AcuPearl PET MKIII

The AcuPearl PET MKIII is a non-invasive electronic device specifically developed for use with pets, especially dogs and cats. It has a range of features designed to help with stress, anxiety, fear, and depression, as well as enhance general well-being and counteract the effects of electromagnetic pollution (EMF).

The device utilizes safe, ultra-low-level pulsed magnetic fields (PEMFs) designed to resonate with the natural magnetic signals in the animal's body. It offers two categories of well-being programs:

  1. Automated Background Programs run 24/7 to reduce stress and anxiety, aid with depression, counteract fears, generally aid well-being, and help with EMF pollution.

PET MkIII - User Guide
The Pet unit is a non-invasive electronic device specifically developed for use with pets and
especially dogs and cats. It is designed to offers the capacity to ease stress, aid anxiety
calm fear, lift depression, enhance general wellbeing and counteract the effects of
electromagnetic pollution (EMF). It has a boost program designed to calm stress and ease
anxiety.
The device utilises safe, ultra-low-level pulsed magnetic fields designed to resonate with
the natural magnetic signals in the animals body.
This user guide explains the use and operation of the Pet unit.

About the Device
The Pet unit offers two categories of wellbeing programs:
Automated Background programs programs that run automatically during the day
and night (24/7). These are designed to reduce stress and anxiety, aid with depression,
counteract fears, generally aid wellbeing and help with EMF pollution. To indicate the
automatic programs are active the center yellow activity light will glow for a couple of
seconds once per minute.
Manual Boost program a program that can be activated when required and provides
the potential to calm the animal when stress or agitated.
All features are accessed via the single button on the control panel.
Mounting
The mounting ring can be used to attach the unit to the ring on an animals
collar. The mounting ring can be removed from the unit and replaced with
a different ring if required. It is advised to mount the unit directly to the
collar ring keeping it close to the collar. If the unit is mounted so it dangles
at some distance from the collar then it is more susceptible to being
nocked and thrown around when the animal shakes its head.
User Boost Program
The Pet unit provides one selectable boost program that is activated by pressing the button
and provides a Calming effect for stress and anxiety and runs for 12 minutes and
automatically switches of after that. While it is active the first red program indicator light and
the central yellow light pulsate together.
The user program can be stopped at any stage by pressing the button and at which point
the central and indicator light will go out.
Using the Unit
The unit is intended to be kept on the pet twenty-four hours a day. Background programs
run every few hours and have a seven-day cycle so it takes a week for a full set of
programs to be completed. The programs will then start again for the next week.
3
Battery Charge Level
To show the battery level press and hold in the button on the front panel until the yellow
battery light shows along with a number of red lights. The number of red lights indicates the
battery charge:
4 red lights = fully charged
3 red lights = good level of charge
2 red lights = medium level of charge
1 red light = low charge
Yellow battery light flashing = discharged
After a couple of seconds of indicating the battery level all the lights will go out.
NOTE: If the battery is left in a discharged state then the unit will go into hibernation mode
and the background programs no longer run. When the button is pressed, depending on the
battery depletion level, the battery light may flash a few times or will not come on at all. The
user boost program will not start. It is necessary to recharge the unit to make it active again.
Putting the Unit into Sleep Mode
When the unit is not being used it can be put into sleep mode to save the battery charge.
To put the unit into sleep mode press and hold in the button until the battery level is shown,
then keep pressing the button until all the red indicator lights come on and then go out one
at time in a counter clockwise direction, then release the button. While in sleep mode all the
background programs are stopped. To wake the unit from sleep press and hold in the
button until the red indicator lights come on one at a time in a clockwise direction and then
release the button. The background programs will then operate normally.
Charging the Battery
The built in rechargeable battery is charged by
inserting a micro USB lead into the socket in the
side of the unit and connecting the other end to a
USB charger or USB port on a computer. To open
the USB port dust cover insert a small screwdriver
into the grove as shown and gently lever it open.
When charging the yellow battery light on the front
panel is illuminated and stays illuminated for as long
as the charger is attached.
To check the battery level during charging it is best
to disconnect the charging lead, wait a few moments
and then hold in the button on the front panel until
the battery light shows. A fully charged battery (four red lights) gives at least a month’s use.
It is recommended to charge the unit until it is fully charged (four red lights).
The time required to charge the battery will depend on how discharged it is. If the battery
level is at two red lights then a full charge takes around 7 hours. If the battery is fully
discharged (flashing battery light) then a soak charge of 20 hours is recommended.
4
If the unit is going to remain unused for several months then it is recommended to fully
charge it, put it into sleep mode and give it a recharge every six months to preserve the
battery. If the battery is left fully discharged for an extended time then it may start to
deteriorate.
Therapeutic action
The Pet unit delivers two primary therapeutic actions:
Pulsed Electromagnetic Fields (PEMF) – a well-proven and accepted therapeutic
technology using low frequency, short duration, low intensity magnetic pulses to
stimulate the body. Multiple studies have shown the benefits of well-targeted PEMF to be
both positive and wide ranging including: accelerated tissue repair, pain relief, improved
inflammation response, improved sleep, accelerated bone repair and much more.
Adaptive Resonance an advanced approach that adds resonant signature patterns
within the magnetic fields to provide targeted action and potency to the PEMF effect.
Adaptive Resonance enables the therapeutic programs to resonate with specific aspects
of the body’s adaption and regulation systems as well as acupuncture meridians. This
allows for precise tailoring of the programs’ action.
How Often to Use the User Boost Program
The Calm boost program can be used as and when needed and can be used several times
in succession if required.
Using Automatic Background Programs
The background programs are designed to offer a gentle, steady and holistic action to ease
stress, anxiety and fear, aid depression and enhance general wellbeing over weeks and
months.
The ultimate aim is to experience a better state of wellbeing without the continual aid of the
device. It is suggested that the unit is removed for a day or two every now and again and to
gradually extend the periods without the device.
Precautions of use
Use on animals only and is not intended for human use.
If the pet has a medical condition please consult a health care professional before use.
The unit is environmentally sealed and will tolerate being wet and submerged in a
few inches of water for short periods but if the animal is going to swim then it is
recommended to remove the unit before hand.
The unit is tolerant of shock loads but do not subject it to excessive loads or constant
vibration.
Its operating temperature range is -5°C to +40°C.
Clean with a damp cloth only - do not use chemicals.
Only charge the unit from a standard USB charger outlet.
