Clip the unit onto your clothing.

Connect the electrodes to the wires of the SPORT-ELEC unit (see paragraph 3).

Take the 4 electrodes and carefully remove the holder which protects each of them, moisten

them one by one, spreading a few drops of water on the adhesive gel with the tips of your fin-

gers and wait for 2 minutes. (see diagram II page 4)

Place the electrodes in pairs on the selected area. After washing and drying the skin, position

the electrodes as shown in the examples page 5 to 7.

Check that all SPORT-ELEC Selection 4 Beauté lights are out and power button(s) in low-

est position.

Open the battery compartment and connect the two 9-volt batteries to the connec-

tors. Insert the batteries into the compartment, and then close the case.

General

SPORT-ELEC Selection 4 is designed for women and men who are concerned about their

appearance. The SPORT-ELEC Selection 4 Beauté, which is an apparatus for passive gym-

nastics by electro-muscle development, makes it possible to activate, by "contraction-

rest" effect, the muscles on which you wish to work. The aims of the SPORT-ELEC

Selection 4 Beauté are as follows : To improve the figure, by acting on the muscle mass

(waist, abdomen, buttocks, thighs and legs) and to develop some muscles in particular

(pectoral, abdominal, biceps, etc.).

SPORT-ELEC SELECTION 4 Beauté contains 4 programmes developed by SPORT-ELEC

research. The frequencies and pulse widths of each programme have been defined

to correspond perfectly to the needs of each of us :

- To work the muscle gently and facilitate its recovery after an effort

- To improve tissue firmness

- To remodel the silhouette

In conclusion, depending on our activity, some muscles are developed to a greater or

lesser extent, whilst other, less used muscles waste away. There are more than 600

muscles in our bodies. The shape and harmony of our bodies depend on our muscles.

The SPORT-ELEC Selection 4 Beauté makes it possible to activate a group of muscles

without effort on your part. Daily use will restore strength to your muscles.

ADVICE FOR USE :

- Do not exceed 40 minutes of muscle work per area and per day.

- For optimum use, get ideas from the diagrams shown in this brochure.

- You can, if you wish, have two 20-minute sessions, changing the area of the electrodes; for example, 20

minutes for the abdominal muscles and 20 minutes for the buttocks.

- Store the electrodes in their original packing in a cool place

- The electrodes have a life of approximately 60 uses. Do not hesitate to order them

Make sure the all button of power is set at minimum (pushed to the left).

Put the switch on “ I ”.

SELECT YOUR PROGRAM USING THE “PROGRAMME” BUTTON

WELL-BEING (frequency band : from 1 to 13 Hz)

Your muscles prepare for effort and warm up. You are now ready to move on, either to muscle building, or

to your favourite sport.

ENERGY (frequency band : from 3 to 60 Hz)

This program enables you to increase your muscular tonicity

FITNESS (frequency band : from 3 to 100 Hz)

Develops muscle response to work at speed.

RELAXATION (frequency band : from 40 to 100 Hz)

Programme delivering a current reducing feelings of muscular tension.

ADJUSTING INTENSITY:

Gently turn the black button power from left to right, you will begin to feel contractions, increa-

se power as necessary. The contractions must be firm but never painful.

If you feel an unpleasant sensation around the electrodes : bring the power-on button back to

minimum, move the electrode(s) and gradually increase the power. Once the adjustments have

been optimised in this way, leave your appliance to work for the full duration of the programme.

Press O/I key until light(s) come(s) on.

At the end of the session, put the power button on the minimum position.

Press O/I key.

Disconnect the electrodes, remove them gently, wet them slightly with a few drops of water

and place them carefully on their support. Store the electrodes in a cool dry place. Store the

,SAFETY INSPECTION - Inspect the following points every 24 months :

1. Check if there is any surface damage.

2. Check if the unit is operating correctly :

* the writing on the housing must be legible

* check the switch and contactor.

3. Check if the accessories are reliable

* condition of the electrode wires

* condition of the electrodes (no tears or material defects).

4. Measure the electrical values

* under a load of 500 ohms, the peak voltage at the output must not exceed 100 V.
