• Before use please verify that the mains voltage is the same as indicated on the rating plate of the

appliance.

• Alwaysremovetheplugfromthesocketwhentheapplianceisnotinuse.

Removetheplugfromthewallsocketbypullingtheplug,notthepowercord.

• Checktheappliance’spowercordregularlytomakesureitisnotdamaged.Donotusetheapplianceif

thepowercordisdamaged.Haveadamagedpowercordreplacedbyaqualifiedrepairservice.

• Whenusinganextensionleadalwaysmakesurethattheentirecableisunwoundfromthereel.

• Usesolelyapprovedextensionleads.

• Avoidstumblingovertheextensionleadorpowercord.

• Makesuretheairventsarenotcoveredorblocked.

• Makesurethattheappliance,thepowercordortheplugdonotmakecontactwithheatsources,such

asahothobornakedflame.

Makesurethattheappliance,thepowercordandplugdonotmakecontactwithwater.

• Neverusetheapplianceoutdoors.

• Neverusetheapplianceinahumidroom.

Makesurethatyourhandsaredrybeforetouchingtheappliance,powercordorplug.

• Takecarewhenfittingthefilter.Donotusetheapplianceifthefilterisdamagedorfittedincorrectly;this

coulddamagetheappliance.

• Donotusetheappliancetosuckupthefollowingobjects:

 • glowingorburningobjects

 • glasssplintersorothersharpobjects

 • residuesofplaster,cement,stone,soot,andsimilar

 • liquids,ormoistdirt.

 Theseobjectscouldcauseseriousdamagetotheapplianceandthefiltersystem,andmakeitunsafeto

use.

• Donotusethevacuumcleaneronwetrugsandcarpets.

• Neverinsertobjectsintheair-exhaustvents.

• Makesurethatthesuctionandexhaustopeningsareopen,andthatthefilterisnotblocked.Blockages

will cause the appliance to overheat. Switch off the vacuum cleaner immediately! Once you have

remediedtheproblem,wait20to30minutestoallowthevacuumcleanertocooldowncompletely.Itwill

thenbereadyforuseagain.

• Keepthenozzleandthetubesawayfromthebodywhilethevacuumcleanerisrunning.Thiscould

causeseriousinjury,forexampletotheeyesorears.

• Neverrolltheapplianceoverthecord.

• Switchofftheapplianceandremovetheplugfromthewallsocketintheeventofamalfunctionduring

use,andbeforeemptyingtheappliance,cleaningtheappliance,fittingorremovinganaccessory,or

storingtheapplianceafteruse.

• Donotpickuptheapplianceifitfallsintowater.Removetheplugfromthewallsocketimmediately.Do

notusetheapplianceanymore.

• Neverimmersetheappliance,thepowercordorthepluginwaterorotherliquid.Afterwashingthefilters

makesuretheyarethoroughlydrybeforereturningthemtotheappliance.

OPERATION

1. Pushthehoseintothehoseconnectiononthe

motorunit(seefigure2A).Toremovethehose,

pushthetwobuttonsandpullitoutofthehose

connection.

2. Thepowercordhasayellowandredmark(see

figure2B).Pulloutthecordtotheyellowmark.

Neverpulloutthe powercordbeyondthe red

mark.Thiscoulddamagethepowercord.

3. Puttheplugin the wallsocket,andpressthe

On/Offswitch.Toswitchofftheappliance,press

theOn/Offswitchagain(seefigure2C).

4. Theapplianceisnowreadyforuse.Youcanmovethevacuumcleanerwhileyouarecleaningbypulling

onthehosegrip.Youcanlifttheappliancewiththevacuumcleaner’shandle(seefigure2E).

5. Youcanadjustthevacuumsuctionwiththevacuumsuctioncontrol(seefigure2D).Itisadvisableto

reducethevacuumsuctionwhencleaningupholsteredfurnitureandcurtains.Thiswillpreventthefabric

frombeingsuckedintothenozzle.

Note Ifsorequired,youcanalsoreducethesuctionquicklybymovingtheslideonthehosegrip.

6. Slidebothtubesintoeachother(seefigure3A).

7. Slidethehosehandleintothetube(seefigure

 3B).

8. Pressthefoot buttononthenozzle tosetthe

combinozzleforuseonhardorsoftsurfaces,

(seefigure3C).Foruseonhardsurfaces,press

thefootbutton onthecombinozzle toextend

the brushes. Lift the button for use on soft

surfaces.

ACCESSORIES

Thisvacuumcleanerissuppliedwithonecombined

accessory:

 • acrevicetoolwithanarrownozzle,which

you can use to clean radiators, window

frames, crevices, small openings, and

similar;

 • adustingbrush,whichyoucanusetoclean

delicate or irregular surfaces, furniture,

Venetianblinds,andsimilar.

OPERATION - Storage after use

1. Removetheplugfromthewallsocket.

2. Presstherewindbuttonandkeepitpressedin;

the power cord will automatically rewind onto

thereel.

Guidethepowercordwhilstitrewindsontothe

reel, since otherwise the cord could become

tangledortheplugcouldstrikethebackofthe

appliance.Takeholdofthepowercordnearthe

mark,andallowittogentlyslidethroughyourfingersbackintotheappliance,seeFigure5.

3. Anattachmentslotfortheaccessorybracketis

fitted to the back of the vacuum cleaner next

to the front castor (see Figure 6). Slide the

bottom of the accessory bracket into the slot.

Thisavoidstheneedtodismantlethevacuum

cleanerafteruse;youcanstoretheassembled

applianceandretrieveitagainquicklywhenyou

needit.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE - Cleaning the housing

1. Removetheplugfromthewallsocket.

2. Cleantheoutersurfaceofallpartswithadampclothandacleanersuitableforplastics.

3. Overthecourseoftimedustanddirtcanaccumulatearoundthewheelaxles,therebypreventingthe

 wheelsfromturningeasily.Consequentlytheyshouldbekeptclean.

