Quick start guide
1. Lifeline button is not functional until registered (see reverse).
2. Lifeline must be fully charged before rst use.
Green charging light will extinguish when fully charged.
3. Splash proof in all sea conditions, when upper cap is open.
4. Avoid submerging your Lifeline with upper cap open.
Speaker performance will be temporarily affected.
Press Chat Button to turn Lifeline on. Press and hold until “T” appears on
LCD screen, then talk into mic. Release Chat Button to receive.
Changing Chat Button Channel
1. Press chat button 3 times quickly to enter channel change mode
2. Scroll through channels using chat button
3. Hold down chat button to select and conrm channel
Chat Button - Use to communicate
between your Lifeline and any VHF radio
on the same channel. Default CH 08.

1. Press hail+distress button 7 times quickly to enter channel change mode

3. Hold down hail+distress button to select and conrm channel
Hail+Distress Button - Use to
communicate on the International Hail
and Distress channel, CH 16.
Non-emergency functions will automatically shut off after 5 minutes of inactivity.

Lifeline Button - Use to automatically
transmit your GPS position and alert
message to any modern VHF radio,
CH 70. EMERGENCY USE ONLY.
Maintenance & Storage - Always store Lifeline in a dry
place, out of direct sunlight, with cap open and antenna
fully extended. Gently rinse your Lifeline in fresh water
after each use. Do not pressure blow-dry.
Do not remove antenna. Removal of
antenna will void warranty and may
result in damage to your Lifeline.

Press and hold until “DISTRESS ON” appears on the LCD screen and the
strobe ashes. To turn off, press and hold until “DISTRESS OFF” appears.
For maximum range hold Lifeline as high above the water line as possible.
NOTE: Many countries (but not all) allow use of MMSI numbers. You must
apply to your local authorities to obtain an MMSI number.
1. Visit www.nautiluslifeline.com/downloads and download
“Nautilus Lifeline DIVER software”
2. Plug Lifeline into computer using the
supplied USB cable.
3. Fill in the Nautilus Lifeline Registration form and submit by internet or
print and mail. Your MMSI can not be activated until registration
is complete.
4. Click on the “Advanced” tab.
5. Type in User Name and Lifeline MMSI
6. Click “Sync Setting to Lifeline”
