Safety Information

grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong are
provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit
into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of

Internet Radio Quick start Guide
Thanks for your buying! We are sure that it will provide you with years of enjoyment and reliable service.
What you need before you can use your Internet radio?
A broadband Internet connection.
A wireless access point (Wi-Fi) connected to your broadband Internet, preferably via a router.
If your wireless network is configured to use Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) or Wi-Fi Protected
Access (WPA) data encryption then you need to know the WEP or WPA code so you can get the
Internet Radio to communicate with the network.
If your wireless network is configured for trusted stations you will need to enter the Radio‟s MAC
address into your wireless access point.
To find the Radio’s MAC address, need 3 steps:
1. Press , and then press or to <Information Center>, press to confirm.
2. Press or to <System Information>, press to confirm, and it is done!
3. Press or to <Wireless Info>, press to confirm, and you will get it!
To enter the MAC address into your wireless access point, read the instructions supplied with the
wireless access point maybe necessary.
Note: Before continue, make sure that your wireless access point is powered up and connected to your
broadband Internet.

Connecting to Network
Step 1 - Power up Radio
Connect the power adapter to connect the DC Jack on the side of the unit. After this connection is
made, insert the power adapter into the wall outlet, in use, radio can be switched on or off by
pressing .
Later, it will say:
Step 2 Access to Network
If your network is not configured to request a password (WEP/WPA), radio will connect to the
network and display:
In some cases it may find more than one network. Press or to cycle through the name list,
press when the name of your favor network is displayed.
If a WEP/WPA key (password) is required, radio will display as following:
Press or to your favour Router, and then press to confirm.

Your radio will ask you to input the WEP/WPA code and display the password entry screen.
a. Press or to pick the character youve desired, if you want quick run to number, you can
press directly reach 9-0.
b. While your target character shows up, press to select it, simultaneously, the cursor will forward
to next character for your selection.
c. If a wrong character is being input, press to delete it.
d. After input the last character, press to get your radio to try access internet.
Now, it should be connected to network and shows as below.
Note: a. WEP/WPA pass codes are case-sensitive.
b. Radio will automatically save the WEP/WPA code, therefore no bother to re-enter, unless you order a
<Reset to Default>.
Or, if it failed to access, please do follow:
A. Check your Router, see it works normally or not.
B. Relocate your radio to a stronger signal position, this is highly recommended!
C. Make sure your password is input correctly.

Choosing a Station
Note: If a wrong operation being conducted, you always can have it move back by pressing .
1. After your radio connect to network, press to enter while cursor point to <Internet Radio>.
2. Press to enter while cursor point to <Radio station/Music>.
3. Press or to your selecting option, press to confirm, and then step by step to your favor
program.
Note: a. There are seven options available for selecting a station: Global Top 20, Genre, Country/Location,
Australia, Canada, United Kingdom and USA.
b. GENRE enables you to choose radio stations according to their content, for example Classic Rock,
Sport, News, etc.
c. COUNTRY/LOCATION enables you to choose from the radio stations provided by any country which
you choose from a list.
d. Some radio stations do not broadcast 24 hours per day, and some stations are not always on-line.
e. If this station has on-demand content (that is, it gives the option of listening to programs which have
already been broadcasted.

Local stations
Note: a. If a wrong operation being conducted, you always can have it move back by pressing .
b. make sure your radio already connect to network, you can directly set Local stations by pressing the
scan button.
1. Press to main menu, press to enter while cursor point to <Internet Radio>.
2. Press or to <Local Radio>, and then press to confirm.
Note: Local Radio is, can be changeable according to your current location, for instance, it can be local US,
or local UK, etc. In a word, its a very easy way for you to find your local programs.
3. Press or to your favourite item, press to confirm, and then step to step to the program you
desired.
Searching and Adding Radio Stations
1. Press , while cursor point to <Internet Radio>, press to confirm.
2. Press or to Service, press to confirm.
3. Press or to your preferred option, press to confirm, and it is done!
Station Updates
Occasionally, your radio will show you that it is receiving an updated station list. It does it automatically
and periodically, ensuring your radio always has the latest station directory on-board.

Scan Programs
Note: Internet radio mode use only, it is unique designed for you enjoying programs, each program play 30
seconds only and then turn to next.
1. While your radio shows program lists or while playing a station program under internet radio mode,
press the SCAN button to activated scan programs function.
Setting Station Preset as My Favorite
This function is only limited to Internet program, to store the current station:
1. While playing a program, press and hold for 2 sec., until it says Add to My Favorite.
2. To store another program, it can be reached by pressing back to station list, and then repeat
above step1 to store it.
Selecting a Favorite Station
1. If it isnt in Internet radio mode, press to convert to.
2. Press to your favorite, and then press or to browse.
3. Press to confirm to load that program, and it is done!

