Handling Precautions
CAUTION
- Do not apply pressing force on the top of cover.
- Do not cover the breathing hole on the top cover.
- The system is responsible for providing sufficient air movement to maintain surface temperatures
below 82°C on the top cover
- Do not touch the interface connector pins and the surface of printed circuit board.
- Hard disk is precision instruments. Be extremely careful in handling during and after assembly.
- Hard disk can malfunction when it is subjected to electrostatic discharge (ESD) or physical shock.
Handle with care so that antistatic measures are taken in advance and do avoid shock.
- Be sure to turn off the power of the unit when plugging in or unplugging interface connectors.
- Use the mounting screws (M3x5 with sw, w : for screwing the base) provided with the product.
Longer screws may damage the interior of the product.
- CONTEC bears absolutely no responsibility for use if modified hard disk.
- Excessive vibration or impact greater than its specification, if this hard disk is subjected to, might
cause a fatal error that is not recoverable.
- Service life of the drive is approximately 5 years or 15,000 power on hours, whichever comes first.
These are the standard values when the environmental and operational conditions specified in page 3
are observed and are not the guaranteed values.
