FIRMWARE UTILITY SETTINGS
This document describes all available rmware settings for MIXON 4 which
can be set on the device itself.
MODES & SETTINGS:
1. LED Check Mode
2. Firmware Version Check
3. En-/Disable LED Stand-by Sequence
4. Activate Vegas mode (LED Demo Mode)
5. Firmware Update Mode
6. Adjust LED back lit intensity
7. Adjust crossfader CUT-IN
Before launching any rmware mode, please disconnect the USB or iOS
cable, otherwise the set state may not be displayed properly.
Each rmware setting mode can be entered by holding a dedicated button
while powering on the unit. To save and exit a mode, power off the unit.

1. LED CHECK MODE
Turn on all LEDs:
Press and hold the PLAY-button while
powering on the unit
Each LED is now being illuminated. By
pressing any LED back lit button, the LED
can be turned on and off to check the re-
sponsiveness.
2. FIRMWARE VERSION CHECK
Before you update your rmware, you can check whether the rmware version is already installed on the unit before proceeding. In case
the displayed rmware version matches the downloaded rmware, no update is necessary.
Press and hold the CUE-button while powering on the unit
One lit LED of the left Master VU-Meter represents a step of 10.
One lit LED on the right VU-Meter represents a step of 1.
In the example on the left the current shown values represent 19.
One lit LED on the left drum pad section represents a step of 10.
One lit LED on the right drum pad section represents a step of 1.
In the example on the left the current shown values represent 13.
The current installed rmware is v1913.

3. EN-/DISABLE LED STANDBY SEQUENCE
The standby sequence will start by default, if there is no
operation for 10 minutes. When any control element is
moved or pressed the demo mode will stop.
Press and hold the SYNC button while powering on
the unit
As the standby sequence is ON by default, carrying out
the button combination above will disable the standby
sequence.
4. ACTIVATE VEGAS MODE (LED DEMO MODE)
The Vegas mode can be used for product presentations
or shop display.
Press and hold the SHIFT button while powering on
the unit
The Vegas LED sequence will start to run.
5. FIRMWARE UDPATE MODE
When a rmware update is available, the unit must enter
rmware update mode before proceeding with the up-
date. Otherwise the updater program cannot connect to
the unit.
Press and hold the BACK button while powering on
the unit
Both Jog Wheels will light up blue. Please refer to the in-
structions (readme.txt) found in the rmware .zip le. The
Jog Wheels will start blinking blue during the update.
When the update has been carried out successfully,
please power on the unit again.

6. ADJUST LED BACKLIT INTENSITY
All button LEDs have a backlight feature to ensure best performance and
visibility in dark environments.
Press and hold the BROWSE
encoder while powering on
the unit
Turning the BROWSE encoder
will adjust the LED intensity in
real time.
Press the BROWSE encoder to
save the new value.
7. ADJUST CROSSFADER CUT-IN
The crossfader CUT-IN (cut lag) can be adjusted on both sides of the crossfader in in-
crements of 0.1mm.
Press and hold the (FX-)TAP button while powering on the unit
The CUT-IN (cut lag) can be adjusted by turning the BROWSE encoder. The current value is
displayed by the VU-Meter.
One lit LED on the left VU-Meter indicates 1mm.
One lit LED on the right VU-Meter indicates 0.1 mm
In the example on the right the current set cut lag is 1.9 mm:
Press the BROWSE encoder to save the new value.
The default value is 1 mm.
