Twopersonsarerecommendedtoassemblethetreadmill.Toavoidback
strain,andtoensuresafetytotheunitandyourself,wesuggestyouavoid
liftingtherunningbedassemblyfrombox.
Instead,laythetreadmilldown,dropthesidesoftheboxandslidethe
treadmillfromthecontainerratherthanliftingit.
Thepackingforthistreadmillwasdesignedtoprotectitduring
shipment,pleasestoretheoriginalpackaginginasafeplaceincase
youneedtoshiptheunitinthefuture.

StepByStepInstructions
Whenyouremovethetreadmillfromitsbox,firstchecktomakesurealloftheparts
arepresent.Then,readthroughtheassemblyinstructionsbeforeyoubegin.
1.Laythetreadmillonitsside.Makesuretherunningbeltisinpositioninthetracks
oftheBeltAlignmentGuidesontheundersideofthemachine.(seeFig.1).
2.Insertthetwofrontpostsintotheirrespectivesocketsandsecurewithfourbolts
andwashersprovidedoneachside.(seeFig.2).

Next,attachthebottomofthehandrailswithhandrailclampstothetreadmill
framesecurewithoneboltoneachside.Then,tightentheupperhandrailsbolts
securely.
Ifyourtreadmillisequippedwithhandtouchrate,pleaseconnectbothwires(see
Fig.3-1)oneachhandrailsfirstly.
Thenassemblethesidehandrailsusingtwoboltsandwashersprovidedoneach
side.DONOTTIGHTENYET.
Next,attachthebottomofthehandrailswithhandrailclampstothetreadmill
frame,securewithoneboltoneachside.Finally,tightentheupperhandrailsbolts
securely.(seeFig.3-1)

DONOTSTANDONTHEBELTWHENSTARTING.Straddlethebelt
withyourfeetontherightandleftstagingplatforms.
Thesafetykeyisrequiredtooperatethetreadmill.Thesafetykeyshouldbeusedas
anemergencystopbyclippingthecordtoyourexerciseclothing.Besuretoremove
theSafetyKeyfromyourexerciseclothingafteryouhavefinishedyourworkout,and
placeittothekeypositionforyourconvenienceorstoreinasafeplace
tovoidusebychildrenorpersonsunfamiliarwiththistreadmill.
Turnonthepowerswitchlocatedonthefrontofthetreadmill.Placethesafetykey
intothe"SAFETYKEY"positionontheelectronicspackageinorderfortheunitto
function.
Assoonasyouturnonthemachine,placetheSAFETYKEYintothe"SAFETY
KEY"positionontheelectronicspackage.ThespeedLEDwillflash,pressthe
SPEEDkeytostartthetreadmill,andtheINCLINEkeystoraiseorlowerthe
treadmill.
SPEED:Usethespeedkeytoadjustyourdesiredspeed.Thespeed
rangeforthetreadmillisfrom0.1-11mph(0.2-18kph).Pressthe
speedkeytoincreasethespeedandpressthespeedkeyto
decreasethespeed.
INCLINE:UsetheINCLINEkeytoraiseorlowerthetreadmill.Theincline
rangeforthetreadmillisfrom0%-15%.
TIME:TherangeavailableinTIMEmodeis00:00-99:00minutes.UsetheTIME
tosetthedesiredtime.TheelectronicspackagewillBEEPfor10seconds
whenyourdesiredtimeisreached,thenwillstarttocountupifyouworkout
continues.Eachpressofthekeychangethetimeby1minute.
DISTANCE:Thedistanceofthetreadmillwillregistergoesfrom0-99.99milesor0-
99.00kilometers.Usethetosetthedesireddistance.

