CHECKING FOR GAS LEAKS
• Checkthatallconnectionsaretightandthatthegas

thecylindergasvalveon.
• NEVERcheckforleakswithaameorpilotlight.
• Usingsoapywatercoatallconnections,ifbubbles
appearturnthecylindergascontroloffandretightenthe
connectionbeforere-testing.
• Inspecttheapplianceregularlyforsignsofwear,leaks
orincorrectoperation.Ifsymptomssuchasaringof
theburners,issueswithlighting,damagestohoses
orconnectionsorleaksfromsealsorgascontrols
areidentieddonotattempttorepair,returntoyour
authorisedstockistforserviceandmaintenance.
• Tocheckifgasremainsinthecylinder,disconnectfrom
theapplianceandholdthecylinderinaverticalposition
thenshakefromsidetoside,ifthereisasoundorfeelof
liquidmovementinsidethecylindercontainsgas.
• Whenchanginggascylindersensurethisisconducted
outsideinawellventilatedlocationfreefrompeople,
animalsandignitionsourcessuchasnakedames,pilot
lightsandelectricalequipmentwithheatersorelements.
