Addendum Installation and Operation manual DVR600 Series
Support third party hard disks
From firmware version 2.0.6 onwards the DVR630/650 and 670 Series supports the use of unsigned hard disk
drives, allowing the use of third-party (non-Bosch) hard drives in the recorder.
The hard drives listed below are released and recommended for use in the DVR 600 Series Advantage Line
Digital Recorders. These are available from Bosch Security Systems as DVR-XSxx0-A Storage Expansion Kits.
We do not test drives other than those indicated above to verify reliability.
Warranty and support issues:
• Bosch can not be held liable for any loss or damages or system malfunction resulting from the use of non-
Bosch drives in DVR 630/650 and 670 Series Advantage Line recorders
• Bosch provides advance exchange and carry-in service on Bosch products only. Non-Bosch hard drives
should be removed from DVR 630/650 and 670 Series recorders when returning these units for repair.
• Should non-Bosch hard disk drives be returned, then Bosch will not be held responsible for loss of these
drives or any information recorded on these drives or for any consequential damages.

stored on non-Bosch drives.
