Modeofoperation—Mulchingthegrassrequiresthemost
batteryenergy.Baggingrequiresthesecondhighestamount
ofbatteryenergy,andsidedischargingusestheleast.
Cuttingheight—Ifthebatteryisrunningdowntoofast,raise
thecuttingheightanotch.
GeneralMulchingTips
Torodesignedyourmachinetomulchgrasswhenthemulch

Whenchangingthecuttingheightfromanestablishedsetting
toahighercuttingheight,thegrassmayappearraggedor
unevenuntilthegrassadjuststothenewestablishedcutting
heightandregainsitsnormalappearance.
Whencuttinggrassover15cm(6inches)tall,youmaywant
torstmowusingthegrassbagortheoptionalsidedischarge
chute,ortrythehighestcutting-heightsettingandaslower
walkingspeed;thenmowagainatalowersettingforthebest
lawnappearance.Ifthegrassistoolong,leavingclumpson
topofthelawn,themachinemayplugandcausethemotor

Alternatethemowingdirection.thishelpstodispersethe

Setthecuttingheightonthefrontwheelsanotchlowerthan
thatoftherearwheels.Forexample,setthefrontwheels
atthe76mm(2-1/2inch)settingandtherearwheelsatthe
64mm(3-inch)setting.
CuttingLeaves
Whencuttingiscomplete,alwaysbesurethathalfofthelawn
showsthroughthecutleafcover.Thismayrequiremorethan
asinglepassovertheleaves.
Forlightleafcoverage,positionallthewheelsatthesame
cutting-heightsetting.
Walkataslowermowingspeediftheleavesarenotcutup
