If the purchaser or a third party carries out modifications or repairs on goods delivered by Barco, or if the goods

• Secu rity Updates: Content providers are using the digital rights management technology (“Microsoft

DRM”) contained in this SOFTWARE to protect the integrity of their content (“Secure Content”) so that their

intellectual property, including copyright, in such content is not misappropriated. Owners of such Secure

Content (“Secure Content Owners”) may, from time to time, request MS, Microsoft Corporation or their

subsidiaries to provide security related updates to the Microsoft DRM components of the SOFTWARE

(“Security Updates”) tha t may affect your ability to copy, display and/or play Secure Content t hro ug h

Microsoft software or t hird party applications that utilize Microsoft DRM. You therefore agree that, if you

elect to download a license from the Internet which enables your use of Secure Content, MS, Microsoft

In the front configuration, one projector is set in table mode and the other in ceiling

mode. This is done for optimal geometrical alignment.

3.2 Connections Setup

VR Workroom Setup

To allow the VR Workroom to work, a few connections are pre-cabled :

• Control link : RS232 link between the Master and the Slave projector. Note that the R S232 port of the

server is connected to the RS232 port of the projector.

• Synchronization link : Both projectors must communicate i.e. they must be connected to each other

with a crossed cable (delivered). Note that the IP addresses are set automatically.

• Desktop link : DVI link between the Master and the Slave projector

The above setup (projectors next to each other) is only done to show the connections

setup. This does not correspond to the real positioning of the projectors.

Always check that these connections are present and working. The VR workroom will

not operate if the connections are not working.

Typical setup

• A stereo source : left channel connected to the Layer1 RGB input of the Slave projector and the right

This setup is only an example, the iCon allows multiple input possibilities. See the own-

ers manual for more detail.

The above setup (projectors next to each other) is only done to show the connections

setup. This does not correspond to the real positio

ning of the projectors.

In a front configuration the Master projector is the projector visible through the glass

bottom part.

In a rear configuration the Master projector is the bottom projector.

4.1 Start up

CAUTION: In case the VR Workroom system is connected to an external control inter-

face i.e. via RS232, it is only allowed to control it with the ON/OFF commands (starting

up and shutting down the projectors ).

No other sets of commands will be used. Using other commands than ON/OFF will not

guarantee proper functioning of the VR Workroom system !

2 start up methods

Thereare2waystostartupthesystem:

• Start up using the Keyboard : this is the recommended method

• Start up using the Remote Control Unit (RCU)

How to power up the projector ?

1. On the slave projector, switch the power switch to “1”

How to start up the VR Workroom using the keybo ard (recommended method) ?

1. Press the Esc button on the keyboard (connected to the master)

Note that the startup happens in 2 steps : the Master projector starts up and starts up

the Slave (via RS232). During the boot sequence the Slave projector’s desktop control

is taken over by the Master projector.

How to start up the V R Workroom using the RCU ?

1. Press the standby button on the RCU

CAUTION: The Remote Control Unit (RCU) is set up to control the Master projector only

! The commands sent by the Remote Control are received by the Master only

change the address of the Remote.

Always direct the RCU towards the Master (transparent bottom part of the system)