1.Plugthetreadmillintoastandardoutlet.Turnonthepowerswitchlocatedonthe
frontofthemachine.
2.Straddlethebeltwithyourfeetontherightandleftstagingplatforms.Placethe
safetykeyonthe"SAFETYKEY"positionoftheelectronicspackagetooperate
thetreadmill.
3.Pressspeedkeyuntilyoureach1.5-2.0mph/2.5-3.5kphoracomfortable
walkingspeed,keepbothhandsonthehandrails,andwalkforafewminutesto
getcomfortablewithyourmachine.
4.Afteryouarewalkinginaneasy,relaxed,andsteadyfashion,nowreleaseyour
griponthehandrails,andletyourarmsswingfreelyandnaturally.
5.Whenyoufeelcomfortablewalking,youmaywishtojog.Holdthehandrailwith
onehand,usetheotherhandtoincreasethespeedforjogging.
6.Remembertoholdthehandrailwhenusingthecontrolpanelontheelectronics
package,ortocatchyourbalancewhenslowingdownorstopping,andfor
dismounting.
7.Whenyouhavefinishedyourworkout,removetheSAFETYKEYfrom"SAFETY

HowlongshouldIexercise?
HowoftenshouldIexercise?
Thedurationofyourexercisesessionisdependonyourfitnesslevel.Ingeneral,itis
recommendedthatyoumaintainyourheartrateinthetrainingzoneforatleast10
minutestorealizeanaerobicbenefit.AsyourfitnesslevelIncreases,youwillbeable
tomaintainyourheartrateinthetrainingzoneforlongerperiods:Usuallybetween
20and30minutes.
Whenfirststartingyourworkout,usethefirstseveralminutestowarmup,then
slowlyincreaseyourworkloadtobringyourheartrateintoyourspecifictrainingzone.
Attheendofyourworkout,graduallydeceaseyourworkload,thenexerciselightly
asa"cooldown".
Aerobicexercise,toachievethegreatestbenefits,shouldbeperformed3-5timesa
week.Itisimportanttoallowsufficienttime,atleast24hours,foryourbodyto
recoverafterexercise.
Yourtreadmillreliesonlowfrictionforpeakperformance.Thetreadmill'slowfriction
operationisdependentonkeepingtheunitascleanaspossible.See"Cleaningthe
Treadmill"forfurtherinformation.
Properbeltalignmentisalsoimportantforproperoperationofthetreadmill.

TurnofftheunitanddisconnecttheACcordbeforecleaning.
Regularcleaningisrecommendedtokeepyourtreadmillrunningatpeak
performance.
Beforeyourworkout,useadryclothtocleanthelandingplatform,exposedslider
bed,andunderthebeltasfarasyoucaneasilyreach.Thisremovesanydirtordust
whichmightenterthesliderareaandcompromisetheunit'srunningefficiency.
Tocleantheplasticparts,useamilddetergentandmakesuretheunitiscompletely
drybeforeoperating.Ontherunningsurface,useasoftnylonscrubbrush.Donot
usewatertocleanthebeltorrunningsurface,ortocleantheelectronicspackage.
Shouldwater,forsomereason,getontheelectronicspackage,immediatelyblowdry.
Itisrecommendedthatyoukeepallliquidsawayfromtheunitduringoperation.
Spillageofliquidsontoorintothemachinewillvoidthewarranty.

CAUTION:
Yourtreadmillcomeswithabeltalignmentgaugelocatedontheleftsideofthe
motorcover(seeFig.7).Theedgeoftherunningbeltshouldbeinthemiddleofthe
greenportionofthegauge.Ifthebeltedgeisinthegreenarea,thebeltdoesnot
needadjusting.Iftherightedgeisintheredportion,thebeltneedsadjusting
immediately.
Thebeltisproperlyalignedatthefactory.However,duringshippingandhandlingor
byuseonanunevensurface,thebeltmaymoveoffcenter.Therefore,itisimportant
thatyoucheckthebelt'salignmentbeforeusingthetreadmill.
Thecorrectalignmentoftherunningbeltiscriticalforthesmoothoperationofthe
treadmill.
DONOTALLOWANYONETOWALKONRUNNINGBELTDURING
THISPROCEDURE.
Failuretorealignthebeltcouldresultintearingorfrayingofthebelt,whichisnot
coveredinthewarranty.Pleasefollowtheadjustmentprocedurelistedbelow:
1.Turnonthepowerswitchlocatedonthefrontofmachine.PlacetheSAFETY
KEYonthe"SAFETYKEY"position.
2.PresstheSPEEDkeytoincreasethespeeduntilthespeedregisters2.0mph/
3.2kphonthedigitaldisplay.

