Operating Manual

Thank you for choosing the Accura Athena electronic kitchen scale. To ensure proper

operation and to maintain the lifespan and the utmost accuracy of the scale, please read

these instructions carefully before use.

1. Key features

• Capacity 10kg/10000ml/11lbs/352 fl oz

• Graduation 1g/1ml/0.1oz/0.1fl oz

• Can hang on the wall or stand on a benchtop

• Liquid measurement for water and milk

• Tare function

• 2 x 1.5V AAA batteries included

• Low battery power / overload indication

2. Operation instructions

• Open the battery door at the back of the scale, and remove the plastic isolators on

the batteries.

To switch on & to set time

1. Install battery and enter time setting mode automatically.

When hour display is flashing, touch to set

hour. Please mind AM/PM selection during setting.

2. Press to confirm and prompt to minute setting. When

minute display is flashing, touch to set minute.

3. Press to finish time setting and enter weighing mode.

To re-set time

Under real time display mode, press for 3 seconds to enter time setting mode.

Set hour first, then minute. Touch to adjust time and for

confirmation. (Touch & Hold will speed up the advance of value)

Remark: In time setting process, return to real time display automatically after idling for 60 seconds.

To start weighing

Weighing mode

A. Place the scale on a solid and flat surface.

B. Gently touch by hand to wait until LCD shows “0”.

C. If LCD shows weighing mode, please enter to Step D directly.

If LCD shows volume mode, please Touch & Hold to convert to

weighing mode, and then enter Step D.

D. Load weighing object on scale (or bowl) to start weighing, LCD will show the

weighing reading.

E. Place bowl (if used) on the scale and tare the reading before weighing.

2. Volume indication mode

A. Place the scale on a solid and flat surface

B. Gently touch by hand to wait until LCD

shows “0”

C. Touch & Hold to convert to Water or

Milk mode.

(Refers to mode setting specifically)

D. Put a liquid container onto the scale platform, LCD

shows the weight of container

E. Touch to reset “0” and tare.

F. Pour liquid (water or milk into the container, LCD

shows the volume of the liquid.

G. Touch & Hold to convert to weighing

mode, and check the weight of liquid.

Unit & mode setting

If the scale is with both measuring systems of Metric (g,kg) and Imperial (oz, lb),

you can press ”unit” convert between two systems during the course of weighing:

1. Press shortly to convert weight unit between Metric and Imperial systems.

2. Touch & Hold for 3 seconds to enter mode setting and convert between

weighing mode and volume mode (water or milk).

Imperial system:

Remark: The unit system of scale depends on sales destination or the requirement

of distributor.

Zero or tare function

To weigh different loads consecutively without removing loads from the scale. Put

first load on the scale get weight reading. Touch button to reset the

LCD reading to “0” before adding next load. You can repeat this operation.

Condition 1: “ZERO” function

When total sum of all loads on scale ≤ 4%

LCD will show “-----“ or “0g” each time

is touch.

“-----“ means not stable, please wait for a moment.

“0g” and meanwhile an icon “ ” on upper left

corner of LCD mean “ZERO” function is active.

Max. Weight capacity remains unchanged.

Condition 2: “TARE” function

When total sum of all loads on scale > 4%

LCD will show “-----“ or “0g” each time

is touch.

“-----“ means not stable, please wait for a moment.

“0g” and meanwhile an icon “ ” on upper left

corner of LCD mean “TARE” function is active.

Max. Weight capacity reduced by total weight of all

loads.

3. Care

• If the screen reads “Lo” the scale will turn off after a few seconds and please replace

the battery.

• If the screen reads “Err”, the scale is overloaded. Remove the last item.

• Wipe the surface of the scale with a damp cloth and dry before and after each use.

• Do not immerse in water and do not use any detergents

• Do not leave the scale in a damp or steamy environment

• The scale is for domestic use only and is not legal for trade.

• If the scale is not being used for a long period, please remove the battery.