• Neverimmersetheappliance,plugorpowercordinwater.

 • Neverusecorrosiveorscouringcleaningagentsorsharpobjects(suchasknivesorhardbrushes)

  tocleantheappliance.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE - Removing waste from the dust receptacle

1. Removetheplugfromthewallsocket.

2. Removethehose.

3. Remove the dust receptacle by pressing the

release button on the dust receptacle (see

figure 7A) and pulling on the receptacle, and

holditaboveawaste-bin.

4. Pressthebutton toopenthebottom flap(see

figure7B+C).

5. If so required, use your hand to remove any

wastestickingtothereceptacle.

6. Closethebottom flap,andpressuntil itclicks

intoplace.

7. Fitthedustreceptacleontotheappliance,andclickitintoposition.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE - Cleaning or replacing the filter

Forbestresultscleanorreplacethefilteraftereverysecondorthirduseofthevacuumcleaner,ormore

frequentlyifthefilterisvisiblyblocked.

Cleanthefilterregularlytoavoidthatthefilterbecomescloggedandtheengineoverheated.

1. Removethewastefromthedustreceptacle(see

“Removingwastefromthedustreceptacle”).

2. Openthefilterlid.(A)

3. Takethedustseparationsystemfromthedust

container(B+C).

4. Takethefiltersfromthedustseparationsystem

(D).

5. Rinseallfiltersandthedustseparationsystem

thoroughlyinlukewarmwater.

6. Allowthefilterstodrythoroughly.

7. Mount the holders and filters in the reverse

sequence.

Pleasenote:Donotlockthesecondfilter(C)tothedustreceptacle.Thishappensautomaticallywhen

youplacebackandlockthelid(A).

• Watercouldpenetrateintotheapplianceifthefilterisnotthoroughlydry.Thiscouldresultin 

  (electrical)damage.

 • Donotcleanthefilterinawashingmachine.

 • Donotdrythefilterwithahairdryer.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE - Cleaning or replacing the exhaust filter

Replacetheexhaustfilteratleasttwiceayear,andmorefrequentlyifthefilterisvisiblyblocked.

1. Removetheplugfromthewallsocket.

2. Openthecoveroftheexhaustfilterwheelcap

by turning it to the left. Pull the exhaust filter

fromthedevice,seefigure9.

3. Rinsethefilterinlukewarmwater.Allowittodry

thoroughly.

4. Returnthecleanedfiltertotheappliance.Close

thecover,andturnrightuntilitclicksintoplace.

Watercouldpenetrateintotheapplianceifthe

filtersarenotthoroughlydry.Thiscouldresultin

(electrical)damage.

• Disposeofpackagingmaterial,suchasplasticandboxes,intheappropriatewastecontainers.

 • Whenthisproductreachestheendofitsusefullifedonotdisposeofitbyputtingitinadustbin;

handitinatacollectionpointforthereuseofelectricalandelectronicequipment.Pleaserefertothe

symbolsontheproduct,theuser’sinstructionsorthepackaging.

 • Thematerialscanbere-used as indicated.Yourhelpinthe re-use, recycling orothermeansof

makinguseofoldelectricalequipmentwillmakeanimportantcontributiontotheprotectionofthe

environment.

GUARANTEE TERMS

Theimporterguaranteestheapplianceagainstdefectscausedbymanufacturingand/ormaterialfaultsfor

60monthsfromthedateofpurchase,subjecttothefollowingconditions.

1. Nochargeswillbemadeforlabourcostsormaterialsduringthewarrantyperiod.Anyrepairscarriedout

duringthewarrantyperioddonotextendthewarrantyperiod.

2. Theimporterautomaticallybecomestheownerofanyfaultypartsthathereplacesorafaultyappliance

(intheeventofreplacementoftheappliance).

3. Allclaimssubmittedunderwarrantymustbeaccompaniedbytheoriginalbillofsale.

4. Claimsunderwarrantymustbesubmittedtothedealerwheretheappliancewaspurchasedortothe

importer.

5. Thewarrantyisissuedsolelytothefirstpurchaserandcannotbetransferred.

6. Thewarrantydoesnotcoverdamagecausedby:

 a. Accidents,incorrectuse,wearand/orneglect.

 b. Faulty installation and/or use in a manner contravening the prevailing legal, technical or safety

regulations.

 c. Connectiontoamainsvoltageotherthanthevoltagespecifiedonthetypeplate.

 d. Unauthorizedmodifications.

 e. Repairscarriedoutbythirdparties.

 f. Carelesstransport,i.e.withoutsuitablepackagingmaterialsorprotection.

7. Noclaimsmaybemadeunderthiswarrantyfor:

 a. Lossesincurredduringtransport.

 b. Theremovalorchangingoftheappliance’sserialnumber.

8. Theguaranteedoesnotcoverpowercords,lampsorglassparts.

9. Noclaimscanbesubmittedunderthiswarrantyfordamageotherthantherepairorreplacementoffaulty

parts.Theimportercanneverbeheldresponsibleforanyconsequentiallossordamageoranyother

consequences,resultingeitherdirectlyorindirectlyfromtheappliancesuppliedbytheimporter.

10.In case of claims under guarantee you can contact your dealer where the appliance is purchased.

BestronoffersyoualsothepossibilitytosendtheappliancedirectlytoourServiceDepartment.Donot

sendyourappliancewithoutconsultingus.Thepackagemayberefusedandanyanycostswillbefor

youraccount.PleasecontacttheServiceDepartmentandtheywilltellyouhowtopackandsendthe

appliance.
