger level during HomeWatch™. Eg: “Low”
setting will trigger alarm when softer sounds are
detected. LOW/MEDIUM/HIGH setting.
SOCIAL MEDIA - Allows the user to post to social media
when using Blinc. ON/OFF setting.
ALARM – Alarm will activate if Blinc and Phone lose
Bluetooth connection.
SILENT ALARM - Disables sound and lights during alarms.