3.Whiletheunitisrunningat2mph/3.2kph,determinewherethebeltisinrelation
tothebeltalignmentgauge.
4.Shouldyourbeltbeinthewrongcolorrange,followthestepsbelowtoreturnthe
belttothe"safetyzone":
5.Ifthebeltisintheleftredzone:Turntheleftbeltadjustmentboltlocatedatthe
rearofthetreadmillclockwise1/4turnatatime,usingthehexAllenwrench.
Thenturntherightbeltadjustmentboltcounterclockwise1/4turn.Letthe
treadmillrun30seconds,thencheckthepositionofthebeltinthecolorgauge.If
thebeltstillhasnotreturnedtothegreensafetyzone,repeatwithanother1/4
turnuntilthebelthasreturnedtothemiddleofthegreenarea.Donotturn
adjustingboltmorethan1/4turnatatime.
Ifthebeltisontheedgeofthegreencolor,pleaseadjustitsoitisinthemiddleof
thegreencolor.Youmayturntheadjustmentnutlessthan1/4turnatatime.
6.Conversely,ifthebeltisintherightredzone,turntherightbeltadjustmentnut
clockwise1/4turn,thenturntheleftadjustmentboltcounterclockwise1/4turn.
Thenletthetreadmillrunatleast30seconds,checkthepositionofthebeltinthe
colorgauge.Ifitstillhasnotreturnedtothegreensafetyzone,repeatwith
another1/4turnuntilthebelthasreturntothemiddleofthegreenarea.Donot
turnadjustingboltmorethan1/4turnatatime.
7.Whenthebeltisbackinthegreen"safetyzone",youcancontinueyourregular
useofthetreadmill.Slowlyincreasethespeedoftheunitto5.5MPH(9KPH),
andletitrunforatleast45seconds.

Periodicallymonitorthepositionofthebelttoensurepeakperformance:
Whenyouareusingthetreadmill,ifyoufeelapauseinthebeltwitheachfootplant
thebeltistooloose.Stopthemachine,checkthebelttension,lefttherunningbelt
offthedeckinthemiddle(seeFig.8&8-1).Thereshouldbeabout15m/m(5/8")or
3-5kgsof"give"inthebelt.Ifthereistoomuch(seeFig.8-2),thenadjustbothrear
rollerboltsclockwise1/2turnatatime(seeFig.8-3).
Then,trythebelttensionagain,ifmoreadjustingisrequired,givebothadjusting
boltsanotherslightturn.Donotadjustover2fullturns.
Conversely,ifthe"give"inthebeltistootight,adjustbothrearrollerbolts
counterclockwise1/2turnatatime(seeFig.8-3).
Toavoidinjury,specialcaremustbetakenwhenadjustingtherunning
belt.Turnoffthetreadmillwhileadjustingorworkingneartherearrollers.
Removeanylooseclothingorshoelacesandtiebackyourhair.Bevery
carefultokeepyourfingersoranyotherobjectsclearofthebeltand
rollers.
Thetreadmillisdesignedtocarryspecificweightsatspecificspeeds.Thetreadmill
willnotstopimmediatelyifanyobjectbecomescaughtinthebeltorrollers.
Overtighteningofthebeltcausesdamageandprematurefailureoftheprecision
bearingsinthefrontandrearrollers.

Removethedamagedfuseandinsertanewfuse,pushingthefuseandholderin,
thenturningclockwisetosecurethefuseholder(seeFig.8-18-3).
Iftheunit'selectronicspackageormotorrefusestorespondafterchangingthefuse,
pleasecontactyourdealerformoreinformation.
Shouldtheinclinesystemrefusetorespond,butthereispowertotheelectronics

The4ampfuseisfortheInclinesystem.Toremovetheinclinesystemfuse,pushon

fuseandholderin,thenturningclockwisetosecurethefuseholder(seeFig.9-19-
3).
Iftheinclinesystemrefusestorespondafterchangingthefuse,pleasecontactyour
dealerformoreinformation.
NOTE:Ifyouarenotatechnicianordonothaveexpertknowledgeofthismachine.
Pleasedonotattempttoreplaceit.
Ifthereisnothingdisplaysontheelectronicspackage,andthePOWERSWITCH
locatedonthefrontofthetreadmilliflit,thenthefuseisdamagedonthedriveboard
andmustbereplaced.