My mediaU
My mediaU enables your radio programs synchronization with the web, before execute this order, you
need below 4 steps:
1. Go to www.mediayou.net, click join now to create a new account.
Note: please save your registered E-mail address and Password.
2. Using you registered account log in, click the column of my mediaU, and then make a search
through Continent, Location, Genre or station name, add programs to My Favorite Station,
Favourite Location/Genre and My Local Station (City), etc.
3. Click the column of Device on this web, and then input your radio device name, and Serial Number,
do not forget press Save button to save it.
Note: a. Device name, is depending on your favor, you can name it what are you like.
b. Serial Number is radios Mac address, to obtain it, please refer to Page 3.
4. Turn off your radio, let it reconnecting to web is a must.
5. Press , and then press or to < My MediaU >, press to confirm.
6. Press or to your selecting option, press to confirm, and then step by step to your favor
program.

UPnP
Step 1: Set Up Media Sharing in WMP 11
Note: After you download and install Windows Media Player 11 for Windows XP/vista/7, and connect your Radio
to the network, you need to set up media sharing so that you can share music with your Radio.
The following steps describe how to set up media sharing in Windows Media Player 11.
1. In Windows Media Player 11, click the small arrow below the Library tab, and then click Media
Sharing.
2. In the Media Sharing dialogue box, select the Share my media check box.
Check the “share my media to” box. In the list, click your Radio *, click Allow, the selected device will
show a green tick and then click OK.
* If your device does not appear in the list of devices, perform the following steps on your radio;
Press , and then press or to <Media Center>, press to confirm, a list of available
computers will appearSelect the required computer.
Your device will appear in your WMP11 list. If you want to check that this is your Radio, right click on
the device and select “Properties”: your Radio's MAC address will be shown.

Step 2: Play Music on the Internet Radio
After installing and configuring your Radio and Windows Media Player 11, you are now ready to play
music via a wireless connection.
The following steps describe how to play music with your Radio.
1. Press to convert it from internet radio mode to UPnP mode. Or
Press , and then press or to <Media Center>, press to confirm, following is:
2. Press to confirm to enter UPnP.
3. Press or to select the computer you wish to play the music files from.
4. Press or to view the following criteria: All Music, Genre, All Artists, Contributing Artists,
Album Artists, Composers, Albums, Playlists, Folders or Star Ratings and then press to confirm.
5. Select the tracks you want to play, and then press to confirm. Enjoy the music!

Note: Doing this order will allow you:

Note: before you set Date and time, welcome to setting below items according to your personal preference.

3. While cursor point to <Set Date and Time>, press to confirm.
4. Press or to update the Month, and then press to choose update Date, using the same
method to set the Years, Hours and Minutes in turn.
5. After the setting is updated, press to confirm, and it is done!

Setting Alarm
A. Setting Alarm 1 or Alarm 2
1. To get alarm setting mode, you can press the ALARM button directly, or follow below 2 steps:
a) Press , and then press or to <Configuration>, press to confirm.
b) Press or to <Alarm>, press to confirm.
2. Press or to <Alarm Volume>, press to confirm, and then press or to adjust
alarm volume level, press to confirm.
3. Press or to pick the alarm you wanted, press to confirm, it will ask you to set alarm states
Turn On or Turn Off.
4. Press or to Turn on, press to confirm, the alarm icon shows up, and it will ask you to
set alarm repeat frequency.
5. While cursor point to < Repeat: Everyday >, press to confirm.
6. Press or to check if your preferred option have got a tick before it, if it havent got a
yet, press to get for it.
7. Press to return, and then press to <Time: 12:00AM>, press to confirm.

8. Press or to update the hour, and then press to update minute.
9. Using the same method to set minutes and AM/PM in turn, after the setting have completed, press
to confirm.
10. Press to <Sound: Melody>, press to confirm.
11. Press or to your preferred alarm sound, press to confirm. until now, the setting is done.
To deactivate the Alarm, when alarm is coming, radio will goes into standby and sounding, there
are 2 situations for you to handle it:
1. Press to postpone it for 5 minutes, and radio will count down, it will sound again after it
finished counting. Or
2. Press any other button to turn it off.
You can break standby mode by pressing .
To cancel Alarm, you need three steps:
i. Press the ALARM button to enter alarm setting mode.
ii. Press or to your target alarm, press to confirm.
iii. Press or to Turn Off, press to confirm, and it is done.
B. Setting nap Alarm
1. Press , and then press or to <Configuration>, press to confirm.
2. Press or to <Alarm>, press to confirm.
3. Press or to <NAP Alarm (Turn Off)>, press to confirm.
4. Press or to view, in which you can find 5/10/20/30/60/90/120minutes available, press to
confirm your favour one, and relative minutes later, it should sound alarm, the principle of how to turn
it off same as the way of how to turn off alarm1 and alarm 2.
Note: Alarm volume level can be adjust to your desired level before turning OFF the unit, and stored it in
memory, if you set Volume level to min., when alarm is coming, perhaps you wont hear it.
