What to Expect with Your Installation
w.1 - To reduce the risk of re, electrical shock, or personal injury,
mount fan directly from building structure and/or an outlet
box marked acceptable for fan support of 31.8 kg and use the
mounting screws provided with the outlet box.
w.2 - To avoid possible electrical shock, before installing or
servicing your fan, disconnect the power by turning off the circuit
breakers to the outlet box and associated wall switch location. If
you cannot lock the circuit breakers in the off position, securely
fasten a prominent warning device, such as a tag, to the service
panel.
w.3 - To reduce the risk of re, electrical shock, or motor damage,
use only Hunter Solid State Speed Controls.
w.4 - To reduce the risk of personal injury, do not bend the blade
brackets when installing the blade brackets, balancing the blades, or
cleaning the fan. Do not insert foreign objects in between rotating fan
blades.
w.5 - This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or
people with a lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have
received instructions regarding the use of the device or under the
supervision of a person responsible for their safety.
w.6 - It is recommended that children be supervised to ensure that
they are not using the appliance improperly
c.1 - All wiring must be in accordance with national and local
electrical codes ANSI/NFPA 70. If you are unfamiliar with wiring, use a
qualied electrician.
c.2 - Use only Hunter replacement parts.

Remove the shipping blocks from the
motor. Save the screws. They will be
needed for blade iron installation.
Note: Some fans will have a shipping
ring instead of shipping blocks. Please
remove the ring and save the screws.
Time Saver Tip: Get a helper
to insert grommets, found in
the hardware bag, into the
blades while you’re doing the
next couple of steps.

Blades
Your blades are shielded with Dust Armor® which
is a nanotechnology coating that repels dust. For
cleaning the fan, use soft brushes or cloths to prevent
scratching. Cleaning agents may damage the nishes.
Insert grommets, found in the hardware
bag, into the holes in the blades, then
secure each blade to a blade iron with
screws found in the hardware bag.
Remember the screws that
you kept after removing the
shipping blocks (page 6)? You
need them for this step.
Lightly attach the blade irons to the
motor with the blade iron armature
screws, then securely tighten after both
screws are attached.
Note: You need ten screws to complete
this step. Additional screws might be
found in the hardware bag.

Make sure the upper switch housing is securely
attached to the mounting plate. Failure to properly
secure all 3 assembly screws could result in the switch
housing xture falling.
Switch Housing
Feed the wire plug through the center
hole of the upper switch housing, then
wrap keyhole slots around the screws and
twist counterclockwise.
Align the screw holes in the switch
housing gasket and the motor housing.
Screw two switch housing assembly
screws from the hardware bag halfway
into the motor housing. It does not matter
which two screw holes you choose.
Insert the third screw, found in
the hardware bag, into place and then
tighten all three screws.

Light Kit
Install a 14W CFL bulb (sold separately) into
the E27 socket. When necessary, replace with
bulb of same wattage.
To reinstall the globe assembly, align the posts on
the globe assembly with the holes in the shroud.
Make sure that the chain holes in the globe
assembly also line up with the chain holes in the
shroud. Lift the globe and posts until the threaded
end of the posts are visible through the shroud.
Install the three acorn nuts onto the posts so that
the light kit is secured to the shroud.
Make sure the globe assembly is securely attached to the
shroud. Failure to properly secure all three acorn nuts could
result in the light xture falling.

Make sure the lower switch housing is securely attached to
the upper switch housing. Failure to properly secure all three
assembly screws could result in the light xture falling.

YOU’RE DONE!
See next page for fan
operation instructions.
Feed the chains from the fan and the light
switch down through the holes in the shroud.
Connect the appropriate pull chain pendant
to each of the short chains coming from the
nial and nial cap. The fan pull chain controls
the speed: from high to off. The light pull
chain controls the light xture: on and off.
